Date of Stay: July, 2009

This hotel is working hard on a renovation. Our room was stylish, spacious and clean. The living area of the room seemed brand new, while the bathroom needed to be updated. The window opened and we had a great view. We had a deal on the room that included free parking - unheard of in downtown Minneapolis! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We were there to attend the Basilica Block Party, which was easily within walking distance. There were several restaurants and bars, including Brit's Pub, nearby. My only complaint was that hallway noise was easily heard through the door. Otherwise, this hotel met our needs at a price that couldn't be beat!

I stay at the Millennium often and am always extremely happy. The desk staff are great - they have all the information you need to have a great weekend on the town. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance and Nicollet Mall street seems like a safe neighborhood. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I am picky. The lobby bar has good drinks and the food is not too expensive. Millennium is my first choice when going downtown.

This hotel has a nice lobby and is in a fairly convenient location to downtown Minneapolis. It is a short walk from the hotel to the central business district, and there are a number of restaurants nearby. But when they updated and spruced up the lobby and the elevators they seem to have skipped the rooms themselves, or at the least the room I had. The furniture, walls, carpet, bathroom, etc. were all dated and damaged and didn't look as if they had been very nice when new. Fine if you are just looking for someplace to sleep but not up to the standard one would expect of a national chain at this price point in the downtown area of a major city. I stayed at the Hyatt across the street about four months earlier and the room was much nicer.

Convenient location. Clean, comfortable, and spacious room. The desk staff was exceptionally polite and helpful; they handled our group of over 100 and its activities flawlessly. I especially liked the Dome Room, with its beautiful veiw of the city. A breakfast in the hotel restaurant was mediocre and overpriced, but otherwise the experience was perfect.

Location. The lobby is a little small and sterile, but that's no big deal. The location is great.But I can't speak much for anything else. I didn't use the hotel other than to sleep and shower. I arrived late in the evenings and was out early in the mornings. I didn't use the workout facilities and didn't eat or drink at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well appointed. My bed was comfortable. My single-occupancy room (with two full-sized beds) was a little small by Minneapolis standards.

This hotel is located on Nicollet Mall and connected to skyway. It is very conveniently located. The bar and food are excellent and fairly priced. The staff were very friendly, quick and helped me a lot getting around the area. My room was comfortable, clean and had an awesome view of the city. My stay was definately worth the rate - it will be my first choice next time I'm in Minneapolis.

The property is need of major renovation and updating. It is not a 3.5 star property. Public areas and rooms and outdated and dank smelling. Bathrooms are tiny. Mirrored closet doors were cracked. Wallpaper torn. Bring some disinfectent for your feet if you walk around barefoot in the room.

The hotel was dated and rather shabby. Eventhough we had a non-smoking room, the hallways smelled strongly of old smoke. Not really a value for what it cost.

I chose this hotel as a "Online Pick" and we were not disappointed. We were able to get two rooms side by side; they were clean and well-appointed. The hotel is on Nicollet Mall, close to lots of downtown attractions and restaurants. A taxi ride to the Metrodome was only $5 for 4 of us and it's within walking distance to the train that leads to Mall of America. If you forget something, Walgreens, Target, and Macy's are all a few blocks away and there several restaurants a stroll away. One night it was so cold (11 below zero) that we ordered room service and had a blast. Rooms are quiet, the fitness center is OK (two treadmills and an elliptical), but the pool was always full. The front desk staff was friendly and made some great recommendations. Would stay there again!

The stock photo for this hotel looks great. The rooms are VERY small and outdated. I had a room with a king bed and a sofa. The sofa looked like it had been in the room for at least 15 years. The bathroom wasn't very clean and poorly set up. The bathtub was disgusting!The movie rental system quit working 10 minutes into the movie. I restarted it and it quit 20 minutes later again. Low and behold, I was billed for both showings. The desk was able to remove the charges for me. As for the free breakfast....they might as well have paid me to eat it. It had been sitting in the warmer for hours and was beyond overcooked.The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The bar area was nice.On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give it a 3. Look elsewhere for a nice room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The public areas of the hotel were clean and aesthetically pleasing. The restaurant and bar in the lobby area were very nice. The guest rooms were comfortable and spacious, but the decor was out-dated and there were scratches and scuff marks all over the wallpaper and furniture.

The Millennium hotel was my best experience in downtown. The room was gorgeous with a great view. It is blocks from central downtown, restaurants, bars, everything! The staff was amazing - from reservations to the concierge to the maid. The staff went above and beyond. They even called me after check-in to be sure that I was comfortable in my room! I cant wait to visit again.

Millennium was the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Bathroom was VERY small, I was unsatisfied with the Breakfast package I paid EXTRA for and they charged me a 2 to use the phone for two local calls...one of which because the receptionist gave me the wrong #. A Motel wouldn't even do that. Parking is 15, which even in Downtown Chicago it's free if you are staying at the hotel! Unhappy guest for a weekend I wanted to be great.

Nice quiet hotel, convenient to convention center. However I booked through Orbitz with the understanding that would get a Superior room with upgrades which were supposed to include fridge and microwave. Room had neither when I arrived. They finally agreed to provide a fridge, but only after paying $5.00 a day extra fee.
