Wow! The view of Times Square looming over buildigns across the street was iconic. Staffed by a doorman on 44th St. West, the Broadway Millenium Hotel itself has a modest, subdued registation desk, all fitted in maroon velvet. Staff was very helpful and told us we had gotten an upgrade from the King room to a Queen in the Luxury Tower. A pleasant and welcome surprise after walking miles around Manhattan. The 19th floor room was one of six on a very quiet floor pleasantly minded by hotel staff in the travertine marble lobby. The room had nice linens great bed, bathroom was roomy and very modern and very functional. Lots of towels and my wife liked the soaps and hair products, the shower and the tub. We were in town for a play and had enjoyed a drink at the Algonquin down the street on the next block, and planned a late supper at Sardi's with my wife's cousin who was acting in the show we saw later that night. We had wine at Marseilles in the corner of 44th and ninth avenue, a two-star NYT restaurant that was packed and the food looked great. The bartenders were attentive and pleasantly chatty. After the play, "Belles," instead of Sardi's, we went to a favorite haunt of my wife's cousin at the NY Film Institute Bar (?) on 9th Avenue, Across from the NYU film annex in midtown on 9th Ave(?). Short walk back across Times Square and Broadway crawling with tourists and squealing teenagers shooting each other with photo phones, to the hotel just a few blocks away. Slept like a log on the firm but pliant bed! Perfect!

My wife and I were very please with our stay at the Millennium Hotel. We were greeted warmly when we checked-in and felt very comfortable in the surroundings. We were pleasantly surprised with our large hotel room (relative to other midtown hotels). We needed non-down filled pillows and ours were replaced promptly. A light was burned out in the bathroom. We reported this and it was replaced immediately. The hotel's central location cannot be beat. We were only steps away from Broadway and shopping. At the same time, we felt totally removed from the noise and action when we entered the hotel. We were only bothered by a couple of things. One late evening we decided to relax in the bar, since the adjoining restaurant had already closed. After waiting about ten minutes for someone in the nearly empty bar to take our order, we left. It really seems that there should have been much better service in a place that was charging 10 - 15 per drink! Also, I think that it is hard to explain why many 3 and 4 star hotels still do not offer free Wi-Fi. It is even more difficult to understand why a first class hotel like this one does not provide a computer/printer that guests could use to print airline boarding passes. Instead, we had to pay for access in their computer center just to print our pass. Tacky. Overall, we were very please with out stay at this hotel and would return.

The Millenium Broadway was an excellent location for managing a trip to connect with several popular tourist sites. Located less than a block off Time's Square, we were able to walk to every show we saw and have a multitude of eating options as well as catch main stops for hop-on/hop-off tours. The room was spacious, full ironing board, large bathroom, comfortable bed, two stuffed chairs, and a decent view. Being close to everything, the room was extremely quiet. A nice touch was a security guard posted at the door each night checking for room cards.

Very nice and business like helpfull staff. Very dark in lobby. Rooms were pretty large for NY standardsI thought. Everything seemed very clean, gym was nice also, would have liked a steam or hot tub though.

We stayed here the weekend of March 26, 2009. The hotel was in an excellent location and our room had a great view of Times Square. Don't come expecting the WOW factor in this hotel - our room would have been a $** room elsewhere, however the service was good and everyone was very nice. Great access to all the tour bus stops, theaters, etc. We did get a great rate booking through online travel website.

This was a wonderful hotel. I will definitely stay here again. The location and my room were perfect. It was my mother and I first trip to New York. My mother was pleased with the hotel. Everything went off without a hitch. We were able to check in before 4 PM. That was GREAT since we had an early fight. The pictures did not lie. The concieger gave excellent information and clear exact directions. Pleasant attitudes and very helpful. One thing to mention...do not try to use the refridgetor, it has sensors. Any items moved will be charged to your room. Called the front desk when I noticed the charge, they removed it. Other than that, my trip was PERFECT. Did a lot of shopping and sightseeing. This hotel is perfect for Broadway shows. Next time that will be my plan.

Millennium Hotel is an easy access to the theater district with fast friendly staff from parking, front desk, to check out. Bathroom is large and clean. Room is comfortable and clean and large enough to get around and feel at home.

Location to Times Square was excellent. It was a very nice, clean hotel. No coffee maker in the room. The restaurant had limited hours and a limited menu.

What a Wonderful hotel! Excellent location to Times-Square. ALL personnel were VERY gracious! We were upgraded to a top floor suite at NO CHARGE....what a nice surprise! Hotel was clean and quiet. Only "issue" I found was that our luggage (held until later in the day on our departure morning) we found sitting in the lobby of the hotel upon our return! I felt that was a "security issue". Would recommen them putting them in a more secure area to be held....not accessible to the public. Overal we had a great time and I would definitely stay again in the future!

I've stayed in four hotels on 44th Street in the Theatre District -- The Iroquois, The Algonquin, The City Hotel, and now the Broadway Millennium. The Millennium was the most comfortable -- with the largest rooms and bathrooms. This is unusual for Manhattan hotels in this price range -- most have tiny rooms and even smaller bathrooms. The location is top notch - half a block from Times Square -- close but not too close. The only negative about the Millennium was some of the staff. The housekeepers are annoying -- knocking on your door every 20 minutes when they know darn well you're still in there. We go to NYC for the Broadway shows, so we're not out of the rooms by 9:30 every morning. One knock is fine but when they keep at it, it gets annoying. Worse was the arrogant guy at the desk when I told him the internet wasn't working. He treated me like a hick. No -- I didn't need to call the 1-800 number of the "separate company" that provides internet service. I know how to work it. And this wasn't working. I finally gave up and had no internet service in mid-town Manhattan for a whole week in this hotel. No big deal -- there are about 4300 Starbucks within walking distance -- but the attitude of this guy was problematic. He was also kind of a jack*** about the computerized snack system, noting again that it too was handled by "a different company." I do recommend the Millennium, though: Very good rooms, comfort & location. Ranking of theatre district hotels I've stayed in: (1) Millennium; (2) Algonquin (fabulous history & atmosphere); (3) City Hotel; (chic, cool but tiny); (4) Iroquois (small rooms, great staff). All good places.

The Millenium Broadway has much to offer. The location is excellent, the service, the response to special requests, the restaurant, all were fine. The room was large enough to accomodate, at the last minute, a roll-away bed. Housekeeping brought up extra towels without being asked. Concierge service was very knowledgeable. All in all, the best in comfort and accomodation of requests. We shall stay here every time we can. They also have special rates from time to time.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Faucet from bath fell off and hit my friend's foot, fixed. Hotel staff and switchboard were friendly. Porters referred me to the concierge desk when it was already closed!

We just got back from 4 nights at the hotel and it was awesome! Great service, clean rooms, great location - 1/2 block of the best part of Times Square - 10 min walk to the theatre! I highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back.

Great location; perfect for theater goers. Old fashioned hotelt luxury. Lobby and front desk management was torture. Staff seemed frazzled and annoyed. Wait for checkin was awful. Baggage handling was disorganized.I'll stay somewhere else on next trip, even though price was reasonable and the room was luxorious for the price. If you don't mind standing around in the lobby, this is a great spot. A-plus in every other way.

The Millennium Hotel has a beautiful lobby and very freindly staff. The room was spotless and well decorated and although there was only one sink in the bathroom the counter was so large that two people could get ready at the same time without bumping into each other. Our room was at the end of the hall next to the ice machine and a stairwell which made me concerned about possoble noise but once we closed our door the world outside disappeared. The beds had high quality bedding and two pillows one soft one hard. The hotel is 1/2 a block form Broadway and the center of times square making it a perfect location.

The hotel was very nice (39th floor), clean (except the glasses weren't) and extremely close to the Lunt Fontaine theatre and subway. I was a bit annoyed originally at not being able to check in until 4pm, but they were understanding and got us in at 1:30 or so. Only stayed 1 day for Lil Mermaid and it was great for my 5yr old. Room was bigger than others that I have stayed in in the area. Would stay again.

When I arrived at the Millennium Broadway after 10 hours of travelling, my stay began with being informed that my reservation (made through online travel website and paid in full in advance) had been cancelled. It took almost an hour before that was sorted out. Then I was given a room in a lower category than the one for which I had paid. That took another half hour to resolve. Despite the Manager personally receivng a confirmation from online travel website that I had a 3-night reservation, two days later I was informed that my reservation was over and that I had to check out a day early. The front desk person who "assisted" me assumed that I was wrong and had a bad attitude. Another manager had to go through the entire confirmation process again before I could have my room for the third night (for which I had paid in full in advance of arrival). That took another hour. On another note, room service was like the Keystone Cops--one cocktail took three return visits and the order still wasn't right.
