It was very nice staying there nice and quiet. Also didnt care when i got back to my room.

Historic, prestigious. Rooms, fixtures, bathroom very dated - may be due to trying to preserve the hotel. When I think of the Baltimore I think of a very prestigious hotel. The general atmosphere was very nice but the rooms were very out dated.

Solid hotel service in an amazing building. Check out the pool and the "historic hallway" with photos of old Hollywood parties and Academy Awards ceremonies held in the hotel. Parking is way expensive, $40/night, but you can park in Pershing Square garage across Olive St. for about $15/night if you don't need to go in and out very often. My only major complaint was the noise - our room window was over the air conditioner and it was very, very noisy all the time - even with the window closed. Also there was street noise and occasionally sirens. You can walk to Little Tokyo (almost a mile) but you have to go through about two blocks of business district that's abandoned after 5 to homeless folk - a little creepy but I didn't feel unsafe. We mainly explored there and in the little market near the hotel - lots of yummy-looking Mexican and Chinese food, plus veg and fruit stalls.

The history of this hotel speaks for itself. It's beautiful. It's a little worn, which keeps it from being 5 star, but it has all of the amenities of a 5 star location. The bed was wonderful. The location is perfect because it's across the street from Pershing Square red line (metro). You can get anywhere in minutes without having to drive. If you do drive, parking is 40, so park at Pershing square for 16 and walk across the street. I recommend this property!

The Biltmore Hotel was a much nicer Hotel that I thought it would be. The staff was very friendly and had no problems with anything. I stayed with a friend to attend a convention. Only thing I had a problem was the location. Not much to do around the hotel, have to walk a bit to get to anything nice. The price was about half the cost of any other Hotel around the convention center. I would stay again and recommend this spot for anyone else that wants a nice cheap Hotel.

Great location and full of history. Parking fee of 40 dollars. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was tiny. The history of the hotel was a joy and they were very accommodation about letting us tour the facilities.

Beautiful downtown landmark, centrally located between Pasadena and all things Westside.

The hotel is gorgeous. The lobby and ballrooms are magnificent. My room was a standard king which was large and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but adequate. Dinner and breakfast was very good but a little pricey. I did not park there because it was $$$ expensive. However, there is parking right across the street if you take the elevator to the ground floor and go out those doors. The hotel is located downtown which is easy access to many attractions. The business center in the hotel made it very easy to print a boarding pass for the flight home.

The check in was speedy even though busy. Staff attentive to smooth arrival and check in. Room was larger then the average room and immaculent! It was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. No distrubances and could set the thermastat for my comfort level. Shower had pressure. Must tour the hotel to observe the detail of architecture! Will return.

It is an old hotel and the rooms aren't modern. The location was convenient for the purpose of my visit. The lobby, halls and ballrooms are impressive.

The overall appearance of hotel was breathtaking and staff was awesome. Bathrooms were very small and a bit old looking.

Excellent downtown location for this stylish hotel with a fascinating history. Often used in films/tv - they were filming while I was there. I suppose price reflects location in downtown (ie, business) location.

I grew up in suburban L.A., but had never stayed downtown, so took advantage of the fact that my wife were catching an early train departing from Union Station to stay at the Biltmore. We asked if we could get a room with a safe in it, and the clerk upgraded us to a Club Level room. It was spacious and had a nice view of Pershing Square, which was full of ice skaters for the Xmas season. The main hallway of the hotel was atmospheric and historic. Old photos looked like scenes from "The Shining." We felt safe walking to a restaurant at night. We did have two (very expensive) drinks at the hotel's bar. There's quite a lot of interest in downtown, including the Bradbury Building, Grand Central Market, Angels Flight, and many stores and restaurants. Easy access to a subway station.

the room is horribly dirty. I put on my brand new socks and by just walking around trying to get dress .By the time I put my shoes on my brand new socks just turn black. I called for housekeeping .They fix the bed but didn't clean. They left me a note that unable to do housekeeping due to privacy which I didn't request. The blow dryer was broken.I called for another one it tokk them 45mins to get it to me.The aircondition ventilation was just full of dust. The bed is hard as a rock. It just look good in the picture but overall the hotel in nasty.

when I was at the hotel we used the pool once. really cmfortable beds but we didn't recieve the club room we booked online. when we tried to upgrade they told us to wait a day so we did and when we tried again they told us they couldn't get us one. extremely upset about that because we paid extra a night to get a nicer room. tried to order room service one night because it said it was open from 10pm-6am, we called down there and they said it was closed when it shouldn't have been. was a nice hotel but overall was just ok, staff was kind of rude and didn't get ideally what we wanted.

Main location in down town LA. Really old hotel. Really old, like 17TV from prob 80's. Everything was old and plus parking charge was $40/ day. Way to over rated.

A well located hotel for LA arts scene and a charming and interesting destination in its own right

This old hotel is a little piece of history and must be a best kept secret as I have never heard anyone speak of it. For an 85 year old hotel it has been very well maintained. The service is impeccable, the staff friendly and attentive and lots of attention is paid to details. The room was extremely clean and the bed was as comfortable as my own.I was particularly impressed by the duvet and pristeen duvet cover ! I usually will not even touch a bedspread on a hotel bed, but this was delightful. Other than breakfast, which was superb, we didn't eat in the retaurants. I plan to next time. We did have late night dessert via room service and it was prompt. We had cocktails in the bar and it was beautiful. I wish I had had more time to wander around this grand old hotel as there is so much to see, including the corridor of old photos from the 9 academy awards this hotel hosted. I can't compliment this hotel enough. It easily rivals any Ritz Carlton I have been to. Additionally, booking through online website travel, we were able to get an exceptionally good rate. If downtown Los Angeles is a convenient location for your stay then I highly recommend this hotel.

When you stay at the Biltmore you are going back into history. The hotel is well-maintained and the architecural details inside the main lobby are exceptional. The hotel has a great bar with wood carvings and stone work with sculptures that go back to a by-gone era. The hotel has several good restaurants, and is located a short walk from a number of LA's best restaurants downtown. The location is excellent if you are doing business in various parts of downtown LA. The hotel has a good fitness facility, and the service is friendly and helpful. the room decor is nice, but slightly dated and could use an upgrade, although it has character.Parking in the hotel is very expensive, but the Pershing Square parking garage across the street offers parking for 14 per day. This is a fine great old hotel, and one of the better values in downtown LA.
