All I have to say is we walked into our room and immediately called to check back out. The rooms were ridiculously small.. and smelled like mold and smoke! (including the hallways). Staff seemed friendly, and understood completely. The view from the rooms is gross also. Not worth the money at all.

Great location for our purposes. Clean and conformtable.

Parking on site/close to Fenway, etc. internet access is an extra fee.

Fine place to stay due to location...near Symphony Hall, Huntington Theater, Thornton cafe for fine inexpensive breakfast, good ethnic restaurants, public transportation. Also easy to reach by car, and has on-site parking (at extra charge).

we stayed at Midtown 5 times as our student attends college down the street. we are done, although it is good value it is getting seedier and seedier. this time the beds were made with top sheets only...nasty, would not stay tucked in...noise is always a factor as groups of kids frequent this hotel...if you want a cheap hostel experience - go for it . we are ready to pay more for quality and quiet. Woman at front desk is consistently rude..boys are nice.

The Midtown Hotel is convenient to the artsy district and is directly across the street from the Christian Science buildings. A quick block or two to the subway and you're off to see all that Boston has to offer. The rooms however are desperately in need of updating. Green carpeting and that 80s floral print on the bedspread make think I'm staying at my Grandma's Florida condo. The rooms have very thin walls and it's difficult to get to sleep because you can hear everyone walk down the hallways. When a neighbor closes his door, it sounds like it's slamming! The water pressure on the shower head is excellent.I do have two very major complaints however. When the weather is cooler (about 60 F or so) they turn off the air conditioning to all the rooms. You no longer have the ability to cool your room! It was 78 degrees F in my room for two days and I couldn't get it any cooler. The manager was indifferent and offered to bring up a fan. What? I can't control the temperature of my own room? The second complaint: No free Internet access. I couldn't even hop on to another WiFi in the area as they were all secured.Overall, the hotel did a good job for the price. During the time I stayed, other hotels were at least one hundred dollars more expensive.

The location of the hotel was superb. Most of the staffs we had contact with were friendly, other than the manager who checked us in. The hotel is really old though and the bed is very uncomfortable.

The room was well-appointed, clean and ready upon arrival. The room doors slammed shut. Nicely appointedbasic room. It was very clean and when additional towels were requested, they were promptly delivered.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Midtown Hotel Boston. Once again we found the staff very friendly, helpful and very professional. The location is brilliant, easy access to city center by walking or by the T. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and would stay there again when visiting Boston.

The Mid Town is very conveniently located in the Back Bay section of Boston. Subway access was close by. The area was safe. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful: outstanding, actually! The room was small, carpet shabby and door/hallways dim and in need of paint. However, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom roomy. We appreciated the hairdryer, coffee/tea, and usual soaps. Room was clean and quiet. A good value for mid priced downtown hotel. Would have like to have free wireless available.

This hotel is in a very good location. A cab ride to all of the tourist spots is only about *. The hotel itself looks old and outdated. The restaurant and pool were both closed when we stayed there. We paid about * per night. That is a bit high, in my opinion, considering the hotel offers nothing special. However, this place offered a clean room at the best rate for downtown Boston (that I could find anyway)

I like this location for this business trip. Staff should be more helpful if they can ask what the costumers need

Simple and clean. Neighborhood seemed a little shady. I had a great experience in this hotel. Although the hallways were dark and the parking lot was a little tight, the room was clean and did the job. Also, it was close to the T and easy to jump on the highway from. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent friendly service. We arrived several hours before the stated check-in time but were able to get our rooms straight away. Location very central. Overall very good value.

This place was weird. It was like I stepped back into 1963. I expected to turn on the TV and see John F. Kennedy. This place is extremely conveniently located - a 2 minute walk to the Prudential Center and the Pru T- stop (also a half block from the Symphony station) but not many amenities. No restaurant or bar. Room was pretty lame - no refrigerator. I had a nice view out my window of the parking garage. Toilet had to be fixed twice during my one week stay. Both beds in my room were decidedly slanted so that I rolled downhill into my wife. Weird. Again, location is excellent. And it's cheap. The front desk staff, though was friendly and VERY helpful. They have on-site parking but it will cost you $ a night.

We were in town for a Red Sox game. Looking for the best location and value, we chose the Midtown Hotel. The staff were great - very helpful with directions. This hotel is about location, location, location. It is an easy walk to Fenway as well as other attractions - very close to the Prudential building. The parking was only * for one day - quite a bargain in downtown Boston. Our room was small, but we weren't there much so it didn't matter. The bed was relatively uncomfortable and we did see a roach in the bathroom. But then again, we also saw a live mouse in the cafe nearby. Other than that, I would still stay at the Midtown again. Great location, great staff - enjoyed it!

This place is less than a mile from Fenway, and it's not far from some nice, funky music stores & restaurants. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. They skipped cleaning my room on one day,but that's no big thing. I will go there again;no doubt.

Friendly staff and great location. Very noisy until 2 a.m. no restaurant or pool. Great location just a block from the Prudential Center and Symphony. The vending machines didn't work and there was no restaurant or pool, but the staff was very friendly.

My overall experience was horrible. I was there for a conference. My flight was late. I called to let them know. When I arrive the front desk person gave me no information about what services were available at the hotel. I was hungry and wanted a meal when I called for room service, I was told they had none but I could call for a delivery. When I called to order none of the places listed delivered. It was about 8PM and I had to walk several blocks to get a small meal. My room was in the rear of the hotel and I was offered no assistance inspite of telling them I had spinal surgery and could not lift. When I checked out they told me they had 24 hour bell serviice. The room was uncomfortable and in poor repair. The only thing they did was drop the bill off under my door.I have lodge a complaint through Orbitz and the hotel survey with not response. I would like to make other people aware of the poor quality at 129 per night.

The Midtown appeared to have been painted and "cleaned up" since we stayed there two years ago. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out process was efficient. The motel is almost across the street from the Prudential Center and near the T so it is easily accessible. I would recommend it to people looking for a clean, basic place to stay in Boston.
