Excellent for long layovers The Hotel Midland describes itself as a "deluxe two-star hotel," and that is a good description.. What you will get is excellent service in a location that is extremely convenient to the international and domestic terminals of the Mumbai airport. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Midland and would stay there again. My husband and I had a long layover in Mumbai (10:00 p.m. until 9:30 a.m. the next day) and booked a room at the Hotel Midland for some much-needed rest. We were very pleased with the hotel. The customer service is excellent, and the convenience of the hotel's free shuttle service to and from the airport can't be beat. We were also pleased with the neighborhood, which was still lively (but not noisy) until after midnight, which allowed us to get something to eat and look at the shops prior to getting some rest. The accommodations at the Hotel Midland are not luxurious and rooms are small, but they are clean and tidy--think of accommodations at smaller, older European hotels. The complimentary breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a particularly nice way to end our stay prior to heading to the airport.

The best part is that it is very close to the international AND domestic airport and is ideal for an overnight before catching an inter-india flight at the domestic airport. Perks: *Free airport pick up/drop off. It’s very comforting to see the sign with your name on it when you exit the airport. *Free breakfast as room service *Free internet station *Friendly and efficient staff *A/C and western style toilet I would stay at this hotel again if I needed an affordable stay near the airport.

The Hotel staff picked me up at the Mumbai International Airport and took me to the hotel. I needed just one night's rest to catch a flight next day and I was able to accomplish that. Staff was friendly. Room was okay for a night in Mumbai. A group of young people arrived in the middle of the night and were EXTREMELY NOISY in the corridor with NO REGARD or even awareness that they might be disturbing the people sleeping in the neighboring rooms. Hopefully the hotel staff will take notice of this and will STOP such occurances. Next day the hotel car took me back to the Airport. This pick up and drop of service was the best part.

Mumbai is so expensive and we were looking for an affordable clean place to spend our last transit day before returning home. Hotel Midland is close to the airport. The cost was reasonable for the location (near the airport) and the rooms were clean and quiet although somewhat run-down. Like all but the highest-end hotels, the bedspreads and towels aren't sparkling-looking but were clean (and the sheets were new). Breakfast was included and was great on the little rooftop patio. There's a great bakery nearby with really good coffee(leave the hotel and go left a few businesses - it's on the same side of the street) and some restaurants - not a touristy hotel, but this was the first time in 3 weeks we were able to walk the streets and not get pestered to buy something - there are quiet neighborhoods nearby for walking. Otherwise the location isn't fantastic for sightseeing. We were able to pay for 1/2 day to stay in the room until the evening, which was really nice. Overall we'd recommend for someone looking for a reasonably-priced clean hotel near the airport (and doesn't car about ambiance so much). Also, free airport transfers in a clean roomy van are a huge plus! The staff were also quite friendly and helpful.
