The room was just what we needed. Clean, correct size, no smoking smell, clean bathroom, new shower curtain. The price was excellent for our stay. I will be booking there again.

The hotel was nice, rooms were small.

The room arrangement was spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The queen suite could handle 5 for sleeping. The extra sink came in handy, along with the fridge, microwave, wireless internet in the room, and breakfast - a great value. A small desk plus separate table and chairs allowed space for work and eating.

I stay here frequently because it offers a good price and is clean. The breakfast is minimal, but most places now charge you for breakfast. The hotel is starting to show a little wear due to the travelling workman traffic, but they have been updating things periodically. You are close to restaraunts, the mall, and VT and Radford are both a short drive away.

The hotel experience was great, very clean and quite. It was not until I received my check out bill that I was given a bill for $18.26 less than what I booked online. Of course, I called Orbitz and they came up with various excuses as to why they charged me close to $20.00 over the hotel price. I called the hotel back to verified the amount that was on the bill. I will never use this online service again. I am a travel agent that has been ripped off by Orbitz. I plan to spread this little profit making ordeal.

It was exactly what I needed for a trip to find an apartment in the area. The continental breakfast should have been available longer. This is a simple economy hotel. It is a good choice if you don't want to spend a lot and just need a place to sleep and shower.

Had double room. 3 pillows per bed and very fluffy. Lightweight down blanket was wonderful. They just changed their mattresses and bedding. Room was adequate size and very clean. Price is great !! Will definitely stay here again.

This Microtel was great for the money. We spend a lot of time with our son and not in our hotel. The room was small but comfortable and the window seat was a great feature.

It was clean and OK for one night stay. No luxuries, just bare necessities. Only staying one night hard to give an overall opinion. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good, except you were in the Lobby with traffic going back and forth.

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. Liked the Japanese Steakhouse Restaurant across the street. The room is comfortable. Liked the bench-soft by the bay window. Liked the amenities of breakfast in the morning and free wi-fi. Although it was a non-smoking room, the floor and hallway still have a lingering smoker's smell. Not enough to turn you off but it was noticeable...I am very sensitive to smell of cigarettes. Given all that, I would recommend this place...great value!

The hotel was located right off of business 46, convenient to downtown Blacksburg in 5 - 10 minutes. Although the room was small, this was made up by the low rate and clean room.

Easy access to Virginia Tech. No shampoo/conditioner or lotion. Economy hotel in great location for Virginia Tech. Many nearby dining options and easy access to shopping. Continental breakfast was pretty basic but certainly enough to get going in the morning (bagels, mini muffins, juice, coffee). Hair dryer available at front desk; no complimentary toiletries.

First visit to this Microtel location. Check-in was a breeze and price was among the lowest in area. Convenient to VT, dining/shopping within a few minutes drive. Standard room is cozy; efficiently laid out but tight. OK if all you're doing is sleeping. Continental breakfast was mediocre - out of milk, mostly donuts and cereal. Fresh fruit was nice. Hallway had a sort of B.O. smell to it and there was also some mold on ceiling tiles nearby (plumbing leak) that may have contributed to smell. Overall, you get what you pay for and wife and I were just looking for a place to crash for the night. I've stayed at other Microtel locations and had similar experiences. We'd stay here again.

TV is small, furniture poor, shower bad. We went down for the weekend, and were worried that this hotel would be very minimal and low quality. We were surprised to see more sleeping area than expected (even had a window seat). The furniture was lower quality, armoire was built in and in the way, and TV was tiny. Luckily we only need a place to sleep. The water pressure for the shower was really bad, but you could still get clean. Clean place and friendly staff. Bypass is nearby, so bring ear plugs.
