Date of Stay:
June, 2009
I had reserved one room with two queen beds. Upon arrival I was given two rooms each with one queen size bed. All my other requests were honored. The front desk employee appologized and said there were no more rooms with two queens available. It was not a big deal for us because we were traveling with 3 adults and a teen, but I can see how it would have caused problems for a family traveling with 2 children. We were only charged for one room. Beds were very comfortable with nice upgraded linens. Breakfast was good. Bathroom had some gunk on the walls, but overall clean.

Clean room and friendly staff. Spa was lukewarm. Shower head leaked.

Although I expected the room to be a bit smaller, it was a very small room. It seemed a bit cramped to me, with only room to walk around the bed. (I booked a room with one queen-sized bed.) The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. The room was also very quiet. The front desk staff were the only ones I was in contact with but were very pleasant. I didn't receive any information from them in regardsto any continental breakfast available or any of the amenities of the facility. The property was clean and well kept inside and out. I will be traveling to the Appleton area again and will be booking at this property.

The best part about the Microtel in Appleton was the comfortable beds and pillows. Nothing is worse when you stay in a hotel & the bedding is WAY over worn. This place was great, very clean and extremely friendly and comfortable. Best place to stay in Appleton for the price! I'd stay again.

Good breakfast room. Nice staff. So efficient had to ask for soap second day. Towels first day. All in all, happy stayed there.

I liked the fact that it was close to where we wanted to be. The walls were thin, you could hear children screaming, no coffee cups in room. Overall the hotel was in a great location. When we arrived at check in we received a room and after lugging our stuff to the room and opening the door, it quickly became clear that no one had cleaned it after the last person checked out. The bed was unmade and there was garbage laying all over the room. After going to the lobby and explaining our dilemma to the front desk clerk, she apologized to us and upgraded us to the deluxe suite.

We have stayed at this location many times since they opened, but we were very disappointed in what we experienced upon this visit. The young man at the desk was extremely pleasant and accomodating, as always. The bedding in our room was worn and had holes in it. The walls were paper thin and it was difficult to get a good night's rest. In the morning as we were leaving, we found the desk girl outside by the front door smoking - very unappealing and unprofessional. Too bad that they are allowing this motel to deteriorate this way!

We enjoyed the location of hotel, it was in walking distance of a very nice mall. We liked everything, except the breakfast was kind of small. They did not have much to choose from.

Close to mall. Everything. The hotel was old smelled like smoke and staff was dressed in street clothes. It was somewhere to sleep but would never stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone.

The room was small, like a cabin on a ship. The room was clean and the bathroom was adequate.---We checked in at 5 pm --only one person on staff no towels in our room, she was still doing the laundry.

Efficient use of space. Thin walls and mediocre breakfast.

My sister-in-law and I plan a shopping trip in the Appleton area during the Holiday season each year. We have stayed at many of the hotels in the area and this one was very nice. Our only complaint is that there was no hairdryer in the room. Lucky I brought mine from home. The continental breakfast could also be expanded a little. The staff however was very friendly. And the location was excellent to shopping, reataurants. etc.

They let me check in early. Let us use breakfast room to play cards in afternoon. Nothing. Clean, friendly motel near shopping.

The bed was very comfortable and the linens were wonderful. The water in the hot tub and in the main area looked very dirty.

It was in a great location near main highway, many restaurants, huge mall very close. No pool! No fridge or microwave in room or coffee for tired travelers.

Dirty and unaccommodating. The room that I stayed in had trash under the sink, what appeared to be coffee stains on the wall, the bath tub had hair around the drain, the bathroom baseboards were dirty and the tissue dispenser was empty. The staff did nothing but hand us a new tissue box that we had to replace ourselves.

The front desk person gave me some desperately needed thread and a needle. I thought the heater wasn't that great. Of course, it was below zero outside. Great stay. Clean and quiet. Perfect for a night on the road.

Inexpensive, and location was perfect. Coffee was very good at the breakfast, but the breakfast offerings could use some fresh fruit. Breakfast needs fresh fruit, and perhaps simply hard boiled eggs. It was clean and quiet, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Convenient location. Filthy room upon arrival - had to switch rooms. We arrived and checked in. Our room was not cleaned. Hair on floor, in sink. No facial tissue in container and used bar of soap in the shower. One bed was not made. Made us wonder if the room was cleaned at all. Very unhappy.

Excellent room, fine breakfast, ok workout/hot tub especially for the money. The people next door were loud until 3:00 a.m. and management knocked once but that was it.
