It was clean & the staff was helpful. The A/C in our room was too cold, it was tough getting a comfortable temp in the room. If I have to stay in a hotel again in Shallotte, it will more than likely be the Microtel. It was very convenient, the price was right for the season, it was clean & the staff very helpful.

front desk was very friendly. but give me a number of excuses for when my room wasn't ready@ check-in time 2 ;00. then after i had got checked-in told me that the pool wasn't opened! so,needless to say we stayed in our rooms memorial weekend and watched t.v.after going out on our day at the beach. so so sad.

It is easy to check in and you don't have to go far to get to your room. Breakfast selections did not include decaf coffee. The TV is not as large as what I am used to seeing and it is located in the corner of the room . Microtel is a nice, clean hotel. I went when it first opened a couple of years ago. They have kept the hotel looking like new. There were new rugs, mattresses, etc. The cleanliness of the room and its bathroom are amazing.

The room was clean. The bed covers had holes in them. The head board was a mirror. The hotel met our immediate needs and provided basic necessities. The location was ideal for our agenda. The breakfast offerings were limited and would not be attractive to small children.

The staff was very friendly, as were the other guests. When turning in off the highway, it's hard to see the road you need to turn on. Needs to have a sign there. Very pleased with the hotel. It met my expectations, and I was very pleased with the staff. It was also quiet, and our room was very comfortable.

There were no redeeming features. No luggage caddy, rooms were miniscule. Hotel is located away from everything. Place was clean but that is all. Rooms are exceptionally small. No automatic front door and no luggage caddy. Hotel employees would watch you struggle with your luggage and the door while they stood 5 feet away and did nothing. TV channels were very limited and could be changed in reverse only (on remote). I will never stay in another Microtel.

It was right off of the highway and close to the hospital. The room was dirty, smelled. There were holes in the bed spread and the room smelled badly. There was not an ice container in the room and I had to go down stairs to get one. Guess what, the clerk could not locate one.

Very nice maybe a little pricey. NA. It was very roomy a little high priced, but worth the money.

Staff, location, & the outdoor amenities. Decor a bit dated but not bad for a beach property. Over all the staff was great the food was good & the amenities allowed the family to have a really nice time on such a short stay; we will be back soon!

The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good too! It was a little farther off the beach than I was told. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon. We got a great room, wonderful view and we had a great time. The staff was great, answered all of our questions and the continental breakfast was actually good! I'd stay here again.

Great value. Housekeeping missed a few items each day. As an economy hotel it was just as I expected. We had a standard room which was small. We took a look at a suite room.

Changing of room due to room size. The professionalism of motel manager on rate dispute. Residual smoke in nonsmoking room. We greatly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of hotel manager. My wife is from this area and this experience will be positively remembered.

Not much. Someone, perhaps a worker off duty, was hauled in by friends only to vomit in the stairway. This hotel was not up to date. The beds were uncomfortable, and the staff and their off duty friends acted like a big inbred family.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Hard beds. We enjoyed our stay. When we arrived, the price I was quoted was not in their system. I was given a lower rate to accommodate my quote. My baby got sick and the staff not only super cleaned our room twice, but even asked how he was feeling the next day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Rooms and staff. Prices. Very comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.

The price, the window seat, wireless Internet connection. No phone in the room. The rooms were very cozy. Our needs were quickly met. The staff was very friendly.
