Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Air conditioner had a musty smell.

It's getting harder and harder to find a really nice place to stay for under $ per night, but this hotel is a shining example of just such a place! It is in excellent repair and spotlessly clean. Every single staff member we encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping, was courteous, helpful and cheerful. The rooms were large and comfortable. The continental breakfast featured fresh fruit and cereals in addition to the usual rolls and coffee. It is easily accessable from Interstate 10, and close to many restaurants. Also, if you're lucky, you might get an end room on the 4th floor with a view of Mobile Bay! All in all, a most excellent place to stay.

This is a hotel that is very close to home, you get free local and nation wide long distance call, simple starter breakfast, wifi, very clean, and freindly staff, will go back there again. With no questions asked.

Clean & right off the hwy. Very clean, nice for a night stay. Not the Ritz. Breakfast is just bagels, waffles, toast etc. Just something to get you by until lunch.

Staff extra nice. Room very nice and clean. Great location and price. They need more cover on the bed for my taste . Everything else was fine.Love Fairhope .

This Microtel seems to be fairly new and was very clean (my top priority. All the staff was very friendly and it was great that our room was ready and we were able to check in earlier than anticipated. It was a small room, but about what we expected for what we paid, and we did not need a lot of space for just one night. We are likely to return to the same place when we need another quick, last minute get away.

I loved the convenience to the whole area, the condition of the hotel and its warm and generous staff. Although the weather conditions were unusually stormy and the air was humid (hence the rugs could not dry out) I can not say anything negative. The room was pleasantly appointed and my view of Mobile Bay was wonderful. The staff was friendly, warm and helpful.

"I was very satisfied. The room initially seemed small but it was very comfortable & clean & all I needed. They have bigger suites for larger groups, but travelling alone it suited me. The upgraded linens & comforter is excellent.I appreciated a cover over the mattress for cleanliness. The TV up near the ceiling was much easier to watch. The window seat was a neat idea & the mirrors & lighting made for good overall effect. The bathroom was nice size & clean. No bad smells like other lower priced hotels.Very relaxing. I would definitely stay at any Microtel."

The rooms were quite small, but very nice. the bed was so comfortable and everything was very clean. The location was good - right off the highway. Breakfast was just O.K.

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are small. We stayed at this hotel one night before traveling to our vacation destination in Florida. This hotel is great for a one or two night visit. Very clean. I would not stay for a long period due to lack of amenities. For a quick trip it is perfect.

The hotel was easy to locate (near Interstate 10) and was well kept. My check-in went smoothly. I did have an initial concern about a notice posted that informed patrons all rooms are 'checked' each day for safety and security reasons. I wondered if this was a reflection of the quality of the hotel's guests, but my concerns were unfounded. The room I had was on the first floor and was clean and orderly. Although my air conditioning unit quit working on the second day, the staff was quick to come to the room and make repairs (twice in an hour). The continental breakfast was okay and the coffee was good. Make no mistake, this is not a 'fancy' hotel, but it is a good value for the price. If you are looking for a decent place to stay with no frills, this is a fine choice.

The Microtel Inn & Suites was a very nice hotel, the front desk clerk was so very nice and helpful,he explained everything well. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. I liked the seated area below the window where you can seat and look out. I also liked the location of the hotel, being that the resturants and the shopping area was close.

The staff was helpful. Cigarette smell in the halls. The facility exactly met my needs for business travel. I did not need all the extras.
Date of Stay:

Room was relatively clean but not as nice as some other chains. The bed and bedding could be more comfortable. Getting up to my room with luggage was difficult because of limited parking and the hill in the parking lot.
Date of Stay:
April, 2007
Only 2 people were staying in the room. We did not feel relaxed in the room and both of us could not move at the same time. The view from the room was a bricks/rock wall. There was no pool, Jacuzzi or etc. The room was too crowded with two queen size beds. It provided no room to dress, etc. The two queen size beds were very uncomfortable to be orthopedic beds and with the mattress covered with plastic. A mattress can be protected with a different type of covering. It did not have good lighting. You could not use the mirror in the bedroom to put on make-up. The light was not adjustable for one person to read, etc and the other person to sleep. You could hear every footstep from the room above and in the hallway. The only thing I can say I like is the security of the hotel for entering and existing was good. The staffs were courteous.

The staff was very friendly and polite. Everything was very clean. Some of the cleaning agents were very perfumey. We prefer just clean smells. The staff went out of their way to be polite and friendly.

"We found our non-smoking room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and appreciated the all new facility. The staff was helpful, breakfast was as described. I liked the fact that the entire second floor is smoke free. It was a good value for the money and I would stay here again. "

The courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The bumpy entrance uphill to the hotel. I was only at the hotel for one night so it is hard to make further comments. However, I was very pleased with the continental breakfast which was included in the rate.

i was in a suite the weekend that i got married and i loved the room setup and the staff. the only complain that any of or friends and family had. was that the single bed rooms were smaller than average but everything else was great
