While on vacation in Lanham MD, with my two year old and husband; issues came up and at that last minute I had to find a hotel for two days close to the BWI Airport with a shuttle! Didn'T plan on this so funds were beyond very limited. My sister back home in Orlando FL, looked up cheaptickets.com and found the "Microtel Inn & Suites - BWI" $140.00 for two nights. She paid with a debit card and gave me the confirmation number etc. We arrived in a cab. Now when you here a price like that close to the city and airport, your thinking ghetto! To our surprise it was awesome! It was quiet and staff was polite. I just showed ID and my bank card and received our room keys. The bed was comfortable and pillows fluffy. Big TV (HBO 1 & 2)and closet space. They offer free cribs but the bed was big enough for my daughter with us. A nice size mini fridge with microwave, which was clean! Cant stand dirty appliances. Six cabinets and sink, a comfortable couch, desk and chairs. Free local and long distance calls. And the coziest, a couch that was attached to the window, like a window bed. I relaxed there with my daughter reading. The offered a nice fitness center. The breakfast was great! We go downstairs to the dinning area around 8:30am and make your own waffles with sausage and eggs, apple and orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, three different cereals, oat meals, bagels, muffins, yogurt, breads, english muffins with all the condiments and fixings. So we ate and took food back up for later. The cherry on top was that are flight was scheduled late in the evening and my daughter would be miserable in her stroller at the airport for hours. So they let us stay longer at no charge. We enjoyed it very much. All it needed was a pool :)

Bedding is great. TVnot up to par.

This is not a fancy hotel, just a good night's rest near the airport. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the shuttle took us anywhere we wanted to go! Good Deal.

We have stayed in quite a few Microtels but this was a bad experience. First of all our room had no hot water on July 22. Therefore we were unable to use the shower!! Also the TV remote didn't work. We took it to front desk, thinking it needed a new battery. It still did not work. Front desk person said they would send someone to fix iit Needless to say we never saw anyone and it was very annoying when we wanted to change channel and turn TV on and off !

The hotel was in a great location to the airport. The shuttle van took us where we requested to go. The staff was very helpful with answering questions about sites to see. Our room was a bit small and noises could be heard from the flushing of upstairs toilet.

They need equality. They must offer various room type, customer and good breakfast.

Good location - clean and comfortable - GREAT price - helpful staff. We drove in and spent one night. The hotel was crowded for the holiday, but had good breakfast, with attentive staff keeping items stocked. Could have left our car here at reduced rate vs. the remote parking garage. Really enjoyed the whole experience. We travel a great deal and found this hotel to be an excellent value.

We reserved our room in February for May 31, 2008. We RECONFIRMED late arrival with the hotel the afternoon of May 31 and were told they had confirmed our stay with late arrival. My 16 year-old daughter and I arrived at 12:30 a.m. June 1 prior to an early morning flight at BWI June 1. We were told at the desk that they hotel "had oversold the hotel by five rooms" and that we would have to go 15 MILES AWAY FROM BWI to find a room!!!!!!!!!!! And we've never been to Baltimore and were not sure where they were sending us and they actually turned us away AFTER WE RECONFIRMED! DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! After seeing the big sign that says in caps, "MANAGER ON DUTY" I asked to speak to the manager. I was told there was no manager on duty but given his card to call him the next day!! I said, "Do you think someone should be fired for doing this to the guests?" The girl said, "WELL, IT AIN'T GONNA BE ME!" This was absolutely unacceptable and if you stay here - you STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK - IF YOU GET A ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AT ALL.

I stayed here with the stay & jet option for a solo vacation to Orlando, FL. Had a great experience, room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was VERY friendly and personable (even when i asked for a shuttle to the airport at 3am) would (and probably will) stay here as Stay & Jet many more times!

The hotel is clean, but rooms are very small and beds are not very comfortable. Continental breakfast left much to be desired. Hotel would not give me a receipt for staying -- had to contact on-line agency.

I was looking for a place to stay close to BWI so I could leave early the next morning. It worked great! Returned my car, got my boarding pass and still had time for breakfast.

Close to airport. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Fine for quick overnight travel stays. Bed was comfortable, but not the cleanest.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
I ended up staying here because they had a 30% summer sale which brought the room rate down to a cost that I was looking at. I'm not sure that I'd personally stay here at their normal rates, though they do seem comparable to other hotels in the area. The room was nice, and I had good wireless internet access. The people at the front desk were nice and had free parking. The entire BWI Airport districts have both shuttles to the airport and is a short drive from any of 3 light rail stations which have parking lots. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

Where to begin? Hotel didn't have my registration, Orbitz couldn't help me out regarding this hotel because all the rooms were booked, nor could they find me another hotel in the area without wanting more than double per room-that's right they wanted to charge more the new rate when they were the ones who left me without a room...

Location. Old facility. Dirty. Shuttle service is very slow. Cheap. Dirty. Very slow shuttle service. I would only use this hotel again as a last resort. The shuttle driver is this young Indian kid and he couldn't care less. Noisy uncomfortable lobby that doubles as the breakfast area. A/C not very effective in the lobby. Front desk staff is pretty good.

Highly recommended. Rooms were clean, day staff very helpful(night staff a little uneven). The best of budget hotels I've stayed.
Date of Stay:

The room I had was big with a couch and a counter that separated the bed from the "living room type" area. The staff was very friendly and efficient. There are not a lot of restaurants/shops close by but there are fast food places within a short drive. The Inn is very close to BWI airport which is great if you have an early flight. Not necessarily a "family place".
Date of Stay:
May, 2009
The firmness of the bed and the little bay window seat. Computer printer did not work. This met our needs and expectations for a quick night's stay before catching a flight home.
