The hotel staff was very courteous. I bring personal items wherever we travel but forgot about the lotion that time. I asked for some lotion and she said they don't have it but offered a big bottle of lotion that the staff use at the front desk. The dining is small, only two tables and enough chairs, and they have the same bagels, muffins , cereals to choose from. The carpet inside our room is old and needs to be changed. There was no ironing board and iron in our room and had to ask the staff. The Microtel that's near the airport had no vacancy at the time of our trip, and it's probably newer than this hotel which is 30-45 minutes away from the airport. Overall, the experience was good but not great.

No Fox News, we missed a lot of the conventions & Sarah Palin news!

We stayed in the hotel 2 nights for a sporting event. When we checked in and went to our room the fold out couch bed did not have sheets, when we asked for sheets we were told they did not have any. We had to go to the laundry room to get blankets for sheets, as we were making the bed the springs were jagged and sticking out of the mattress, dangerous. The couch bed was rickety and very uncomfortable. During the night I was able to hear the conversation the person in the next room was having due to the thin walls. I ended up sleeping on the floor because it was more comfortable than the fold out bed. In the morning, when we went to take showers there was no HOT water. Several other members of the team in other rooms had the same experience. The second night we were moved to a different room and had the same problems. The second room had sheets on the double bed that had hair on them. Slept on top of the sheets. Really bad bed, no sheets and no hot water for morning showers. Not sure how you can run a hotel with no bed sheets and no hot water. Because I was travleling with teenagers, I was not looking for a luxury retreat, just the basics. This hotel made it hard to sleep.

I have recently stayed at the Microtel in Eagle River, AK. The hotel itself is nice. The employees seemed a bit distracted, but were pleasant enough. The beds were nice, but the pillows they have are amazing. I slept pretty well. The only thing that would have really improved the hotel would be a pool or weight room. Something other than just a bed to sleep in, though for their prices that was fine. Prices are nice. Smoking and non-Smoking rooms are a plus too. Few places give the option these days.

Attractive. Temperature in lobby & rooms too warm.

The price, breakfast was included. Rooms are smallish. Perfect location right off the highway, great place to stay if you don't plan to spend alot of time in your hotel room. Great place to stay if your there just for business.

Good prices for rooms during peak season. No good breakfast, shortage of blankets, pillows, etc. I would choose this hotel again, if I could not get reservations on the military base. It was far enough out of Anchorage to not have the outrageous prices for a room, but close enough to not be too inconvenient. The breakfast they had wasn't very good and definitely not kid friendly. The rooms could have stood to be a little bigger and amenities like a small fridge and microwave would have been very helpful.

Microtel's continental breakfast was very nice. Hallways not very attractive. The first night we checked into this hotel, the lady who entered our credit card number put in the wrong expiration date; so it was denied. I called the credit card company and they told me what she did wrong. Her two kids were walking around in the lobby & talking to her while she was entering our credit card information, so that's probably why she made the mistake. It was embarrassing to be told that our credit card had been denied, when, in fact, it was good.

Convenient. Room, pillows and bed were all small. Room had bad ordor. Since I was traveling by myself it was ok I would not have been happy if I had been traveling with my wife.
