The staff was horrible! We reached at 2pm at the hotel and was told we had to wait an hour for check in time. This would have been completely fine if we didn't have to watch a bunch of other families check in before the official check in time!!! Finally when we got to check in, we had been promised a great view of the falls on the third floor but our third floor room number was scribbled over and we were given a second floor room instead. This meant that the great view we paid for didn't exist. Yes we could see the falls but only if we squashed ourselves into the very edges of the window. And the rooms! They look nothing like the pictures on the site. Totally false advertising! We went to another hotel the next day and will never go back to this inn!

Great location to the falls. The location of this hotel is great. It really is a short wall to the falls, yet far enough away to not have all the noise of Cliffton hill. Also very very close to the casino. Had a great kid pool and the parking was free, they even let us leave our van the day we checked out till 4 pm. We will definetly stay here every trip to Niagra.

Great price for the location, given "normal" Niagara Falls rates. Not a great view - American falls are obscured by the Rainbow bridge, but do you want to pay $$$/night for a view? If not, this is a nice place to stay. They've done a good job upgrading an old motel that has a good location, relative to the falls.

When it comes to looking for a place to stay overnight, all I want is a cheap, clean room in a smaller, more intimate place (not interested in the high-rise hotel with tons of people). Michael's Inn exceeded my expectations. Sure, we didn't have a falls-view room), but otherwise the location on River Road is perfect: close to everything (Bridal Veil Falls, Clifton Hill, Maid of the Mist and literally right next door to Bird Kingdom), but not quite in the hubbub of all the tourist activity. The inn offers FREE PARKING, which was welcomed considering the prices for parking elsewhere in Niagara Falls ranged from $10 to $18. We parked there and walked or bike to everything.

You can't beat the price. It was very clean and friendly staff. Only down side was that you could only book 2 nights. Would recommend to others.

Not Great but considering the location and general cleanliness, it is a good value. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

Our room wasn't ready until 3:30, but other than that it is a pleasant place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We could see the American Falls from our balcony which overlooked the river. The hotel is the first right turn after customs (right over the border on Rainbow Bridge), so it's easy to find. Most of the major attractions, including the falls are within a two mile walk directly down the street the hotel is on. If you don't mind the walk, you can leave your car at the hotel and save a lot on parking fees. The kids loved the pool and jacuzzi (open til 11pm) and the fitness room is small but useful. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Niagara Falls.

Amazing access to the Falls. I loved jogging along the path in front of the hotel that led right to the falls. The room was very unattractive. The beds were OK. A goodfor the money. Clean, friendly, very close to the Falls & tourist areas. But away from the carnival atmosphere of Clifton Hill.

Although Michael's Inn is starting to show its age - we found that for the cost factor we received great service and the location was convenient with free parking as a bonus.

"For a weekend getaway, it's great! Attractive & clean.public pool room, jacuzzi & sauna were terrific! Free parking! Excellent breakfast. Staff helpful, price very reasonable! poor tv reception, but I wasnt there to watch tv! Gorge across the street. A monthly getaway for me to refresh and renew at a great price! I am telling everyone! Rooms a bit dated, but it's ok. Decor is pretty. You need to go outdoors for a minute to get to the pool, but that's really the only downside. Try it!!"

The hotel had FREE PARKING which was a big attraction to us. The room was nice. simple but clean. And the hotel is located about a fave min walk to the falls and the maid of the mist. The people mover even has a stop about a block away! Was very happy overall

Great location for Clifton Hill attractions. Spotty service from front desk. Don't bother with the arcade in the hotel. Of the four games that are in there, 1 works (Soul Caliber). Getting things from room service/front desk was an adventure at best. I called to have wine glasses brought up and was told there weren't any extra for us to have. My brother called an hour later and they were brought right up.

For an Older facility it was good. Location good, good staff, Pool looked okay but we didn't use it . Parking free but a little inconvenient due to having to get code from registration before entering. Only a few parking spots near entrance. The Biggest problem was the really OLD heating/AC system. We needed the heat on 1st night and every time it cut in it woke us. Staff said nothing could be done because it was "old"! Second night we left it off and used extra blanket and had a great nights sleep. Overal value good. We would recommend it for short visits.

Stayed one night 5/15/09 but have stayed there many times before. It is one of the best locations for the best price. Nice indoor pool, free parking, rooms are outdated but very clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was a little overpriced but good variety and delicious. Quick and easy walk to falls, Clifton Hills area and Casino Niagara.

The staff went above and beyond. Found a finger nail on tip of the bed spread. Excellent service excellent food, I would stay here again. Close enough to Niagara falls to walk. Let me stay after checkout while hubby and friends went to the falls. Even opened the kitchen for me and made me breakfast so that I wouldn't have to go all day without. Let me stay in the bar (closed) and use my lap top while I was waiting. Wonderful staff. The room was clean except for the finger nail on the bed spread. The sheets were fresh etc.

the room needs to be updated, especially the bathroom, but we had a great stay. the buffet breakfast was great (better than TGI Fridays). we found the staff went way beyond the 'call of duty'. my niece & i had a cup of hot chocolate thrown at us & upon our return to the hotel we asked x if there was a laundrymat nearby. he told us he'd take our clothing home with him & wash it for us! imagine our delight!! we had our clothing clean & dry the next day. x is the BEST!!!! we will definately stay again & again! thanks x.

we were very disappointed they gave us a dirty room #16 then the gentleman at the desk who was very nice sent us to room #18 which was not much cleaner I scrubbed the bathroom floor myself. The lady at the front desk was not nice the next two days I was very disappointed when we checked out she didn't even ask us how are stay was. We came there on a recommendation from a coworker who was appaulled when i came back to work to tell her. The fromt desk staff (manager lady-heavyset) she was more intrested in walking her dog then helping us!!!!!!!!!! the only bright spot was the waiter -Mile he was wonderful. We are coming back in May with our children and the rest of our family but we will not be staying at Michaels.
