Nice apartments, but don't go in Summer!On arrival at Micasa we were very impressed by the reception area - not what we were expecting when staying at apartments. Check in was quick, pleasant and very efficient. The apartments themselves are furnished comfortably enough, however there were enough negatives to stop us from returning, which is a real shame as these apartments are as central as you will ever get in Aberdeen.The negative points have been mentioned before, so hopefully they can be dealt with:1) There were no power points near mirrors, so hairdrying was a 'blind' activity (potentially not good!!!);2) The spiral stairs are a bit wobbly and creaky - not recommended for small children etc;3) The apartment was really stuffy due to lack of ventilation. The window in the living area couldn't be opened to let fresh air in. There is a fan provided, however this just shifts the same hot air around the apartment - gets even worse if you cook in the open kitchen;4) Only four items of cutlery / crockery are provided in a 2 bedroom apartment, meaning you have to wash items constantly during your stay (even a couple of spares would help).Service from staff and attitude of staff was excellent throughout our stay.

My Micasa ExperienceA lovely spacious apartment, furnished to a high standard, modern in design. Small issues:The spiral staircase looked impressive, but a bit wobbly when using it. Ventilation was a bit of an issue due to the hot weather making the rooms stuffy. Plug points were not located near a mirror which made hair drying a problem also.

We had our fingers crossed that the hotel lived up to the website and were delighted to find it exceeded all expectations. We are looking for another excuse to go back and stay soon. My only critism was that we were unable to draw the blinds in the ceiling and the light came streaming in to wake us at an ungodly 5:50am!! It will not put me off using Micasa again or reccomending them to friends and collegues alike

AccomodationEverything about the apartments were excellent could not complain about anything they are minutes from the train and bus station and in the very centre of town next to all the shops and entertainment. The staff on the desk were extremely pleasant and helpful rooms spotless and comfortable ours was a 2 bedroom apt. only thing to perhaps watch for and that is that tour bedrooms were up spiral stairs so if you were a bit infirm it might be a problem or if there were very small children. would definately recommend apts. as we already have and are for all types of travelers young people, couples, families

The Perfect RestWe were up playing a gig in the nearby bar, Drummonds, and booked the Micasa through Laterooms. It was a little hard to find the entrance (just a small inconspicuous looking door) but once we got inside we found the hotel to be very clean, and very spacious. The staff we're also very friendly too. The beds were very soft and prompted a great nights sleep. Thankyou from all of us!!

Would recommendExcellent accomodation and more comfortable than a hotel. Would be especially good for those spending more than one evening and wanting a bit more room than a standard hotel would provide.
