The Metropolitan Palace was a nice one night getaway. The rooftop pool was great, and so was the food. The prices were too high, and given the empty status of the hotel due to the financial crisis, you'd think they'd bring prices down to attract more business. Be careful if you book on-line. The front desk was about to charge me for the room until I pointed out that I already paid online.

I highly recommend this hotel. It more than met my expectations in every way. Lovely room...immaculately clean....marble bath....fine linens....gracious service....location is excellent...would return here in a heartbeat

The only complaint I have is when I booked facial in the ladies club, the beautician didn't show up. I waited for exactly half an hour, and then left quite dissapointed. Later on I've got a phone call in my room advising me that beautician acctualy came in just now and I could come back for the treatment. By that time, i couldn't bother going back. Otherwise, hotel is more then beatiful, food is fresh and delicious, and staff is more then helpful. Very good indeed, and I will stay there in the future.

Close to airport but more in financial district than tourist area. Drinks and food were VERY expensive at the hotel. Concierge desk staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
