the metropolitan was very comfortable. The location was great and the personnel was very attentive. I would have liked a table and chairs in the room, and since it was equipped with a stove top it would have been nice to have had pots, pans and maybe a dish or two. I found there was dust on the headboard and the vent in the bathroom.

You get what you pay for. I thought the hotel rooms were satisfactory even though the phone lines were down the whole weekend. The continental breakfast just happened to have ants in the syrup and butter, but when we told the person in charge of it she did nothing about it. The check-In staff was very nice and helpful. The location was across the street from the Beach which was our main reason for going.

metropolitan hotel is going through a renovation at the present time.the staff is very accomadating and works to resolve any issues that may arise.its just acroos the street from beach and i feel it offers a good value for the location.im looking forward to see how the update goes and hope they dont raise there prices afterwards.

Unless you like to stay in a room with whole bunch of cockroaches and other "pets" I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Apparantly they think that pest control is a unnecessary luxury.

I was pleasantly surprise. Though it's not directly on the beach, (it's actually across the street) it was a very roomy and spacious hotel. However, if you are looking for an upscale pricey hotel, then this is not the place for you.

First room we were in had bugs on both bed and trash behind a chair. Swcind room had no bugs. This hotel went through renovation..I would hate to see what it looked like before. Very outdated still! THe rooms were large and there was a small continental breakfast. The pool is VERY small. Very convenient to beach. If you dont plan to be in your room much this hotel would be o.k. Would not want to be stuck there on a rainy day.

Rooms were big and comfortable, Very friendly staff, The location was perfect for the beach experience. The only negative was the dead bugs on the floor in the room when we checked in. (at least they were dead)

The Metropolitan Hotel was in a great location. It was in walking distance to the beach and shopping. The beach was right across the street! The hotel was OK. Overall I would give it a 95%. I would probably stay there again, but I would surf my options first.

Older hotel, satisfactory room. No Frills. Get what you pay for. Easy walk to the beach.... I did miss the fresh coffee at the desk 24/7 this time though.

We found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that the resturant was not always open when we wanted it. Great location (right across the street from the beach!)and the price was very affordable.

The location was good. walk across street to beach. Up a few blocks to Cologny shopping plaza. The bed was comfortable. Room large. Everything worked and water hot. Room had a sofa and small refrigerator, very useful. Morning continental breakfast good, clean area. Staff friendly and helpful.

The Metropolitan Hotel Hilton Head made for a very pleasing stay. It was located across the street from the beach; and not far from the main road. The room was spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable. My only grievance was the ability to gain internet access. Wifi was not existent in this location.

Older hotel which, if properly maintained and remodeled/updated would be a wonderful place to stay in as nice a resort area such as Hylton Head Island. The popcorn finish was flaking off the ceiling in our bathroom, carpet in the halls were faded and unravelling. The pool needed skimming and vacuuming ( wasn't done the 3 days we were there).

I will never stay in the hotel again. Unfriendly staff, dirty common areas, no continental breakfast, loud air conditioner. Only really good thing is that the hot water was really hot.

Reasaonably priced and across the street from the beach. Mixup on the room at checkin and unable to modify. Good location; but loud due to a frat/sorority prom group. Would still suggest for cost/reward.

The kitchentte did not have and utensils, nor pans, nor did the burners work, the fitness center was non existing, also there was no resturants like you stated, the pool was not cleaned. Also I did stay 6 days extra and hotel manager worked with me after I showed her how bad you ripped me off. also there was no continetal breakfast. The only thing that kept me there the extra days was the manager and my bed was comfy and the staff was nice.

The Metropolitan Hotel was not very well maintained. The walls of the elevators haven't been cleaned in quite a while. The bagels on the breakfast bar were like rocks. The whole set-up of the complimentary break- fast was very poorly laid out. It was not up to our expectations.

The Metropolitan Plaza at Hilton Head was a very nice hotel for the price. The pool was awesome. The beach was very nice and not too far of a walk. The only thing it was missing was a restaurant on the main floor. They had one but only used it for the continental breakfast and opened it for a bar at night.
