Good hotel, well located. Nice, clean rooms, and close to the main train station, with a bus to the airport across the road. Would stay in this again if back in Warsaw.

clean but pokyThe hotel reception was impressive and the staff welcoming but the rooms are very poky, very hot and very noisy ! There is no air conditioning and the hotel was unable to supply a fan. It was around 25c in Warsaw by day and late teens at night. If you had window open you couldn't sleep due to the noise as right near the main street. Good breakfast served but on one of the mornings had to wait as a group who had an excursion were all there at the same time.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. They all spoke English. We enjoyed a very fine breakfast buffet that was included in the price of the room.

The locations is this hotel's best asset. There's no luxury, and the furniture and overall interior is a bit outdated, but it's clean, and comfortable, and that's all you need for a short stay. Breakfast is delicious and there's a large variety of food. The only thing that bothered us was the fact that you can't really open your windows because it's a bit noisy... lots of outside traffic. I would definetly recommend this hotel. It's cheap, clean, and close to public transportation.

The hotel is an older hotel that has been remodeled. It has some very nice services such as WII and is right on the major transit lines. It reeks of its solialist past - gray and hard surfaces. Furniture everywhere is hard and uncomfortable - guest rooms and restaurant. Not at all comfortable for the longer stay.

The Metropol has a convenient location near the train station and shopping. The jazz club/restaurant was absolutely wonderful, with great food and drinks. The only thing about the hotel was that it was very noisy in the morning due to some construction. While it did only last for a short while, it was not pleasant being woken up at 6 am. Other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel.

Decent sized room in an older hotel in Poland. Exchange rate at the front desk was a much better rate than the airport and slightly better than the nearby markets. While there was netting over the front of the building, it kept the pigeons from lighting on my balcony (and every one elses) and coming in through the open door/window. The breakfast is what I have come to expect in Poland, with four types of juices, two types of coffee, a variety of tea, eggs, sausage, luncheon meats, cheese, fruits and over a dozen types of bread and rolls. Anyone who is hungry in less than six or seven hours has only themselves to blame. Lunch and supper were reasonable, but for those looking for lighter fare there are four deli's, resturants, and the innumerable fast food vendors in the underground pedestrian crosswalks right outside the front door. My room was very quiet considering it was at the intersection of two six lane streets and only the third floor up. The Jazz bar was open in the evenings, and the casino was open for those who wanted to gamble. There was an Internet Cafe less than 100 feet from the front door that charged only 4 zlotys ($1.25)an hour for high speed web and e-mail access. The property is located two long blocks from the main train station, across the street from the Palace of Culture and the subway station. It is only a block away from the central shopping district and less than a mile from the historic old town. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
