The quality is as you would expect from a budget hotel Basic but clean. This hotel is approx 5 miles from the city centre but the metro is nearby as is a large retail shopping park.Take metro from city centre to "kingston park" journey time 20 minutes.Depending on your needs, mine are a room to sleep in after a night in newcastle without costing the earth, this meets my needs perfectly as i'm usually out at events such as concerts etc........If you're looking for a hotel to spend time aroundthe facilities are basic......No Food is available except snacks from vending machineand early check out time is 10am.I will be using this place again in near future

Good hotel, knew it would be a distance from the city but right next to a metro station and sharing a £10 cab fare to get back at 3am wasnt too bad. Tip - Wear your shoes when you go to the SHARED toilets!

The price advertised for this hotel(at the hotel) was lower than I was able to book on LateRooms, which is unusual. It's a Formula 1 hotel. The chain has 4-5 hotels at a similar price.Room was fine, but shower/toiulet oin my floor was out of order.Bed comfortable and free wi fi access,Good, secure parking.

Fair enough its less than 30 quid per night HOWEVER as its almost 4 miles out of newcastle a taxi into the centre is about £13 a time - when you do that 4 times in a day (twice) as we did it was a waste of money. I would never stay here again. and I dont consider myself to be that fussy but it was disgusting. The toilets are portacabins as are the showers (these are permanent and supposedly self cleaning however they were always stinking and littered with hair etc) The carpets in the room were filthy with what looked like dandruff and the walls looked like the had been pee'd on or something as we used a baby wipe and gave it a wipe and it cleaned off but these rooms are defo not cleaned, Also they want a £50 deposit which you might not get back if you are noisy so watch out if your a young group! Also all the vending machines and the pay phone were out of order. Do yourself a favour and pay the £60 to be near the centre as you'll spend that on taxis anyway and wont have to sleep in a smelly bed with holey covers in a filthy room or have to walk along the corridors to the porta-showers and portaloos. We had a sense of humour but I wouldnt like to have complained as they kept your deposit for less than that!! My review sounds harsh now I read it back but I dare you to stay there and leave with any other opinion!

I know that the area was fully booked - I would not have considered this sort of budget hotel otherwise. However I object most strongly to being sold a Smoking Room without the option of "opting out" - My room was, by far, the SMELLIEST room, it has ever been my mis-fortune to have to sleep in. I immediately complained but they were unable to move me.It's a good job you contacted me, because I was going to contact you anyway, to complain about having to sleep in an Ashtray - and ask for a refund - really quite disgusting - SMOKING IN HOTEL ROOMS SHOULD BE BANNED!

It was the closest thing to be locked up in prison for the night. The room felt like a cell. There was no ensuite facilities. It was shabby and dirty. SHOCKING

The walls were filthy, as were the carpets too. Some guests on our floor (3rd) were running up & down the corridors, either shouting or talking loudly, at all times of the night.

Excellent value for money. 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro station with a pub restaurant next door and a more tradional pub near the Metro station. Very convenient for the airport and good for newcastle itself. Staff were very friendly.

I found it frustrating that staff on reception were unable to direct me in to the hotel whn lost and then when I arrived the reception staff were sat drinking cans of beer!!!!The hotel is great if you just need a bed for the night, the toilets and showers are seperate and communal but clean and adequate. I would not stay there again but feel for a one night stay for parties needing a cheap bed for the night it is fine.

Cheap and Cheerful. No frills hotel. Not everyone's cup of tea, but easy to find, basic amenities - perfect for stag/hen/young groups. The Hotel group probably should advertise that it is shared toilet and shower facilities.Oh, and don't pay the deposit on your card - I've still not received mine back yet - two days after staying there!!

The hotel is cheep and cheerful. Very easy to find off the A1. Where else can you accommodate three people for a night at £29.50? Large groups of singles appear to use this place, but I was not disturbed by them during the night. There was also plenty of hot water for showering.

It is what you pay for really! It is very basic, just the bare minimum of what you need, so is ideal for those occasions when you need a somewhere to stay for a short period. About 10 mins walk to the nearest Metro station. Apart from the nearby industrial estates, there is nothing much else around. Although there is a Toby Carvery right next door.
