I did not know what to expect as I left our booking to the last minute. We were very pleased with the choice I had made (Metro Hotel on Pitt)and would recommend anyone who is looking for accommodation in Sydney.

All as advertised. Great location for CBD and transport. Strange shape of room (long and thin) with no view my only complaint... still good for price!

Stay there last year for a weekend, great location, but the room we were given was very small by any standard and it was dark with a tiny window facing the rear of the hotel. Hardly any room to walk on either side of the double size bed and we had to watch the TV sitting on the bed as the room chair was to close to the TV. The room décor was plain and unwelcome. Nice, well located hotel, close to city's main attractions. My room was clean, nicely decorated, well fitted (LCD TV, fridge, complimentary tea and coffee, iron and ironing board, etc.); not of very large size, but OK. Air conditioning was working properly, though a little noisy. Also, the rooms overlooking Pitt street are probably noisier than the ones on the side or back of the building. In brief, my overall rating is between good and very good.

Stayed the first three nights in standard twin room and one night in a superior room. The standard room was small making it a very tight squeeze sharing the space with another person. If money is no option and there is more than one person I would pay the extra few dollars and book a superior room. I stayed an extra night in a superior room and it was much more comfortable both in terms of space and facilities offered. Being close to Chinatown there are a number of good eating places within walking distance.

The room was quite small for a double room and there were only a bedside table and a lamp at one side of the bed. Because of the size of the room we had to stove our luggage in a way that made it almost impossible to make the bed and to use the desk.

Very happy with this hotel. Location was great, nice and close to Town Hall Station and other transports. Excellent hotel.
