The hotel is centrally located close to many tourist attraction and shopping. The rooms are well presented, clean and quiet. It is one block from the Empire State Building and across the street from Macy's. The roof top bar has a magnificiant view of the Empire State Building, the gym is well equiped, the bistro serves a good range of quality food and the bar is staffed by friendly staff.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Metro. My room was tiny, but I was told that when you book on a travel website that you get the smallest rooms. There was quite a bit of road noise (honking, etc.) but I assume that is normal for NYC. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. The continental breakfast was excellent!

Excellent location. Rooftop bar is sensational (if a little pricey), but the hotel allowed BYO drinks after it closes to outsiders at 11pm. Love the decor!

Very small but cozy rooms. Clean and the Bed was comfortable. Airconditioner was a bit loud. Elevators slow, and staff pleasant. Great location for shopping and theatre.

This is a great hotel! I've stayed several times on work trips. Great location...plus free continental breakfast. The Metro Grill is also a good restaurant that is attatched to the hotel. Another feature you don't hear much about is the rooftop patio. It's so nice up there and they are opening up the bar this summer ; ) I plan on taking a trip with friends and this is where we will stay!

Let's face it, it's a lot of money for a tiny, fairly worn room. But I guess that's New York.

This was a great hotel. great location, staff was very friendly, place was immaculate. They give free breakfast. Hotel lobby is very inviting. Their restaurant/bar was nice but drinks were pricey. They have a fabulous roof top terrace, the bar is only open in the summer though. Great view. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

A very nice hotel for the price in an excellent location for (and view of) the Empire State Building. Also close to Madison Square Garden, cinemas and general shopping.

Try getting a room on the lower floors. We stayed the first couple of nights on the twelth floor and there were problems with hot water and the elevator took forever. Otherwise a very nice hotel. Breakfasts are gtreat but there is no variety (and it got boring after a while)

Very good hotel with excellent service and free breakfast, located in the center of Manhattan. The only drawback was a relatively high price (over $230 per night), but it seems to be a standard for downtown Manhattan. Very clean room with sheets and towels changed every day.
