Always clean and comfortable. Staff speak English and are willing to help. Breakfast is adequate. Good location with easy access to places of interest due to metro being a few steps away. Plenty of places to eat and a convenient Monoprix around the corner. I visit Paris regularly and tried to save money by trying a different hotel recently - big mistake - I'll be back to the Meslay next time!

Expensive: $1,000 for 5 nights. Internet worked only one day. No real curiosity or ideas from staff re what was going on, in Paris. Good location 1/2 block from metro. Expensive breakfast for what you get.

This is a small hotel but very good for a short city break. Rooms are not large but are clean and comfortable. bathrooms are a little small. We were impressed with the location which is handy for the metro enabling you to get around all the main sights. Great double glazing - despite being next to Place de la Republique we heard no noise at night. This was our second stay and we will use this hotel again.

Not good value for money. The street is dodgy even if the area is convenient. No air conditioning so we had the windows open all night listening to crys for help in the street below .... We only stayed two nights and moved hotels, back to the latin district to the wonderful D'Odeon hotel

This was my first stay at Hotel Meslay. Rooms were very clean. But with a heatwave and no airconditioning, the nights were a little warm. Noise was an issue (due to open windows). However, the location was very central with plenty of places to eat or shop near the hotel. The Metro was also next door making it convenient to get to other sites of interest. For a similar price, you can get an apartment with an additional sitting space - you just need the time to do it.

The location was very convenient to the Metro and were able to walk to the River, etc. The triple room is basically a double with a fold out bed, but still nice and comfortable and affordable.

This proved to be an excellent choice. Close to the Metro station Republique ( exit Rue du Temple) , and many places to eat. The room was very quiet. The only downside was it was a triple room but the 3rd bed was a camp bed which my 14 old son moaned about. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Paris. One tip, the map is poor but the hotel is very close to Republique Metro, about 20 metres. Therefore, if flying in to Charles de Gaulle, catch the train to Gare Du Nord or Gare D est and just catch the metro to Republique. This will save about 20 Euros. We caught a taxi from Gare Du nord. The metro is so conveniently situated for this hotel. Staff were great and although we arrived at 7 in the morning, they allowed us into our room at no extra charge. Bathroom was very clean and towels, etc were adequate. We never realised that breakfast was additional charge and only on departure realised. Not such a train smash and relatively good value for money. Would recommend just for central position and cleanliness.

Our room was very very clean, and the bathroom was great. The furnishings were good quality. The service was fine, but fairly formal and not responsive. I would stay here again.

Good to be close to the metro and downtown. Unfortunately the traffic creates noisy.

Our stay in this hotel was ruined by: the fact we received double rooms instead of twins; the unfriendliness and unhelpfulness of the staff on the front desk. The street the hotel is on completely lacks character too.

- excellent people, always smiling and helping for any doubts or advisibg on trveling and food. -I was not knowing breakfast is not included in the hotel price till the last day. -There was no remote control for the TV and asked for it thrice but still I did't get it.
