The Merrill Field Inn Anchorage is located across the street from the Merrill Field Airpark, and just minutes from such major shopping centers as the Northway Mall and the 5th Avenue Mall. It is also close to the Sam’s Club.
During the height of the tourist season (May to September), the Merrill Field Inn Anchorage offers free 24-hour airport shuttle to the Ted Stevens International Airport.
All 38 rooms at the Merrill Field Inn Anchorage are air-conditioned. They have free high-speed wireless Internet access, and free local calls. Cable TV comes with Disney, ESPN, CNN and HBO, as well as a VCR and videos. Each room has a microwave, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer.
The Merrill Field Inn Anchorage has a 24-hour front desk. A complimentary Continental breakfast is served each morning. The room has two queen size beds and it was clean. Hotel offers complementary breakfast and internet access in the lobby. It?s not a fancy hotel but it?s great for tourist with limited travel budget.

I hated my stay there. I would sleep in my car and be safer and quieter than that hotel. It was a bad hotel. Don't stay there! Even with earplugs and good insurance, I can not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

i was pleasantly surprised with the excellent service at this property. They went above and beyond for me. Good breakfast and the rooms were clean and neat!

The Merrill Field Inn is not in the best area of Anchorage AK.It was very hard to find from the airport.Out side area was very loud when the(Clubs)closed.Room was musty but clean, I was worried about our car and its contents and did not get a good nights sleep.I learned a lesson about a TWO star motel.Never again will I pick one.

I had an excellent stay at the Merrill Field Inn. Close to many area activities. Comfortable accommodations and great staff. I will return!

The bed was comfortable is about all I can say positive about this place... The carpet turned my feet BLACK inside of 15 minutes of walking on it! The checkin/check out person was very sullen and disinterested in the transaction or me as a person. He did not know the directions to anything anybody asked him ! I reported the carpet issue and that the toilet was not functioning well to this person and he couldn't have cared less. I wonder if it even got to the right people? The neighborhood was awful...with striptease joints within a block or two. Never again ! The shuttle driver was friendly and very helpful zi owuld like to add...

It was a un expected stay... but i called in and made reservations for me and mah boyfriend and we got a room dat same night. We didnt think it was gonna be the best time ever but it did. The staff of course were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were neat and clean best part of all is dat it was cozy and comfortable. When we needed anything the staff would make sure we got it. The hotel all around is quiet and very secured. Alot of great attractions we got to see around there. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there and would stay again and again .... The hotel I believe is under going some renovation... So it would be even better..... I strongly recommend this hotel..

I felt the price was way too expensive for what the room was...it was surrounded by strip clubs. The room was not clean and the maid staff was rude and cleaned as little as possible.

The Merrill Field Inn Anchorage provided a place to sleep. It was fortunate that we were exhausted from the plane or I would have searched for another place to stay. The room smelled like smoke, but we were told it was a non-smoking room when we checked out. I pointed out that there was a burnt match on the bathroom floor, so someone obviously was smoking in there. The smell should have been apparent when the room was cleaned for our usage. The bathroon had dirt in the corners & mold/mildew in the corners of the bathtub on the caulking. The continental breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The location of the motel was very noisy as it is across the road from an air field & planes fly in & out at all hours.Check in was fast & the desk attendant was very helpful with directions to places within Anchorage.

For Alaska this is probably a average motel. The rooms were average size and clean. The motel is right next to a airport so it can be quite noisey at times. It was easy to check in and out. Not much for breakfast.

Maid service was above and beyond -- Nino was very helpful in our stay here, he went out of his way to help me on the computer and to my room.

My boss put me up at this flea bag hotel. I almost quit, would have if he did not move me to another hotel. Worst possible excuse for a hotel. Full of drunks. Porno shop next door. Stinking restaurant next door. Rude staff. Filthy rooms. Could go on but you get the picture

Next to a Porn Shop, full of Half-Way-House people, rude staff and housekeepers, asked for extra towels and was told we had what we were suppose to get. Location is across the street from a small airport with a lot of plane noise, to say nothing about being next to the busies street in Anchorage. We were scheduled to stay w week but one night was enough for us.

We tried staying here a few nights while our house was being painted. this has to be the worst hotel in the state. On the busies street in Anchorage, across the street from a strip club,another strip club down the street. The rooms are outside entrance so the desk clerk does not no or care who is comming or going. When we were there was a fight out in the parking lot, no cops were called no one from the hotel came out to see what was going on. In talking to some of the guest theystated they stay there all the time on some sort of state assistance program, low lifes. If you are staying in Anchorage and cannot find a room sleep in your car before comming to this dump.

"This hotel is located in a seedy neighborhood filled with strip joints, inebriated street people and trash filled backlots. My room was dirty, with a stained carpet, bedding with numerous cigarette burns and holes, and a pervasive musty smell. The surly night manager gave me the wrong directions to my room, so I had to walk up a steep set of rickety stairs twice lugging suitcases. For over $* you should not have to stay in a dive like this!"
