Awesome view.nice room with romantic lights.i recommend to all newly weds couple to stay here. i bet u the room is very suitable for romance. And i'm definitely will come again for my honeymoon. Pelangi Beach resort.. im coming next year!!

Unfortunately this resort did not live up to expectations. The chalets are quite old/rickety and are in need of updating. The first room we were allocated had a cockroach nest in the bathroom roof (we could hear them running round at night!!) not to mention having to deal with them in the room and bathroom. The adults were 3 inches long complete with 1 inch juniors - not pleasant at all and they can really move fast! We saw one cockroach in one of the restaurants on the first night we were there. We were moved to a second room which was cleaner but a bat was hiding in the roof which began flying round at 11pm when we turned the lights out! There was also a dead cockroach hanging from one of the curtains. The third room we were moved to was clean and we had no problems there but we were always weary when entering it following our earlier experience. The gym is very old and needs a complete overhaul - machines from c1970. Dumbells are inadequate with the heaviest weight at 7kg. The mini golf is laughably poor. The food was not bad but was very pricey when compared to the rest of the locations we stayed at in Malaysia and when compared to the local restaurants. However the portions are very generous. The pool and beach were very good, clean and well maintained. The staff on the whole were very polite and friendly and the management were very helpful with our requests to move rooms. I think we were lucky there were other rooms available otherwise it would have been a lot more difficult in the circumstances. Given it is a beach resort you expect a level of insects etc but the chalets and the gym do need modernising which would really improve this place and help with the issues we had.

Great hotel, very friendly & helpful staff, huge buffet breakfasts. The rooms are very clean and all have large balconies. The beach is incredibly close and has lovely white sand and gentle surf (suitable for young children). The only two drawbacks for me were the cheap quality bicycles (though you can hire them very cheaply in town) & a errrr plumbing issue with the toilet.

excellent service, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms very comfortably disposed and clean. Food could have been better, and expensive compared to what you can get in town - but that means a taxi ride (cost about 6 euros each way). We were very happy with our stay in general.

A beautiful and relaxing resort with large, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms. Staff are friendly, conscientious and easygoing, nothing is ever too much trouble. Buffet breakfast was of good quality with most options catered for. Pools are well maintained which is lucky because beach swimming is usually hindered by jellyfish. Restaurant quality is good but menu prices are exhorbitant compared with elsewhere and this is the only negative, especially after a day of sightseeing when you would rather relax at the resort, rather than going out to eat.

This was a great hotel for a comfortable weekend getaway. Food not to the standard you would enjoy for a longer break or if you are a 'foodie'. Fabulous beach, location, staff very friendly. All just depends on what you are looking for. Would return.

I wish the place had more lighting...there is heavy usage of dark wood in the design of the place...that coupled with dim lighting gives it a pretty depressing look overall...otherwise the rooms are decent..nothing very lavish...we stayed in a pool facing deluxe villa..2807..its spacious enough and the li'l balcony overlooking the pool was pretty cute..the landscaping is awesome and the overall tropical look is beautiful to say the least !

Not cheap by Malaysia standards but a high class resort hotel, with plenty of nearby local restaurants that are much cheaper than the hotrel. Excellent if you're looking for a special break and you can afford it

Spacious, clean rooms however, starting to show age in some detail. Beautiful garden and pool landscaping. Very good breakfast selection, very good food in Thai restaurant, you may wish to try outside restaurants as alternatives as well.

Beautiful place, we got the ocean view room and it was during a quiet period. The bbq dinner on the beach dinign was very romantic. Strongly recommended.
