Fabulous apart from fact that mini-Bar needed more milk, coffee and tea facilities.Service was excellent. Food was excellent and restaurant on top floor is open late. Well worth the money.

This hotel is undergoing major renovations so it can be noisy and dusty. However, we stayed at the South Tower, had a great, quiet room, didn't hear any noise at all. Room was also very clean, spacious and bright. Room service was excellent and fast,by the time we returned from the breakfast, the room was done. If we requested anything ( more coffee, tea, sugar,etc) there was no problem. Plenty of shampoo, soap, toilet paper, even tooth brushes, combs and all other little treats. Every day we received complimentary bottle of water. Towels were big, soft and fluffy. Bed was great and soooo comfortable but the pillows were my favorite- king size, not too hard and not too soft, just great! We also got complimentary slippers and the bath robe was so nice and soft. ALL the staff at the hotel was just great and helpful-that was a real service with a smile! My husband even got a birthday cake and a card from the hotel Management, along with personal greeting. What a nice surprise! When we asked for a room change ( we wanted room on higher floor) they were more than happy to help and they even upgraded our room to a better one- what a service! But there is always room for improvement. When we return to Meritus Mandarin ( and we certainly will) we would like to see milk in the bar fridge. And wine glasses would be nice. In regards of breakfast - more choices of sliced meat ( ham, salami, etc.) and some rice would be nice (steamed & fried). And maybe more variety of fresh fruit.Most of the time coffee wasn't hot enough (only warm) and when we added milk it was nearly cold. Apart from that, we were happy and satisfied. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to feel at home, be spoiled and wants a great service with a smile! If you want all this and more than Meritus Mandarin is hotel for you.

Our stay was very pleasant. The room is big and cosy at the South Tower. The kids wanted to take a dip in the pool, but the pool was closed for renovation. However, the concierge suggested we visit the sister hotel at Marina Mandarin. They paid for the return taxi fare which was a good gesture. Overall my family enjoyed the stay there.

Despite room service being rather expensive, this hotel has a great location, excellent customer service, and you can't beat the views and the food up at the Chatterbox during their morning brunch(revolving restaurant on the 39th floor). This hotel is very accommodating.

Excellent, after renovation everything is new. About the traffic around there, very crowded. The room is luxury n new, more space and clean. The location is perfect for shopping around orchard road. No doubt about it.

I stayed at the Meritus for 8 days in May 2007. The place was fantastic and the front of house staff were excellent. The living orchids that are in the main foyer are spectacular. The rooms are well appointed with most (I think) having king sized beds. I could not really fault the Meritus at all. It is close to all of the major shopping areas on Orchard Road and a short walk to Somerset MRT. Great location and great service.

It is an OK hotel by world standards. Nothing wrong with it excpet it needs some remodeling. Breakfast buffet needs more varieties of foods.

Undergoing renovations while we were there so a little disruption. The POOL was CLOSED though and that was a major inconvenience with kids. Great location for shopping and dining.

Employees very courteus and willing to serve you. Hotel is in an excellent location and between two MRT stations. Within walking distance to shopping areas, restaurants, etc. The actual construction work did not interfere with activities and did not bother us during the night

First impressions count. With so many welcoming staff greeting you on arrival you feel very much as ease. We arrived early 11am but check in was at 3pm, the staff simply apologised that our rooms were not available and as we had a long haul flight from the uk they simply upgraded us free of charge to their luxurious executive suites so that we could rest immediately. The service ewas great with only down point being that their swimming pool was out of use due to current refurbishments at the hotel. But they offered another hotel where we could go swimming and even offered to pay for any transport cost incurred for our travel. The view from our rooms of the city was the best and having breakfast in the hotel top revolving restruat was even better. As a family we were very much impressed.
