The Meritage Hotel was such a nice experience. Although it was a bit far away from Main street shopping (20 min), the Spa made up for it. Another treat was the Trinitas wine tasting on site. For the price, the wines were impressive, particularly the pinot noir. Needless to say my husband and I took a piece of the Maritage home with us as we joined the wine club. Lastly, their eatery was just fabulous. the service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. the food was definately delicious.

After 3 days at the Meritage, I can honestly say I was more than pleased! The grounds were clean and inviting, the staff was very attentive and the services were amazing! The free wine tasting started the weekend off right. I recommend using the concierge services, they found us an amazing restaurant for a quiet, romantic dinner! The location was convenient to all parts of the wine country and was easy to get to and from. The room was comfortable and well equipped and always clean! We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent. A little slow in the morning service, but the dinner staff was attentive and quick. ALl in all, I cannot wait to return to the resort for another weekend visit!

This place is a hidden gem!!! We just got back from a long romantic weekend (my fiancee proposed in a hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley) and this hotel made it even more special. It is very clean and brand new. Its grounds are beautiful--the pictures on the website are very accurate. We LOVED the gorgeous pool which looks up at the resort's own vineyard. Each day the staff stocked our mini fridge with waterbottles, pops and a free bottle of wine from the on-site winery. The rooms were very nice too--soft comfortable beds with lots of pillows and a fun walk-in tile shower --great for two! It is kind of hidden, on the southern end of Napa so you definitely need a rental car to drive to all the wineries, but we would LOVE to stay here again and highly recommend it!! (we got a GREAT deal through travelocity booking this hotel in combination with the airfiare)

Recently on valentines day weekend i stayed at this particular hotel. I checked in around 12am and staff took about 15 minutes to get someone to man than the counter to get me my room. The room we recieved was quiet and well located with a terrible view of the back of the property and mainly the roof. We had one window and no decorations on the wall. The shower had strange and didn't have a tub or any raised ledge to stop water from running all over the bathroom floor. Repeatedly my fiancee found her electrical cords wet in puddles of water while i was showering and she was getting ready. The bed was alright and borderline too soft and the room was dimly lit. The hotel wasn't all bad though. The concierge was very friendly and helpful accomadation when dealing with restaurants and things to do locally. The best part about this hotel is that there are ample areas to sit and relax with larger parties after dinner for a few drinks. Complementary bottles of wine are available your room (included in a $15 resort fee), and wine is also available at the gift shop all hours of the day. The hotel bar is great and wait staff was very friendly. Me and my partner were primarily in the room to sleep and didn't spend time in their doing a whole lot else so it wasn't that big of an inconvienance. I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience last time, but if you are looking for a hotel that is overpriced and advertised accomadations are not available than this is the place for you. Great locations though just south of all of the vineyards in Napa Valley.

I finally decided to write a review of this hotel after staying here several time on business trips to Napa. Really unbeatable for the price, particularly when compared to my stay at another local "high-end" hotel. Staff is courteous, hotel interior and grounds are lovely, and the rooms/beds are very nice.

I don't understand why people are giving bad reviews, we had a GREAT stay. Yes it isn't the perfect location, but Not everyone can be in the same area, was convienent to highways to get where you wanted to go. Service was OUTSTANDING. Everyone bent over backwards for us, Say Hi to Raphael in the Restaurant or Jenni in the Cave wine bar! The rooms we're very nice & clean, only 2 problems, The TP wasn't stocked by the 3rd day But, they brought it within 5 minutes. The pillows weren't the greatest. Not a big deal. Grounds we're very pretty and the food was very good. For the rates of this hotel we we're very happy with everything, You can't beat it for the price.

It Looked like a nice quaint hotel, but this is not the case. Our room was infested with ants, upon calling the front desk We were told there were no other rooms available. We decided to visit the Wine Cave , which is the featured part of the hotel . We had a great time there The people were very nice However, Do Not join the wine club which promises a fifty dollar coupon off Your booked room....We are not entitled to the discount unless booked directly with the hotel. I wish we knew that in advance we bought a whole case of wine and paid for it only to find out it should have been charged to the room and settled with the front desk.I explained the situation to the front desk manager and was told There is nothing I can do You should probably cancel Your wine club membership. That was great help.. all and all stay away ,this place is a time share and unless You want to be harassed on Your vacation I would suggest looking elsewhere!!!!!!!

We stayed there for a wine tasting event with friends and it was great. We stayed at another more expensive hotel last trip and this stay was much better. The rooms were newer and well appointed. The lobby area with the big fireplace was also a nice touch. My wife used the spa which she said was fabulous and we also had wine tasting in the wine cave at the end of one day of tasting throughout Nappa. A great way to finish the day. The staff was very helpful and room service was ontime and the food was good. The hotel was easy to find and get in and out of quickly. I really don't have any complaints at all and would highly recommend it to my friends who are planning a trip to Napa.

Loved the hotel. Two recommendations for the place. 1. Resturants foor was excellent! Ambiance was fair due to flouresent lighting from the kitchen 2. Wine bar people were not so freindly. Compared to the rest of the staff. 3. Other than that, we loved the place.

paid a fortune for the room only to find out this is also a time share and of course when sent to the concierge for a map we received the hard sell for a 9o minute presentation in return for a free tour of napa . we were not interested since we had paid for the room. if you are looking for a quaint quiet hotel stay away it was a very busy hotel. and our room was infested with ants. also dont get suckered in to joining the wine club to receive 5o dollars off your hotel stay it doesnt work if you dont book with the hotel we booked through a travel website. we bought a whole case of wine and were told we were not able to get the money off the room!!!

I followed my husband on his business trip and found myself having a great time. I enjoyed the spa while he was in meetings and then enjoyed the amazing food and service by the staff in the cave. What an amazing night it was in the cave. I have never had dinner in such an elegant place before. The front desk and staff that I ran into during the day was attentive and gracious with all my questions about the area. They made it very convienient for me to go shopping downtown and lunch with a friend I know here by giving me a ride in their shuttle and picking me up when I was ready. I really enjoyed being able to try different wines at the wine bar too. Our room was small but actually really cozy. My husband said that his meeting was very successful and that they are coming back again next year. I am thrilled and will bring my daughter with us to have a treat together again. Even though it was for work, my husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and warmth of this hotel and will come back on our own when he can be free to relax like I did. I feel that the hotel has worked out the new kinks that were discribed earlier and feel it deserves a fresh view from some of them. No, it isn't smack in the valley, but for what we needed and wanted, it couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you and we look forward to coming back.

The Meritage was a wonderful hotel. The amentities appeared to be beautiful and luxurious, unfortunately since we decided to take a balloon ride early in the morning and we were only there for one night we didn't get to take full advantage of them. The hotel was new and very beautiful. The rooms were very luxurious and had a wonderful view of new vineyards. The bed was to sleep for! We had to wake up early, but we didn't want to get out of bed! Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. We'll have to go back to visit the spa in the cave when we have some more time.

We checked in on a Wednesdayafternoon for a 4 night stay. We found the hotel still smelled new. The staff was very helpful throughout the 4 days. The room was on the small side but quite suffient for our stay. Clean and comfortable. We found the spa and wine cave in the side of the hill to be a unique feature of the property. We ate dinner our first night in Sienna and thought it provided a nice environment though a limited menu. Though it's located in an office park, once you're on property you don't even notice and the property is a short drive into Napa. Since the hotel is at the southern end of the valley it makes it a bit of a commute to Yountville or Calistoga but it was worth the drive. We would stay there again DEFINITELY.

The Meritage Resort at Napa was very clean and comfortable. It is located outside of downtown Napa but a shuttle is available to take you into town.

The wine, soda and bottled water in the mini-fridge were a nice welcome. It would have been nice to have a microwave. Although located in an industrial complex, you would not know it since it is away from it. Our room had a view of the nice large pool and the vineyard. It was big and so was the bathroom. Nice digital flatscreen TV. It is convenient to the city of Napa where you had a choice of reasonable and expensive restaurants. We took the scenic Silverado Trail which is nearby to visit several wonderful vineyards.

The Meritage is a large hotel. The rooms were well appointed, but the sunlight came in brightly and the drapes did not close completely. We were given a room with a view of the HVAC system and all the associated noise. At check in, the Consierge tried to sell us a membership to their vacation package. We didn't appreciate being hustled to buy a package when we didn't expect it. The location is in an industrial park, you had to drive everywhere. I thought the location, the size of the hotel and the noise in the room did not warrant such a high price for the room.

The Meritage is a new hotel and clearly still working out the kinks. The hotel property itself is very beautiful, and the rooms are generally nice. The elevators, however, took FOREVER and the walk to the rooms was long and maze-like. My parents were upgraded to a beautiful suite. However, my room had damp carpet and was stuffy when I first arrive and I had to be changed to a different room. Housekeeping and the front desk were inconsistent in responding to requests. I received a hair dryer immediately, but had to request a functional coffee maker five times over the course of two days before receiving one. Also, the front desk was occasionally impossible to reach by phone from the room. This hotel is way to expensive for such missteps.

From the moment we arrived I knew I had made a mistake in selecting this hotel. No-one greeted us, the woman at the front desk didn't look up until I approached her. The small trash can in front was overflowing and no-one was manning the bellman's desk. We moved the rolling rack to our car and loaded .it ourselves. No-one intervened from the hotel to offer to help. The business center had two computers. One had an out of order sign on it for two days. The towels from the previous days pool users were still wadded up on the chairs the next moring at 11:00am. We had a small dog (the reason I selected this hotel). It was 95 degrees outside at 12:00 and they didn't want to give us a room (despite the fact that they had one) until 4:00pm, check-in time. In three days we never saw a manager or anyone who inquired about our stay. This is very unusual for a new hotel. When we checked out, we again retrieved our own rolling rack and loaded it and unloaded it ourselves. Unbelievable! We hated it.

I would never dream of staying here again. First of all its in a bad location, about as far from wine country as possible. Secondly, the room I was in was horrible, the balcony had no view, it was essentially a box. If i stood on my tiptoes I could look over the wall into our neighbors balcony, but that was about it. Room service was bad, they cleaned our room late and then took all of our towels (even the unused ones) and left us towel-less. The pool was okay, yet was only 5 feet deep. The lone brightspot of this place was the hot tub. Now for the whole feel of the place, it is a timeshare location so there are constantly greased up timeshare salesman leading around dopey couples (you know the ones, the type of people who would actually consider buying a timeshare). It is located in the middle of an industrial park (you have to turn onto Napa Valley Corporate Way, to get there) quite charming indeed. To make matters worse, the service was pretty poor, my wake up call was late, people weren't very helpful. All in all, avoid these cheesy tourist trap of a hotel. Go stay at a B & B or a smaller, classier place. Leave this one to the bland, tasteless tourists who think class is having a wide screen tv in the room.
