Our only choice for Melbourne accommodation.

For the cost of the room I found it expensive, and extremely noisy and think I would look elsewhere next time in Melbourne.

all was good Just needs a decore change

We did not like the thin walls...we could hear everything our neighbours were doing (using the lift, toilet, shower,tv). Also, some guests were smoking. We could smell it clearly in our room. 4 stars? more like 2 stars! We will not be re-booking or recommending this dive.

Very convenient location for a short stay. Large room is very clean and extra comfy bed. Tiny bathroom in need of refit, a bit grotty. Walls a bit thin you can hear what is happening in the next room and the garbage truck at 3am in the street. Close to shops and great places to eat out. China Town across the road. Would stay there again.

An excellent hotel in the middle of the CBD, just of Swanston St, in Little Bourke. Very quiet (no traffic noise. It is clean, neat, modern and functional. Given the opportunity, I would have no hesitation returning to this fine establishment.

Very noisy air conditioner. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were undercooked and tasteless. No soy milk or decaffeinated coffee. Everything else was okay so mainly happy with the stay and would probably go back (and just avoid the eggs).

Staff were competent and helpful, more to the point happy!

Very good kitchen facilities, and location was perfect, right in the centre of the city.

Mercure Hotel Welcome was located conveniently in the heart of Melbourne right next to David Jones/Myer. Not luxury but for the price it was 'quick and clean'. Staff very helpful.

ideal location in the heart of the city. all the staff were very helpfull and the cleaning staff were great. would not hesitate to stay ther again and would recomend to anyone.

excellent location for shopping and restaurants - highly recommend for those in the market for a good shopping location!!

We found the room very small for a twin share. For example only room for one chair. Also found the bathroom really needs upgrading eg, handrails required over bath. Also found the eatery that was recommended by the staff for breakfast did not have a suitable breakfast menu.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, and you have access to the best that Melbourne has to offer. The twin room we stayed in was very small, and the decor was rather tired, but taking everything into consideration with the price and the very knowledgeable staff it is a hotel that we would return to.

Great location, rooms average, great service, bit confusing 2 hotels sharing the same lobby though

Great location, very handy to the State Library & all transport. Would stay again.

Tiny room, awesome location, terrible pillows!!

Location central and in a commercial area. Close to department stores and eateries. Standard rooms very small. Walls are thin, so noise of flushing and guests talking outside room come into room. Decor and facilities in room basic and crude. Meet basic needs of travellers with budget in mind and do not expect luxury. Staff helpful.

Excellant location in centre of CBD, average hotel, not flash but comfortable and clean. Room and corridors very small. Room service pricing was surprisingly higher than the Crown Promenade which is 5 star hotel. Buffet breakfast was good with a good choice available. For a budget hotel in central city location this is very suitable.

Excellent location, service and facilities! Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the middle of the city, close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well equiped.
