This is the third time we have stayed at the Mercure Milton Keynes.I noticed that the hotel was looking a bit past its best and is in need of a good redecoration and new carpets. However, the staff were pleasant and the room was comfortable

evrything about mercure parkside was professional from the reception when booking in to the room. The room was immaculate and had a mini bar, and all kinds of tea on offer. It was a quality room with original features, very peaceful and comfortable. The bar, in which we had one drink before going out was friendly and the staff helpful and courteous throughout. Overall we will come back to this specific hotel when we come back to the milton keynes area again.

Was there for a Christmas party.Little did we know that another company thought that they had exclusive use of room for their Christmas party.we were taken in 30 min before them.eat our Christmas meal with the room 3/4 empty. No atmosherphe etc.The other company then were ushered in and we were asked to leave while they rearranged the tables to clear the dance floor. This turned out to be a blatent lie.The other company were actually doing staff presentations.A complete waste of £70

The room was clean, modern and great value for money. It would have been nice to eat in the restaurant however it was closed; the pub nearby serves great food though!

My wife and I had stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed the experience. My stay this time confirmed that Parkside is a very good choice. It combines an old style elegance with all modern conveniences and friendly efficient staff. It's 24hour food service is particularly convenient for both leisure and business customers. The ample free parking is another added bonus as is the rural ambience, although one is almost in the heart of MK. However, as an Irishman I would appreciate it if all bar staff were shown how to pour a pint of Guiness correctly!

The night porter at the hotel was one of the best - Sandwiches and drinks @ 1am and service with a smile.

Room was really poor - in a separate building, no remote for the tv, and no satellite stations as advertised. The wifi access didn't reach as far as my room and it was really noisy whenever anyone moved upstairs.Dinner was a big disappointment considering how much they rave about the food. A £14 duck salad consisted of a duck leg and some leaves from a supermarket salad bag. Coffee and toast for breakfast would have cost me £15 if I was stupid enough to accept it. Looks great in the pictures but that's about all. Having said that the reception guy was friendly and the room was clean.

I was disappointed that breakfast was not included and expensive. Otherwise all was excellent.

Service slow but friendly. Had to continually ask for things, eg bread for toasting, glasses for juice, butter. No mushrooms available at breakfast which seems strange when they provide a full English. No biscuits in room but no problem getting some. Bottled water no longer free of charge in room - be warned that you will be charged if you drink this from the mini-bar.Staff lovely but a bit thin on the ground in restaurant. Room nice and quiet but have been in different rooms near to function suite which are dreadfully noisy whenever there is a party which is the case most Friday/saturday nights.

Service very good, I arrived late (10pm) nad had my room upgraded to save me staying in the coach-house (separate building). Comfortable room & bed, clean.

Easy to find. Very close to the town centre. Lovely grounds. Rooms furnished to very high standards. Reception staff very helpful.

As an ex-regular under the previous ownership I have always felt it has gone down a notch or two under its new management - as a once very friendly picturesque and quaint place it transformed into a slightly sterile, charmless and brisk place of business with an highly overpriced bar - and its mayhem at weekends because of wedding parties being held there.I still recommend the hotel though, for its value for money and its beautiful setting - but be warned the atmosphere and calm is nearly always hijacked by the wedding guests, and the staff seem constantly rushed to fulfill the needs of the wedding party - but overall a pleasant hotel in a very picturesque park of MK, techniquely its situated in Woughton [woofton] On-The-Green.

The food was very good indeed we really enjoyed it. The rooms outside the hotel were a little small but very clean. The staff are very friendly and as i am disabled were very helpfull to me .

Food very good but asked for one piece of bacon, one sausage for breakfast and got two of each - obviously the standard portion. Maybe a little more responsiveness to requests would have been good, and would have saved the hotel some money too. However I plan on returning to this hotel.

Pretty hotel in a lovely village just minutes from central Milton Keynes. Has an air of faded gentility - there was an elderly couple enjoying afternoon tea when I arrived to check in. Entrance and bar area definately needs updating and everywhere is a litlle bit \"grubby\" although my room was clean. I had booked a superior room which was ok apart from the loud laughing and talking well into the small hours - it was room 1, over the bar so be warned! I was not refreshed for the 3 meetings I had the next day! The bathroom was a good size and nicely fitted. The restaurant was a li ttle stiff and formal - although the food was hot and tasty it was a little pretentious. I didn't eat breakfast - no way I am paying £15 for cereal and toast, which is all I have, even on expenses! There are mini bars in the rooms but no prices - very dangerous!! No milk left for drinks either, you have to ring reception which is a bit of a pain. One shining star though - if you like your wines have a chat to Jeff in the bar - he was funny, knowlegeable and happy to let you taste anything before buying. Just as well really - the one glass I chose was £8.50. All in all a bit of a disappointment - the overall impression was too expensive and too full of itself!!

Excellent stay. Immaculate room, friendly staff. Breakfast a bit pricey at £15.00 but the room was only £59.00 so no complaints.
