From details given at time of booking, and first view of foyer, things looked good. Room small but adequate. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Dust on back of chair, brown marks on ceiling. Grout on tiles in shower had black mould and soapdish had thick scum on it that you can scrape off with your finger nails. The front desk was informed and we were told it would be cleaned. Three days later it still had not been done. So no I would not recommend Mercure to anyone

great location as it is only 10mins walk to food and entertainment, fantastic view and good security as all lifts and facilities are managed by key cards, guests are also welcomed by a greeting message on their in-hotel TV programme, will be great if they could upgrade their utilities as manchesters and cups/glasses come odd, not in a set!! But for the price that they offer, I would visit again.

Stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the hotel and Wellington Wellington is very hilly and the hotel is situated above the main shopping centre so you walk down to most things On the walk back up the hill you can enter from the bottom of the hotel rather than walking up the hill to the front entrance that I think is on the 5th floor Staff were very helpfull and there are plenty of restaurants etc nearby

An older motel. Has 24 hour reception desk which was good as we didn't check in until midnight.

Check in staff very pleasant. We rented a double room with twin beds, on going to bed and pulling back one of the beds we found that it had not been changed from the previous guest. On requesting that this was rectified the next day, we got back from a full day to find that it had not been done. On asking for the second time this was done. No compensation for this was offered by the hotel, very disappointed over all.

Nice clean hotel, although you can see that they tried to make it modern with the renovation. Service was very good, and the food was very fresh - not the best cooking however. Overall a pleasant stay.
