Lovely hotel shame about the TV reception! Especially as we had our children with us. Otherwise, the room was spacious, clean and bright with lovely soft furnishings, sparkling clean bathroom and good facilities. The price of the room didn't cover breakfast an option at time of booking would have been helpful.

Great room updateWe booked a room through laterooms.com but when we got to the hotel we could upgrade to a great kingsize suite for only £10. Brilliant room and service, highly recomended.

Good Quality & Customer ServiceStaffed by friendly & pleasant front of house reception, even finding an umbrella to borrow during our wonderful English Summer weather, we enjoyed a good nights accomadation with an good sized room , although I suspect that someone had smoked in the room even though it was Non smoking as it had a smell about it ( or is because the windows don't open & the rooms are not aired?), but we were only there for one night & probably should have mentioned it but didn't. The breakfast was very good , with the full english living up to its name. Would use again.

You won't be disappointed...I frequently travel to Bristol and have stayed at many hotels the Mecure by far the best value via laterooms etc. Wonderful hotel, very helpful staff. We only have breakfast which is always very tasty with a huge hot and cold spread. The hotel is child-friendly and very happy to accomodate my toddlers needs.Only niggles on this occasion was the lack of parking for guests over the weekend. The car park reaches capacity very swiftly. which meant my partner having to locate parking some distance from the hotel. Also the supplied toiletries were a little poor, no tissues, shower cap, slippers etc. but these are minor issues.

banksy exhibition visitI stayed here with my daughter who is 21 (so mixed age group) to visit Banksy's exhibition and we had a lovely stay. We had a big room with two double beds very comfortable. The reception staff were very nice and professional. I read a review which criticised the pool key card saying it was too much trouble. We asked when we arrived and was given the card it was no problem at all dont know what he was on about. The only tiny little criticism was the tea/coffee tray was short of tea bags we had a cuppa when we arrived after a long journey and there was none for the morning. although I know we could have phoned down for more but we weren't dressed so didn't want to open the door. I didn't find any hidden charges as stated in a review. I knew breakfast wasn't included and we chose to eat out and it is usual to pay for car parks in the city hotels. We stayed parked for over 24 hours for £10 I have no problem with that. The late room price was fantastic we saved £80 you can see the prices on a screen at reception. Its walking distance (few minutes) from the harbour where there are lots bars and restaurants.

A good stay at this hotelWe stayed here for a short visit with friends, we didn't eat at the hotel or use the spa but the rooms were clean and service friendly. There is road parking available so check this out before paying for hotel parking.

Rest and RelaxationThe hotel facilities and room were great. It was just unfortunate that there were a group of teenagers running up and down the corridor making noise until the early hours of the morning. Complained a couple of times to reception. It did spoil my break.

One night stay...Good quality rooms (feather pillows & decent shower), rooms seem to have air-circulation rather than air con - not easy to cool (and can't open window), but I was was quiet (reasonable walls & doors).Did book this hotel for pool but was closed 'due to maintenance' (not notified at booking).Breakfast was good.

Huge hotel, very clean, staff friendly, breakfast great. Went upgraded room for £10, well worth it as large, though offer of 'view of St Mary Redcliffe' a red-herring as trees blocked any view other than road outside! Pool lovely, but could really use a jacuzzi and steam/sauna and loungers to be classed a 'spa hotel'. Spa relates to separate building off the back, for treatments ie nowhere near pool.

Adequate for our needs.Quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have every slept on. (but that could be down to personal preference)The leisure changing facilities seemed a little unkempt, and had run out of towels and toiletries. However in general the hotel was pleasant, served our overnight purposes and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Excellent position for festival at the Floating Harbour. Very quiet clean rooms and would recommend this hotel for staying in central Bristol.

Over-complicated slightly stuffy and anonymous former business building - with hidden costsThis is a large 4-star hotel, newly refurbished from a former bland office building near the docks and Temple Meads station. Everything is modern, in a bland and rather airless style. The windows of the rooms don't open, and the rooms seem stuffy, despite air-con. There is a pool - but the process of getting clearance (health & safety) - from reception before gaining admission, then needing correct coins for lockers etc - just made it not worth the hassle. Our first room had a terrible 'off' smell, but we were moved without fuss. They hadn't provided a cot as requested, and the staff member, though very pleasant and well-intentioned, didn't know how to erect it. Biggest no no was that the breakfast is not included in the price, but they don't tell you that. The car park too is £10 a day, and requires ridiculous toing and froing with vouchers and electronic passes to use.

the hotel was clean, food was lovely although a little expensive as were the drinks. The room was very nice with a large bathroom we had 2 queen size beds, the room was very spacious, the only negative point is the hotel dont inform you about the car parking fee before you travel (its £10 for 24hrs) i would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Good service, friendly staff. Not the most suitable place for small children but it was adequate. The rooms are very stuffy and you have to keep the air con turned up.

My daughter had to go to the childrens hospital so we decided to stay over the night before in a nice hotel as a treat. The children loved the pool and enjoyed their stay, the staff were helpful and accomodating, we did not eat in, as my daughter got to choose where to eat. This was good value for money as we got a late room.
