hotel into full work with restorations all 10 days. Rooms are very small, no space for our bag, it stays on a chair. Lift lefts 2 days without light, the bulb hanging out of its support by the wires. Avril 2007 very hot in Paris, front desk told us every day that the maintenance company will start up AIR Condit. next day, never happens. Positive points Room and bath very clean. Excellent location and access to busses, Metro, (subway) & Trains, due to the location near two main railway stations North and East stations Restaurants at correct prices everywhere around

I stayed at a one bed room. I knew it should be small, but I couldn't find a place on the floor to open my luggage! The bathroom was new and clean. Breakfast was appropriate. The night staff was very cold, while during the day was warm and friendly.

We requested a non-smoking room (we have severe allergies) and were told we had one. The room reeked of smoke when we occupied it and for the first 24 hours of the stay.Otherwise this is a good, very basic, Paris hotel. Newly remodeled bathroom was impressive, quiet with the windows closed and convenient to the Gare. There are three similarly named hotels in the area and we were first dropped off at the wrong hotel. Taxis found it hard to locate though this is not the hotel's fault.Julie at the front desk was superb. Would stay again.

Good location although a little hard to find coming from the metro, gard l'est is closer than gard du nord, lots of road work outside the front door, room was clean, quiet, spacious for europe, comfortable for three, day staff very friendly, english spoken, bought tour bus passes at front desk, would recommend staying here

The staff at the hotel were excellent, with one notable exception. The evening/night clerk seemed incapable of giving advice or accurate directions, and twice just made up something to get rid of us. Not acceptable, but once we learned not to ask anything of him and save inquiries for the day staff, we were fine! The hotel is lovely inside, but there is major construction going on on the street outside the hotel right now (June/July 06), which starts at 7am each weekday. No need for an alarm clock or wake up call. The area around the hotel is fabulous for food and easy access to L'Open Tour, city buses, and metro. We had no problems navigating, and would definitely return to this hotel!

A comfortable hotel located within 6 minutes walk of the Eurostar terminal at Gar du Nord. Good value, especially the €10 breakfast serving the best coffe we found in Paris. We are in our 70's and it suited us very well. Ws will return.

Excellent! Highly recommended! Hotel very clean. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Couldn't do enough for you! Located in a great spot, close to shops, museums, patisseries, you name it. Metros are very near, along with the main train stations, which makes it very easy to get about. Loved it! Went with two other friends and had a great girly weekend. We will be returning, for sure!

This room was perfect for a family of 4. Convenient to train stations (Gare Nord and Gard Est) and to the Metro. We were able to squeeze a lot into 2 days at a reasonable cost.
