we stayed one night, the room first given to us smelled strongly of smoking - despite having checked twice prior to arriving at the room that it would be non-smoking. We were moved straight away. The room was clean but there seemed to be bubblewrap instead of underlay and the bathroom grouting and taps etc were in poor condition. All staff were really polite and helpful and very pleasant to all hotel patrons nothing seemed to be any trouble to them.

An old fashioned hotel. Looks modern in the lobby but the rooms are in need of a revamp. Rooms are large, breakfast is ok but nothing special. Location is good- about 10/ 15 min walk to centre

The finish of the room was not as good as on previous visits - perhaps this was because it was a disabled room (although we did not request or need this) - excellent location for driving and public transport - good recreation facilities

The hotel was ideally situated for us to walk into Glasgow City Centre. As my husband uses a wheelchair we asked for a larger room to accommodate it and we were not disappointed. It was really nice. The offer of dinner included on one evening was excellent and value for money. We would certainly use the hotel again.

Excellent hotel close to centre of Glasgow, well run with good and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms are spotlessly clean, although TV channels are rather limited and air conditioning was all or nothing. Good health spa, nice restaurant (wines a little on the expensive side) and secure parking.

After an initial mix up where we were put in the wrong room above a noisy wedding party, the staff were very helpful, moved us quickly and double checked that were were OK and had every thing we needed. Room was nice, facilities were good and the food was excellent. Hotel is well situated, a short walk into the city centre. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

The Menzies is less than ten minutes walk from Central Station, a bit out of the way for bars, etc. but very near The Ferry where we were going to a gig. The room was great, big bed (superking I think!), seating area, TV, Wi-Fi, ensuite with plenty of clean white towels. Full use of pool, sauna, etc. if required. Good choice of continental & full Scottish breakfast. Only gripes were we couldn't get the mini fridge on, and didn't get the wakeup call we requested.

The staff (and there were plenty of them) were obliging and went the extra mile I would whole heartedly recommend it and a trip to Glasgow The city is interesting the people friendly and the museums etc are free!

Fantastic £64.50 deal which included free use of carpark, pool and dinner on 1 night. Excellent buffet breakfast and really friendly efficient staff. Really clean and comfortable and central location in a fun, amazing city. Talk to the people - they are all comedians! One of the best hotel deals ever. Tip well, the staff are excellent and work hard to let you enjoy your trip. Unreservedly recommended!! Great hotel in a great city.
