Very Enjoyable StayA clean and comfortable hotel at an affordable price. Great for the two of us, but I wouldn't take my five children there. Definitely suited to adult guests.

Although on late rooms it says that this hotel has air conditioning in all rooms it does not. This was the deciding factor for me and it wasn't cheap. This hotel does not have Air conditioning in all its rooms. I heard from another guest that it does not have 24 hour room service either, and only 5 TV channels. For the money it was a fairly basic room overlooking the car park. It would have been nicer to have had a balcony. I did let them know it was our 1st Anniversary, but this didn't make a difference.

staff were great, room was very spacious, room decorated quite well, no air conditioning so it was extremely hot and stuffy, extremely expensive bar expect to pay in the region of £8+ for a SMALL white wine and a bottle of peroni! location was excellent as it was about 2 minutes from the beach, great surrounding areas, didnt try the resturant as wasnt too much food to choose from, other than that everything was great.

Awesome view, balcony perfect for sitting with a cool G & T.Have stayed in what seems to be the best room (1103) a couple of times before. This is a great room in terms of size, views of the sea and two balconies.Only negative is that the bed is two singles pushed together, and twice now one of the bases has obviously been broken, resulting in the mattress on top sagging very badly. On both occasions the hotel staff have changed this for us, but would have been better if done before guests arrive, not after.Had use of the leisure facilities next door at the neighbouring Menzies Carlton - indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, sauna and jacuzzi. Perfect for relaxing.

Overall value for moneyWe had no problems with leaving the car here early and going to do some shopping. If you are intending to go to the town centre then it is a good 30 mins walk.Staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming .

Game of two halvesNot all bad. Ten minute wait on arrival at reception. Dingy dusty room. Breakfast day one, buffet style. Poor experience. Poor quality food. No direction. No attention to ones needs. Difficult to get hold of people. table not set properly. No cups and saucers or knives and forks.Food not replaced in trays or drinks not available.Excellent room service though. Friendly staff delivered beautiful supper with wine. Breakfast day two. Far better. A la carte. More atention to detail. Beautiful view from hotel. Poor value though if you pay full wack.

The website describes it as one of Bournemouth's best known luxury hotels - for certain luxurious it is not. For the Lateroom price of £70 it is OK but this is the most it is worth. The full rate would be a joke.

WeddingMy Son and Daughter in law held their Wedding Reception at the Hotel, the Staff, and organisation was brilliant, the rooms were good, everything overall was realy good and they we had a wonderful day.

The Menzies - BournemouthRoom booked at very late notice using the internet and 'laterooms.com'. Decision to travel to Bournemouth for family matters done late Thursday afternoon and the site was very useful to enquire as to which hotels listed had both Friday and Saturday nights. The Menzies was one of a handful that could provide both nights as well as location. The stay was very comfortable and the room lovely, although I had booked a smoking room and was put into a non-smoking room but they offered me a standard room to compensate which I declined as it meant losing the sea view. The booking was also confusing as I believed it included breakfast but this was charged separately. All this aside, the staff were very professional, helpful, polite and a credit to the hotel in every aspect. The food was absolutely gorgeous and a great variety was on offer. The room was great, clean and equiped with all the creature comforts you might need.

Very helpful reception staff who even arranged for us to have an upgrade to a sea-facing room when they discovered we had just got married a few days before. The room itself was very clean although quite small but absolutely fine for a short break. We ordered room service which was fairly average but the inclusive breakfast in the morning was good. Very good spot with an easy walk along to the pier or into Bournemouth town centre.

Menzies East Cliff Bournemouthcannot praise this hotel or its staff highly enough. despite check in not until 3 our room was ready at 11.30, and we were given an upgrade. Room service was of a high standrad and very prompt.10 min walk to te BIC so excellent location.

great location for beach and town centernice hotel, clean friendly great location for seafront and town center lovely views from seaview rooms\r\ngood you can use facilities of carlton next door (small pool, gym and suana but a plus to have use of)\r\nonly downside was lack of sky sports channels which you would expect from a four star hotel\r\noverall nice hotel and worth paying the extra for seaviews\r\nwould definitely consider rebooking in the future
