Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the twin standard room which was modern, clean and spacious. We only stayed the one night but it was a great experience. Will definitely be going back next year.

last room in town?Room is comfortable and the staff is friendly. but not worth the £128 per night.

Mixed ExperienceWhilst the room was very good the breakfast was the worst I have had for a long time

The hotel looked like it was in the process of being refurbished, the rooms were very nice however the bathroom was in a very poor condition. The bathroom was very dirty, we had our 9 week old son with us and had every intention of bathing him in the bath however I would not have bathed a dog in it. To say I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the bath is an understatement. The rest of the hotel was satisfactory and the staff were both friendly and helpful, shame really as I guess it could be a nice place, hopefully the refurb will take into account the condition of the bathrooms and provide the upgrade they sorely need. No excuse for poor cleaning though!!!!!!!!!

The bathroom was filthy. I complained to reception and they said they would go and clean it before we returned. On returning to our room the bathroom did not look any cleaner. The grouting in the tiles was black and the bath was a disgrace. My wife could not use the shower it was so dirty. On check out we asked to speak to the general manager who apologised and said the rooms had recently been refurbished but the bathrooms were thought to be ok. She agreed with us that the bathrooms are disgraceful and asked us to complete a coments form. She also gave us a 25% discount. We will not be using any Menzies hotels in future after this experience.

During my say, the staff were all warm, friendlysnd very helpful. With no exception. The hotel was busy but this did not impact on the customer service at all.It is also unusual find a bed room that is neither too hot nor too cold but the temporature was perfect for the time of year, making the experience all the more plesant.

booked through late rooms.... no record of me on checkin.... night staff were useless. looks like im going to be billed twice ... my manager made booking, but they could find no record of it... i had to create new booking when i checked in... terrible hotel service

The room was huge and very comfortable. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient

Ref. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho "Bates's Motelâ The hotel should not be advertised as a hotel. The rooms stand in concrete chalet blocks away from the main reception area. The reception area was manned by persons of foreign decent who had difficulty in speaking English. The food was edible the service was appalling. The waitresses (Polish) appeared to be having discussions (in Polish) about there social calendars. The most helpful waitress during breakfast was about 80 and reminiscent of Julie Waltersâs character in Acorn Antiques.Pretty much all of the hotels in Aberdeen would have to be full for me to stay here again.

Rather a tired old style hotel. Colleague got out roomed on arrival even after confirming he was travelling to them (9hrs!) Breakfast staff very reluctant to give coffee and tea or even eye contact in some case! Very much self service...Room service was good but breakfast varied in temperature in relation to staffs attitude. The hotel relies heavily on through put of oil workers and treat every one accordingly!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The food was great and the room had recently been refurbished and was a very good size. Although refurbishment is still going on it did not detract from our enjoyment.

I stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and I was amazed at the quailty for £39 the room was huge it had a bed big enough for at least 4 people a 2 seater sofa and a chair a huge dressing table with full size mirror. The Room was had lovely decor and was exceptinally clean, They staff were very friendly on reception and offered the resterruant faclities and explained there was building work going on in and around the hotel and they apolgised for any inconinvce.GReat hotel great value for money would def stay here again !!

The room was smelling with fresh paint, it was noisy, and worst of all was that they neglected to make the ordered wake up call. It might be better at another time when they are not renovating the hotel, but it was by far the worst hotel experiece I have ever had at the charge rate of that hotel. If it had been a business trip where I had had a choice then frankly, I would have returned the key and gotten a room at another hotel. The hotel bar was fine though.

This Hotel is aminly used by oil workers waiting to go ou to rigs and is undergoing major refurbishing work. It looks like a Prison on the outside but is OK inside. My wife felt uncomfortable when siting in the Bar Area.

Room was of a disappointing standard given the high rate. The cooked breakfast was not very nice, I did not take dinner at the hotel. Of the 8 TV channels only 4 could be viewed due to a poor reception, digital TV was not available nor was internet connection.

This hotel is due for refurbishment, until then I would not recommend it, especially not for women on their own. Bedrooms are in a separate building to the reception & restaurant area. It was a bit like staying in a hostel yet we paid well over £100 for the room. The morning shuttle bus to the airport with a crowd of oil workers was quite fun though, if you don't mind being called \"Lassie\"!. Incredibly bad value for money - but that's Aberdeen: most expensive hotels in the UK after London, so I'm told.

Mostly a transit hotel for north sea oil workers. Basic buldings in need of some refurbishment but the room was large, clean, and the breakfast more than adequate. The rate was good at the weeknd, but a little expensive at the full mid-week rate. Good for an overnight stay for Abereen airport but do not expect luxury.

First impression a little scary and very shabby. No other woman there which was unsettling. Room large but dirty. Big lamp on table with nowhere to plug it in! Random. We were in outbuildings like a motel. Unpleasant stains on the pillows - they obviously dont wash the sheets with daz. Place appeared better after we purchased a cheap bottle of wine from the bar at great cost.

Well for the money we paid the room was a great size, and had all the usual stuff, bed, bathroom, tv and a great breakfast. However the hotel rooms are based outside the main hotel like an american motel style which is to say the outside decor is a bit tattie. But this is the only side to the hotel which was negative but made up by friendly staff and oversized rooms. For the money we paid it was excellent value.
