Attractions:
Musee du Louvre: Best bet is to pick a period or section of the Louvre and pretend that the rest is somewhere across town. Vast scrums of people puff and pant through the rooms full of paintings sculptures and antiquities, including the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory.
Place des Vosges: The houses, each with arcades on the ground floor, large dormer windows and the requisite creepers on the walls, were initially built of bric but were subsequently constructed using timber with a plaster covering, which was then painted to look like brick.
Centre Georges Pompidou: The Centre Georges Pompidou, displaying and promoting modern and contemporary art, is by far the most visited sight in Paris
Champs Elysees: A popular promenade for the ostentatious aristos of old, the Avenue des Champ-Elysees has long symbolised the style and joie de vivre of Paris
Musee d'Orsay: Spectacularly housed in a former railway station built in 1900. Inside is a trove of artistic treasures produced between 1848 and 1914 including highly regarded Impressionist and Post-impressionist works.
Restaurants and bars: The hotel provides you a varied breakfast buffet, a bar and also it offers a restaurant which is only opened from Monda to Friday for the lunch time.
Tour Eiffel: This towering edifice was built for the World Fair of 1889, held to commemorate the centenary of French Revolution.

whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, we were disappointed by the quality of the room. It wasn't well soundproofed, we could easily hear a television from the next door room. The styling was definitely more traditional than boutique. We would not choose to return as we did not feel it was value for money.

Very convenient location and big room for Paris, France. Front desk staff. Conveniently located - close to high-end shopping and tourist attractions - good size room for Paris.

Melia Royal AlbaPerfect location, very quiet. The room could do with more light and the ceiling needed painting, it was a comfortable though. The hotel staff were great and we received a very nice welcome.

Great location between Eiffel Tower and Chance Ellyses, by the river and 100 meters from a Metro (underground) station. Charged for Internet access. We found this to be a great little 4-star boutique hotel at a 3-star price. The room was large by European standards with a full marble bath and queen size bed. The air conditioning worked, although it was not hot outside when we were there. The best thing about the hotel was the location. We walked to the Eiffel Tower (10 min.), Chance Elysses (15 min.) and even the Louver (30 min.). We didn't use the Metro but a station was about 100 meters from the front door of the hotel. You will find many of the haute couture designer boutiques a very short walk from your door and the Crazy Horse Saloon is only about one block away. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and everyone spoke English. Upon check-in the front desk clerk signed us up for the hotel chain's Mass card which entitled us to a delightful breakfast buffet at half price (2 for 1) and a late check out (4 pm) if available. They also booked us for lunch at the Jules Verne's haute cuisine restaurant high above the city inside the Eiffel Tower (worth the price). The rate we got was about 1/3 the standard rate and a bargain for a four star in this location. We will definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel Couldn't fault hotel. Staff were very friendly, hotel was lovely. Room was immaculate. Great location- 10 minute walk along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower, 5 minutes from Alma-Marceua metro station. Like I said really could not fault it. Would highly recommend this hotel. We are hoping to return this year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Lovely central hotelThis is a great hotel in a fantastic central location. The hotel is very smart with a nice lounge/bar area perfect for relaxing with a guide book, planning your next day! The reception staff were very attentive and helpful throughout the stay.We booked a 4 night break on a pre-pay deal, and got a really good rate, as at normal price this hotel would have been outside my budget. The room was quite small but it wasn't cramped and had nice, good quality furniture and was decorated in a french classical style with drapes over the bed and thick curtains, it became a real home from home. The en-suite bathroom was compact but nicely decorated with a full size bath and good shower. We had great weather for our trip (over Easter) and as the air conditioning had not been switched on the room was quite warm (but not unbearable). The large french doors opened onto a shared balcony and even with the windows open the traffic noise was not too loud. This hotel is located in the fashion district near the Pont l'Alma. There are lots of designer shops nearby, which are great for window-shopping (or real shopping if your budget stretches to it). Although there are some bars and restaurants nearby this area is a quiet residential/business neighbourhood which is great if you want a good night's sleep and not a party! The Champs Elysee is only 10 mins walk and has all the nightlife you could need, or you can get to anywhere in the city on the RER or Metro, both of which are a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The Eiffel tower is about 10 mins walk and there is a fantastic view of it from the end of the road. Also a river boat tour starts from the bridge by the hotel. We found this to be a really central location, with the Grand Palais at the top end of the road (15 min walk) I couldn't ask for a better placed hotel. Next time I go to Paris I will be looking out for a deal at this hotel! My booking was on a room only basis so I can't comment on the food.

Terrible bed!!The bed was absolutely terrible, it was hard as rock and we had horrid sleeps every night. Even with a complaint to reception we were changed into a bigger room, only to find that the bed was the same quality as the first. The customer service was excellent, even with the language barrier, but bedding is suppose to be the best part of a hotel stay, very disappointing!!

Great location for Paris Sadly only had a single night here but I recommend it fully - very well situated in Paris in a surprisingly quiet street - Metro is a liitle odd as Invalideas and Clemenceau are on main lines but there is another station closer which looks some distance away on maps

Charming, Quiet, & Excellent LocationI had a wonderful stay at the Royal Alma! Very clean room and bathroom, very quiet location, and an easy walk to Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower. The Alma Marceau metro stop was just steps away so that made getting around the city convenient. The front desk staff at the Royal Alma was extremely helpful, kind, and spoke excellent English. From my room (702) I could see the top of the Eiffel Tower. I highly recommend this lovely, boutique hotel for your stay in Paris!

Room was small but adequate and elaborately furnished, very much like the ones shown in pictures. Minibar was well stocked, and even had a bottle of Moet champagne. No tea or coffee provided whereas 3* hotels would. Instead, they placed small bags of crisps and peanuts which cost about 4.50 each. Reception service was very good; the staff remembered our room number even though we only stayed a night. The single beds were very wide, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However, it is more recommended for couples who will spend more time in the room rather than for those who wants a good night's rest.

Melia Royal Alma - Full MarksOn arrival the staff were very friendly and looked after me. The room was better than I expected and the facilites were more than acceptable. I was only there for 2 nights, and I found the hotel to be nicely placed for the Metro. It is located close to the Eiffel Tower but on the north bank of the Seine with some great cafes and restaurants. For those who like to shop, the George V street is a stones throw away and has several of the designer fashion houses on it leading up to the Champs Elysees. I will definitely stay there again when I visit Paris in the future.

Excellent Paris hotel for value and locationThis hotel is ideally located, close to sites, restaurants, and transportation. Nice quiet street, excellant value, well appointed. Rooms are up to date with all modern facilities. staff very helpful and attendtive. Hotel is clean and friendly a nice surprise. We ahve lived in Paris before and friends always ask for a low cost hotel in Paris, we have conclude that there is no such place; however this hotel provides excelant value and comes close.

The hotel is very well situated for both business and leisure. The room was of good size but the bathroom was a little too small. The aircon wasn't working very well so the room was a little too warm. People at the desk were nice and friendly.
