The Hotel is located about 15 minutes from the airport and is perfect for anyone wanting to use the excellent sports facilities on site (pools, tennis, Gym etc)or to sit and chill by the pool, or make use of the free bus to the beach. Anyone wanting to explore the island will need a car, though there is a resonably frequent and cheap public bus service into nearby Olbia, and onwards thereafter, but buses can often be late so be prepared to wait. Much of the islands history is in the south which is 4 hours away, so not recommended for a short break. Some great places to eat on the complex, but price varies greatly and not all can be charged to your room. The local bus service finishes at 8pm so if you want to eat off the complex you will need a hire car or a taxi as there is very little near the complex other than a large industrial site. We did walk into Olbia, once, and it took nearly an hour of brisk walking through the middle of an industrial estate, and across a main road, this the only route to walk and is not suitable with those with young children or if you are not reasonably fit. The hotel gardens are lovely but not as expansive as purported on the website. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, though our balcony looked at both the mountains and the industrial estate. There are clubs and bars on the complex, as well as restaurants, prices are comparable with the UK but be warned the bars and clubs on the complex do not open til much later and do not open every night. The hotel staff were polite and helpful and the hotel clean and well maintained. The remote location is the only thing that lets this otherwise excellent hotel down.

Beautiful hotel, very skilled and pleasant staff, beautiful garden and swimmingpool, breakfast and evening buffets = top class. The only thing which is not at all pleasant, if you have no car, this hotel is too far from Olbia city center and there is no local buses on Sundays and none after 20h.00 at night. Taxis are very expensive in Olbia even for a short trip (over 15 Euros) Tourist prices of course....

I was surprised, how beautiful the architecture of the hotel was. Only basement and first floor. Breakfast was really good.

Hotel was nice but no shuttle to the airport (taxi was around 25 euros) or to the beach when I stayed (in April). Took the free shuttle into town (which is really just one street)and they forgot to pick us up on the first night. Rooms were very nice and spacious but the complex is so huge it was a bit of a walk to get between rooms and the pool etc. Outdoor was nice butfreezing cold so didn't go in. Indoor pool seemed to be open to the public too. Staff were very nice though. Just beware of the location as the buffet lunch is 26euros each and the nearest restaurant is in town (and there are only 4 shuttles a day, 2 morning and 2 late afternoon).

A wonderful hotel with all of the comforts and conveniences of a 5 star hotel! Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had a great dinner in their restaurant. Beautiful ground. Difficult to find at night as it is out of town on the peninsula and not well marked. Look for the flags! Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and courteous and provided excellent service. As commented in another review, if you are keen to explore extensively outside the hotel a car is required (taxis to Olbia around €20 and no other public transport). The site is very well landscaped and you are not aware of the industrial zone near by. We are planning to return next year - by which time the spa should be open!

The hotel itself is beautiful. Very spacious rooms, friendly staff, great amenities, nice pool, well-kept grounds. The only drawback I have is location. The hotel is located in "zona industriale" - no translation necessary. Given the enormous cost, this could be communicated to the client (it isn't anywhere by the way). All the reviews indicate "spectacular views" of the harbour. Well the views are definitely spectacular; you see the harbour and the cruise liners, but you also see in between yourself and the hotel a cement plant and a smoke stack. Apparently, this is one of the cheaper 4star+ hotels on the very pricey Costa Smeralda. There is no reason that this place shouldn't be a 5 star. Everything is great in this hotel. I suppose it is the view that drops it to a 4star+. So if you can stomach your surrondings, then this is the place for you. By the way, a rental car is highly recommended for your stay in Sardinia!

luxurious accommodation in difficult to find location. Still building sports area next door (summer 04), but no interference or noise. Probably because most of Sardegna was closed for Xmas period. Variable level of knowledge of locale from staff, but good English spoken. Excellent swim facilities, probably a bit warmer in the summer!
