The hotel was under construction and nobody told us this information in advance. The breakfast is really simple and boring with cold eggs and sausages. We ordered a car through the reception and the car arrived 3 hours late. Our day was ruined and we received 10 EUR compensation.

very central hotel & very helpful staff. the triple room worked out very good value we chose to pay for breakfast & found it good value for money. 1st time i've stayed in a medium hotel but would use them again

This hotel is well located near the city centre and about fifteen to twenty minutes walk from the Atocha railway station. However, we stayed there on a Saturday night and the Theatre next door was holding a music event so we had VERY loud drumming late into the night.

The Hotel MEDIUM CORTEZO was, as stated, vry close to the central area of Madrid so cannot be faulted in that regard. However, although the room was of a reasonable size and very clean, the outlook was not. The window was curtained to prevent one seeing the windows of the other rooms overlooking a service shaft for the hotels utility pipes etc. This was not a problem in itself if you just wanted a good quality room close to the centre for a reasonable amount of money. IF, however, you want a room with a window overlooking the central streets, or a garden or Plaza then you will be disappointed. All in all a reasonably priced hotel offering a great location which was within easy walking distance of all the attractions of central Madrid and with a good standard of cleanliness and accommodation where most of the rooms have no view of the outside.I did not use the dining room so cannot comment on the standard of the breakfast although looking in it looked clean and fresh and at 8 euros it was not unreasonably priced.I would stay again as it was in a very convenient location although I will perhaps look for a similarly priced one with a room with external access to the building.

I was very content with my stay in the Medium Cortezo Hotel Madrid

Some of the people at the front desk were more helpful than others- there always seemed to be someone different when we came in or out. They were typically able to speak English. The room was good size, and clean, though the view was of a wall. One night, there was a show at a nearby theatre and you could here the music in the room, but we were told it would end about 10pm and it did. We did not eat at the hotel, as there were several cafes nearby.

Not what I expected, but as I couldn't know this until arriving, had to pay for 2 nights. Clean and good locat, but very hot as a/c didn't work. Narrow beds, heavily scented with air freshener. If I'd been expecting a hostal, I would have been happy.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed - cheap, very central and had parking.

The hotel was of the class and standard as we expected - avarage. Although located in the center, we did have a quite room overlooking the backyourd that allow us to sleep without any noise coming from the street. So ask for such one if you want to sleep at night. The hotel is oldish, it shows in the furnitures, walls, doors, the minibar in the fridge we had no access as the key was missing to open it. The staff was very friendly and kind. For 1 nigh in Madrid on the way to Sevilla was what we needed - but as the stoppover rather than the place to stay longer.

The Hotel was located in a great position to see the sights. The walk to the playa Mayor was 5 mins and 10 mins to the Royal Palace. Only a 5 min walk to the nearest Metro, which was 1 euro to go anywhere. Shops and bar/cafes right on the doorstep. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, checked our flights home for us, and checkout of room wasn't untill midday. We were able to leave our case there too after we checked out. There were no hidden extras. We didn't eat there as it was much cheaper in the city. Breakfasts were 13 euros each. We got the Metro back to the airport which took about an hour and only cost 2 euros each. The Metro is very clean uncrowded and highly recommended. Taxi journey to the hotel from airport was 39 euros. The only fault was that our room was for 3 adults and they had a put a temp' bed in a twin room, which was too small for an adult and the room was a bit cramped.
