Fantastic ApartmentsThe apartments are fantastic i have stayed here on business and was so impressed i brought the family down for a couple of nights as they are very fussy where they stay.Cleanliness and hygiene are top of my list when staying away from home, you have no worries here. The car park is secure so you do not have to worry about your car being tanned. To sit out on your veranda with a beer in hand looking down the tyne is pure magic, females can substitute beer for wine of they do not like beer.I will be staying here again of that there is no doubt.

Excellent value for money; all facilities that you could want in the apartment; quiet position on quayside.

Excellent value - great viewWas upgraded to Penthouse room - excellent apartment - clean, spacious, comfortable, great views over the Tyne to the City Centre. Here for daughters graduation and was great place to stay.

Very nice apartments indeed - all mod cons and spacious. The only negatives were that the location was more of walk east up the quay than I expected - making bars, restaurants and the supermarket slightly further than I really fancied on a very wet and windy Newcastle evening.

Recent VisitI stayed here recently with my husband , son and daughter. The apartment was very good, we did have a view of the river, but only from the balcony, not the living room .I had thought booking it in March and staying in July , I would have been allocated a room with a better view. The staff would have been willing to change it if the apartments hadnt been full. They did say I should have asked for a river view, which I did , but obviously my emails had been ignored!.The apartment was very well equipped , but should have had more cutlery and some casserole dishes- there were no large dishes to use in the microwave. They state internet access is available, but twe were unable to get a strong enough signal to use it. They stated that if there are more than 5 people using it, there are problems!!The twin room had the ensuite, which is strange... The apartment was good though, easy to get to the city centre with a lovely walk along the quayside.I would stay there again , but this time would phone the hotel directly to confirm which room we wanted.

Costa del TyneOn first arrival we were slightly worried it was full of Hen and stag parties - all a bit like a holiday somewhere cheap in Spain. it all turned out fine though - the walls must be thick as there was very little noise later on and the room was well furnished and the bed huge and comfortable. would recommend if you fancy a night out in Newcastle.

City Apartments - Quayside ReviewAll round, I would say pretty good place to stay. A couple of pubs nearby to grab a drink (check out the male toilet in the Free Trade Inn, wow! That's an experience!) Only negative points:1. 1 Bedroom Apartments are on the roadside and early traffic woke me up at 5 am.2. Location - Quite far along the Quayside away from the main area, however nice walk along Quayside in the summer no problem, if it was winter or poor weather then taxi would be required to reach main areas.

Do not expect class at this hotel!I arrived at this hotel at 11.30pm and after checking it was a little disappointed at my 4 star choice. ok it was a bargain at £59 compared to the £200 normal charge a night...but i was expecting swanky..and i got manky! There was a large paint spillage on the carpet. the door showed evidence of someone tryingto break in. the worst however was when i laid down to go to sleep a waft of vomit came across my nostrils.....when i spoke with the managemnet they told me it is because they have a lot of stag and hen nights....i can confirm that to be true...woken frequently between 11.30 and 3 by high heels and rowdy behaviour and then again at 6.30am when the road works started! by the end of my stay i was blooming exhausted! I regret taking a riisk with this hotel...next time i will stick with my basic but sagfe bet with innkeepers at falcons nest, newcastle. Do not think staying here is a bargain...it is a nightmare to be sure!

Excellent..........once I had found the place. I had to call to find the apartments and was told that their real postcode (as advertised) does not locate on a sat nav. They then gave me the postcode for the adjacent building and hey presto, I found the place. Once there, it is terrific - quiet (in a not so nice area though - lloks like it's in the middle of a builders yard), the view is brilliant of the Tyne Bridges, Sage, Tyne River and so on and a 10 minute walk along the Quayside into the city.

City ApartmentGood adequate accommodation, apart from TV not working and internet connection was non existent. I would stay again if I wasnt on business, internet connection was really important to me. Other than that it was really good value for money and in a relatively quiet location, and reception were very pleasant and helpful.

A beautiful apartment in a lovely building with secure car parking. Unfortunately, the apartments have suffered serious abuse from the hen and stag party-goers. The bedroom carpet was horribly stained and neither tv was working for the two nights of my stay, despite the receptionist informing me on arrival that it would be repaired early the next morning. The toilet cistern whistled loudly and filled with warm water! The balcony shared with the next apartment meant that I could hear the conversation of girls next door who were out for a cigarette - even though they were speaking quietly.

Last resort.....My stay here should have been a relaxing experience - it was anything but!! On parking the car, found there was no access upto the rooms, actually had to come back out again. The hot water didnt work, had to resort to boiling the kettle to wash. No glasses only mugs. The lift was broken, had to walk all way round hotel to actually get out - couldnt get back in without a personal escort from the doorman! Very noisy all night - stags and hens would love it here!! Couldnt wait to leave

Perfect city breakI would heartily recommend City Apartments as a place to stay in Newcastle. Our apartment was overlooking the Tyne, the rooms were large and beautifully furnished. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel, we really enjoyed having a kitchen, lounge area and lots more space. A couple of minor niggles, like the microwave didn't work, but the very friendly staff on reception let us borrow theirs! Also, the fan in the bathroom was noisy and the bathroom door didn't close properly, but these are small things.

Apartment reviewApartment was of a very good standard, with good facilities with in the apartment. Staff were attentative and helpful.Although the apartment is local to 2 public houses 1 did not provid food and the other only provided bar snacks. The nearest restuarants seemed to be some distance away. I unfortunately resorted to self catering. (that is not to say I didn't like my own cooking). With the equipment and facilities within the apartment this was not a problem. It was just not my prefered solution.

freedom of an apartment near to city centrespacious, fairly clean, with well finished ensuite to master bedroom and seperate bathroom.Had booked double-bed unit but 1st apartment only had twins so got relocated to bigger apartment with private balcony and view over the river! Not fully clean as there were crumbs around the toaster, but not a big deal. Apartment means complete freedom on food choice and big space to relax in. Good TV, and choice of DVDs (and the player) to borrow from reception.Good experience and will repeat the visit if up in the area

The receptionist was very helpful when I arrived. On first impressions the apartment was clean and spacious. Despite being on the road side of the block rather than the river, I was still impressed. I was away on business and the leather sofa and flat screen tv were very welcome. The kitchen had everything I needed (including a corkscrew)I only had two minor problems, both in the bathroom. In the morning I had a shower but the waste water didn't go anytwhere. Appears that the plug hole was blocked. The shaving light didn't work. Apart from this the stay was fine. One last comment. About 15 minutes after arriving, someone knocked on the day and as I hadn't answered a man opened the door and walked in. Needless to say I was in the bathroom and he quickly departed when I shouted. I assumed he was a caretaker / odd job man. As a man on my own I wasn't too concerned, however if my wife had been in the apartment on her own, maybe she would have felt differantly. Overall highly recommended
