For a 3* Hotel we could really recommend this hotel.The location of the hotel was perfect 10-15min walk to shops 20min walk to bus station. We were a bit disappointed in the room it was a bit dull. We felt it could be updated but because it was spotless we overlooked the decor. We also feel they should invest in ceiling fans as the rooms can be quite hot. The staff are pleasant and the head waiter is very accommodating as we went on a trip that would bring us back too late for our evening meal so he kindly left cold meat salads for us which I feel is exceptional for a hotel to do.

This hotel clearly deserves another star within it's official rating. All of the guest and public areas within the hotel are immaculately clean and tidy. The staff are very polite and helpful and the food is to a very high standard. My wife and I had a most enjoyable holiday in Jersey and much of that was attributable to the marvelous hotel accommodation.

Not just for the blue rinse brigade!One of the locals told us that The Mayfair has a bit of a reputation for being full of retired people - "the blue rinse brigade" was his description. Well the hotel certainly has more than it's fair share of older people, but we're in our 30s and 40s and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.The hotel is a short walk from the shops (about five minutes) and there are a number of restaurants within reasonable walking distance. Car parking at the hotel is, erm, tight to say the least but there was always a space for our car when we needed one. One thing to note is that your bed and breakfast rate is for a continental breakfast, a hearty full English is available but it will cost you an extra £3 per person.All in all an excellent hotel, even if you're a bit younger than their reputation suggests!

Nice hotel. Breakfast served promptly. Many rooms being refurbished but tiny tv in room, bed not too bad.Staff pleasant.Leisure suite has a fair amount of kit but the figure 8 pool is more of a splash pool than a decent pool for getting some proper exercise.Very close to town for entertainment and parking well lit.

Hotel set in a quiet part of St Helier which was a short walk (flat) to the main centre. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially for recommeding local restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent. The room was spacious and clean although occasionally hot at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Mayfair and Jersey in general.

Only problem that the breakfast was the same menu every day. Just to be picky - I dont really like unbranded beans, tinned mushrooms and small eggs. But hey I am being picky - everything else was superb . . Cant think of anything else to complain about. Great Hotel - one of the best i have been in !!

hotel is not in a very nice area,if we go to jersey again we would not stay in st helier. the hotel itself is fine for the price.
