We were very pleased with all of the renovations that had been done at this location. They were still completing the internet station while we were there but were most un-intrusive about it. Our room was very quiet and well maintained, staff was most friendly. All in all a perfect location and stay (all except the hotel coffee). We saw people returning to their rooms each morning with either the ABC Store coffee or Starbucks in their hands.

Clean, newly renovated, friendly helpful staff, andgreat location. Can't think of anything. The Maui Coast fit our needs perfectly. It was new, clean and contemporary. It was newly renovated and very clean. It was right next to the beach and a 5 minute walk to markets, coffee shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone .

The newly renovated room was nice and well done. We did have a little problem with the toilet which was not completely resolved by the time we left, so they offered us a discount upon the next visit. The hotel is quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The property is close to a very nice beach and other retail stores. For the money this is a very, very good buy.

My sister and I took our annual sister vacation to Maui this year and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Maui Coast Hotel. It's understated elegance was just right--no tacky floral bedspreads or rugs here!

It was very comfortable, the beds were wonderful and staff was great. The hotel restaurant was of very poor quality and expensive.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean, as they are currently going through renovations. My finace and I loved the bed! He orks a very stressful job, so it was nice to see him so relaxed (: The room and everything was set up for us the moment we got there, check in and check out was very efficent.

We just returned from our visit to Maui and were so glad we stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel. We got one of the new renovated rooms (were the first to stay in our room!!) and we were both surprised by the high quality for such a low rate! The rooms were every bit as nice as any Marriott or Hilton we have stayed in. Since we got the SuperFerry rate, we only paid * a night! Unbelievable value. Room included "breakfast" which was just toast or muffin with juice or coffee. Fine for a light start. Better than nothing, I guess. The location was perfect and the pool was the best! There is live music (very calming local stuff, or light jazz... changes nightly) every night that starts just after happy hour at the pool. Mai Tais for $3.50 and then free music! Great to enjoy in the hot tub after a relaxing day on the beach. We would absolutely stay here again. The staff was very nice, even the housekeeping staff greeted us warmly every time we passed. I'll be recommending it!

The hotel is clean in a typical Hawaiian settings with no extravaganza. It is located in a condo area on Kehei where there are not many touristic attractions or accomodations. A nice public beach is a block away where we still needed our double stroller for our 18mo and 3 year old. There is an ABC conveniance store located a couple of blocks from the hotel. Overall, we wanted to have a relaxing family vacation going to the beach in the mornings, and hanging out around the pool in the afternoons after the kids have napped. The staff is friendly and we do not have any complaints. We stayed in a Junior suite which was a good size for our family of 4. Spices restaurant is above average and was convenient for us. There are not a lot of choices of restaurants around and most of the guests had rental cars. There is no night life around the hotel and the streets are empty and dark. After our first night walk to a nearby restaurant we decided not to do that again as we were pretty much the only ones on the side walks and were not comfortable sharing them with a couple of individuals who seemed to be under influence of some sort. Overall, I think the hotel is a nice stay for a low key family vacation and would consider staying there again to relax.

Clean room, hotel staff was excellent. There was construction on site during our stay. A decent hotel for the money, but don't expect resort style accommodations. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Beaches and restaurants were within a 10 minutes walk.

Aloha Maui Coast, My husband I just stayed with you for nine nights! February 4th thru Feb 13th. An absolutely wonderful exerperince. We had not been to Maui before and we are still in "ah" about our trip. Your hotel is the best, the service is exceptional and the newly renovation room was simply fantastic. All employees were exceptional,. but I would like to acknowledge, the front desk and in your Poolside Cafe. Both employees went above and beyond any one person expectations. They both should be praised for their people skills and pure interest in their job. You can see all employees at your hotel are simply happy with their job. Whom ever does your gardening, the gardens are perfect, a gold metal to them. We heard a couple say the renovation noise bothered them, well I would like to tell you, it never bother us in the least. All the employees of the contractor were very pleasant and most hospitable. Staying at your hotel and visiting Maui has been our best vacation by far. If I had to say one thing I disliked, it would be your in-house lady and gentleman whom book tours for your guests. Both were high pressure sales people. You sure could tell they were from Expedia and on commision sales. Trick to that is...just avoid them. Great hotel, great food and great people. Wonderful Vacation. Deb and Garh

The location is good if unspectacular (near lots of nice beaches but not on a beach), and the rooms have been recently renovated. The bed was great--I think the second most comfortable hotel bed I have stayed on. My complaint is that the front desk staff made me wait until exactly 3 pm before checking into my room, and then put me in a room close to an enormous and extremely loud piece of machinery (a cooling unit?) they have at the back of the hotel. The effect was something like having a jackhammer going about half a block away. I called down immediately to complain and they agreed to move me without my having to explain the problem in much detail--my sense was they are well aware of the noise, and deal with it by sticking some unlucky guest with the unit and hoping that that guest does not complain. When I went down to get the key to the new room the desk clerk would not meet my eye--could not tell if he was ashamed of their attempt to stick us with the lousy room or annoyed at me for having complained. In any case, it all worked out fine but a little more trouble getting settled than I would have liked on my honeymoon.

Location. Almost everything else. Front desk greeting was below standard. The hotel was being renovated and was not enjoyable. Loud noise all day and by the pool. My view was of a dumpster. This was my first trip to Maui and I was very disappointed with this property.

I had a standard room since I was on business. My room was above the air conditioning unit so I was unable to open the door for Hawaiin breezes. The bed was a king size that was very hard and uncomfortable. When I complained they gave me a foamy pad, that was okay for a night.Since the front desk said "all the beds are the same"I decided not to pursue it anymore.I spent the week sleeping on the loveseat and waking frequently through the night. The hotel lobby is nice and the gift shop attendant very hospitable.Nice place to stay if you are up early and want to walk around places.

Great location. Easy to find. Beautiful atmosphere when you first arrive at the hotel lobby. Studio bedroom was perfect for couples. Not too small and not too big. Hotel was accommodating to my husband who had hurt his foot. We were given a room on the 1st floor right next to the elevator. Hotel must have been full because parking was a tight. My husband and I went to Maui for a getaway vacation. We played golf on Friday at Kahili golf course and then caught the ferry over to Lana'i and played at Manele Bay. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The comfort of the bed. Refrigerator in the room did not work. Very nice hotel with a open spacious feeling to the lobby area. A great pool with plenty of lounging space.

This is a lovely hotel in a tropical setting across the street from the beaches of Kihei, Maui. The staff was accommodating to any need and with a smile. The price is right considering the alternatives in the area. Lots of walking opportunities with multiple eating establishments nearby. I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
