We chose Masters Inn due to it being close to Patriots Point Naval Museum. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff was friendly enough. Room was a typical motel room, nothing fancy. First problem we had was after dark, not totally sure what happened, but the screaming down the hall lead us to believe someone had been robbed, between the squalling of tires, police cars and such, We had to wonder how safe we were. Awoke the next morning to roaches crawling on walls and celling, they need to have pest control do a better job, or replace them.

Close to Charleston. Carpet/other stained. General cleanliness was poor. Would not stay there again.

if you got on-line and seen the price you know it is not a 5 star so if you don't like it-next

Compared to other lodging in the area, clean and economical compared to other higher, overpriced places. Easy drive to beaches and city attractions. It's not Hampton Inn or othes, don't expect more than you paid for, especially for a night or 2. It's was good price for what you received for the area.

Quick, easy check in, friendly staff at counter, easy to find room, main room clean enough, micro and fridge - nice surprise! The room was fine for a night's stay - just what we needed.

Was staying in hotel next store, had to find cheaper place to stay. Was horrified by first room that I was given, smelled bad . The next room was only barely livable, gaps around front door were so large that frogs entered the room from the small pond across road.

We had 2 rooms reserved and guaranteed with CC for late arrival, however, upon arrival at 10:30pm they had given away one of our rooms! So we had to share our room with another couple. This hotel is so old it needs to be torn down & rebuild. The carpets are stained and ripped, furniture is old and the bathrooms are in such a bad shape that I did not want to sit down on the toilet and wore flipflops in the shower. The walls are so thin that I could hear the guy cough in the next room. I would rather sleep in the car than stay there again.

the city and locaton was great. But the Hotel needs some work on them.I have already sent a complaint to billing. And above are just some of the problems.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, giving us directions to places as we asked, and recommendations as well. However, the room was rather dingy. The carpets felt gross, and there was a roach in the rather unkempt bathroom. Even with the price, I think there must be a better place to stay.

I have stayed at budget motels before, but this was horrible. The room looked as if it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The hotel staff was not helpful or friendly. The pool was not very clean so our kids were very disappointed when they were not allowed to go swimming. The only bright spot was the beautiful location near Patriots Point.

I've stayed here several times over the last 2 years when I get away to the beach in the summer. There has always been a good report from each visit. There has always been the same perky and friendly staff. The rooms I have been in have always been kept well, and the most recent visit, the AC unit has been replaced with a new digital system. Bear in mind this is a low-priced hotel, but still is a fine place for the value. There aren't many extra frills, but if all you need is a home-base to check in with when you're on vacation, it's just fine. Remember though, the Charleston area generally does not have cool tap water, so don't be upset when you can shower with the faucet on full cold and still be comfortable...

No frills here, just 2 beds, fridge and a microwave. We were staying here for a surfing weekend at Isle of Palms, which is minutes away. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Bathroom old, moldy, mildewed, stained. Smell in the room was bad. Fridge had roaches on top. We left at sight of roach. We did not stay more than 3 hrs. Got a refund upon my report of roaches and announcement that I was leaving immediately .

Basically used the great location of the motel as a base camp for visiting the charleston and surrounding areas. Looking to relocate to area. The bathrooms was spotless, however, the fixtures, walls, etc. were in need of renovations. The sheets on the second bed had pet hairs (pet friendly atomosphere) and dog biscuits under the bed and dresser. I complained of the situation and it was rectified. At first, I was worried about "bugs" and checked the place carefully. If I had seen one I would have exited immediately. Basically, the place needs a major overhaul. As there were none, and they profusely appologized and changed the bedding, I stayed. I found everyone to be helpful, it was cheap and the location was great for riding my bike into charleston. Perhaps I am spoiled, but next time, I will pay a higher price and stay down the street.

The location is good but the motel was a dump.

"We were suckered in by the low price. Visiting family --not going to be in the rooms much. No big deal right? WRONG- the room had NO HEAT at least a 2 inch gap at bottom of door, the ceiling light came down when door opened and was hanging by wires. The microwave was nasty We scrub the tub ourselves so we could take shower. DON'T STAY HERE!!!"

booked 3 rooms through orbitz. When i checked in they only had 2 rooms and knew nothing of the third. were willing to get me other rooms to accomodate us and that was helpful.. however... i am still not sure if i will be charged for them or not. called orbitz to get their view point.. they said third room reservation did go through and that i shouldn't be charged anything additional. i would still like to know what exactly is going to happed i'll find out after everything clears with my credit card and i see what i have been charged but i know orbitz did charge me for 3 rooms and the hotel might be charging me also for the third room. so it will still need to get straighted out with orbitz, the hotel, and me.

Not bad...The bathroom needs to be renovated a little bit but it was clean and comfortable. No soap or shampoo was supplied but I'm sure if I called the front desk it would have been provided. Good trip, I'd stay there again.
