The only thing good in these rooms were the beds. Otherwise, the entire hotel was falling apart. Everything was pretty bad...besides staff and service. It was one of those hotels where the locals live for like weeks at a time. But if you are a college kid or you're looking to party for the weekend, this place is fine for a place to sleep and shower. We were only down there less than 48 hours, and it was the cheapest thing around.

The good things: - hotel location - price -nice employee at reception -clean pool -free coffee (morning) -parking, ice machine -cable TV, refrigerator and microwave oven in room -good mattress on bed, hot water, A/C and clean towels The bad things: -Terrible mildew on bath tub tiles -stain and dust on room's carpet -stain on room's walls and doors -fair appearance of tub and hand washer -fair and cheap decoration in rooms

This place was a total nightmare!! First, the corridor between our room and the exit, smelled. The room had a horribly damp, musty odor, not to mention, could use a coat of paint, the bathroom could use a total remodeling, all the grout and caulking around the shower unit was gone. The tub was completely clogged. Apparently, this place is used as a weekly residence for transients, who around 5pm all arrive, beer in hand, proceed to sit with the doors of their room open and the tv's blasting. AND, the real treat. Needed coffee desperatly the next morning, ran up to the nearest McDonalds, returned to my room open the door, and what do I see but THE LARGEST Cockroach I've ever seen I probably should of asked for a refund, or spoken to the managment at this point, but I just wanted to get out as fast as possible. I know this sounds like I've made the whole story up.....but, trust me, I didn't.

the staff was very friendly, all the way from management to housekeeping.great personnel all the way arround.we travel all nite all the way from miami,fl. and arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check in and the management let us get our room at no extra cost and think that was a geat gesture on their part because we were very tired and had my grandson with us(3 yrs.old).on a scale from 1 to 10 i will guve you an 11.yes i will recomend this facility to a friend or relative.

It sure wasn't the nicest room I've ever stayed in, but it was about what one would expect for the price. If I need a cheap room for the night in the area again, I'll consider the Masters Inn.

Room was dirty and run down. I was afraid to walk on the floor without shoes. The room was non-smoking, but I smelled smoke for most of the evening from the adjoining room. Front desk staff was friendly...too bad they had to work there.

This hotel was dirty, some sort of crust on lower walls, the covers on the beds were so tattered and worn I had to choose which of the two disgusting beds was better. Pillows and bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom was disgusting and most tiles on floor were broken and the shower curtain had seen much better days. The staff did make the bed/ put fresh towels in there, however that was the extent of my satisfaction. I would not stay here again. I was here for my husband's graduation from Army basic training and was so embarrassed to have to take him to this hotel after his nearly 3 months of being in basic training and no outside contact! He was disgusted as well... would not recommend this for anyone

The Master Inn Hotel Columbia Knox Abbout, Cayce, was warm, but so far from Fort Jackson military base.

If you are not a smoker, be sure to get a nonsmoking rm! The first night we were told there weren't any such rms (not that they weren't available)... also, basic repairs need to be made. But it was certainly a cheaply priced motel.

We found cockroachs in our room on the second day I asked to speak with the manager but the manager was never available, I left my phone number asking that the manager call regarding my complaint and to this day I still have not spoke with the manager. The only solution they came up with was to say that the manager requested that our room be sprayed for cockroaches and they could move us to a smoking room, we were travling with 4 children and did not want to put them in a room that smelled of stale smoke. The only way I found out about the spraying of our room for cockroaches was to ask to speak with the manager after we found move cockroaches.

It was okay but the picture that you see on the internet does not look no where like the room. it was a shabby little room and had some strange people living on the grounds. i would not visit there again

This place was a filthy dirty shame. You feel that you need a tetanus shot just from having been in the room. The walls are covered with filth, the bathroom is gross, and it looked as if nobody had swept the floor or cleaned the sheets in weeks. The dressers were broken, along with the clothes rack. The dresser, night stand, and table in the room weren't wiped off. There was sticky liquid on these surfaced. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Even though its inexpensive. I'd rather pitch a tent.

"for the price, I was expecting worse. This is an older property, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. it worked out just fine for what we needed and i recommend this to others trying to save $"

"The Master's Inn was not a top quality lodging experience, but for the price, it wasn't that bad. The pool was nice and clean, as were the beds...we didn't spend much time in the room anyways, so it was a perfect fit for us."
