I was a single person only looking for a place to stay for one night. I was only interested in a place that looked clean and didn't have any pest problems. This had the bonus of wifi. So, with these standards and a price in the $30 range, this was perfect for me and I enjoyed the stay. I'm thankful for places like this.

For the price (in the 30s), it's what you expect. My room needed lots of updates: the sink was yellowed from the water; the refrigerator woke me up in the middle of the night with clanking; there was no clock and the phone was on the bureau and not by the bed. The towels needed to be retired, especially the washcloths--- they were stiff and gray. The daily cleaning was fine. The worst part was the carpet. After walking around in my socks for only 10 minutes, they were black with filth. No matter how cheap the room, they shouldn't skip on cleanliness. Depending who was working the front desk, the lobby might reek from cigarette smoke. They also didn't have any tourist info in the lobby, brochures, etc. Mostly real estate books. I wanted info on sites in Columbia. No place good to eat in the area, but you can travel two exits to Ruby Tuesday or Applebee's, but nothing with "local flavor".

The front desk gave us a smoking room when we arrived and we had to change rooms because we had requested a non-smoking room, but they were very polite about the change. The first room was terrible. The drawers were falling out of the dresser and there was an old can in the corner. The spray to hide the smoke smell was rancid. The non-smoking room was clean and everything worked. I was a little concerned that the appliances in each room are all plugged into one extention cord behind the dressers. The pool was clean and looked enjoyable but we didn't have time to use it. A lot of lower class people were in the far back building and the police had to be called once for a disorderly woman who appeared to be on drugs. The front building had very friendly and nice people in it. Overall, I would stay there again if I was in a crunch for money because it was okay for the fee.

Late check-in 9:30, but entire staff was very helpful. If you just need a place to sleep while heading somewhere else, it's ok, but don't expect alot. I was in a smoking room, so, not sure if others were more updated.

My wife and I stayed there for a friend's basic graduation ceremony. My only complaint is that the hotel is literally a stones throw from the highway and unless you are in building two or possibly the back of building one you can hear the highway traffic. They have tried to deafen the noise with how the hotel was built but I still found the noise very annoying. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, it had a mini fridge and a microwave but not a coffee maker or a hair dryer. The whole property is well cared for, the pool looked nice but it was way too cold to swim. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. I would rate it a 2.5 out of 4, the room was very comfortable and the staff were nice but the location's noise sucked.

It was bad from the beginning. THe front desk clerk was rude, the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The beds were disgusting, the sheets and comforters had what appeared to be urine stains on them. We asked for a extra towel and was stained with dark yellow stains. The floor had broken glass on it and your socks turned black walking from the bathroom to the bed. Do I need to say anything more?

The Masters Inn Columbia I-26 was nothing like I was hoping for. Only 1 of the 4 lights worked and no attempt was made to give me different liught bulbs to fix the other lights. The Air condition had to be put back together by me as soon as I entered the room. And the room had a musty, mildewy smell to it. I would not recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. To say that this hotel is a dive wouold be a compliment to it.

The Masters Inn is a great hotel conveniently located right off the interstate.

Service was good very nice staff, but the cleanliness was not there, no hot water, assigned room was wrong, asked for non smoking and got smoking. Would not stay here in the future even though the rates were good. The room had an odor of urine.

The hotel was well located for most Columbia amenities. Simple but clean and with friendly staff made this very good value.

This is the place for a bare bones room; beds tv and shower. No amenities, we were lucky to get a cup of coffee in the morning.

Cheap priced hotel with somewhat easy access to interstate. Good for an over nighter as we needed to stay and visit the zoo which was only 15 mins. away. Great breakfast at the krispy kreme dounut shop near by (we drove there). Too chilly for the pool so we can't comment. Pet friendly for just 10 dollars.

there was no continental breakfast as stated when booked, coffee was never made as the attendant said every morning that the housekeeping crew makes it, she was rude. rooms were not in the best shape, i will never stay there again!

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to Columbia airport. Tha Masters Inn filled our needs perfectly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were also provided with a small refrigerator and microwave. Would recommend to anyone traveling in the area

I stayed in room 208, get there check in was good no problems. Then when I get to the room and cut the air on I am still happy. But after 20 minutes and still no cold air I go to the lobby and speak with staff. They tell me just to wait longer that its only been 20 minutes. Well after another hour of sweating I go back and he says he has no more rooms left, but when I checked in I asked if he had any others cause I may have some friends who might be coming in and he said they had some singles. But now, he doesnt have any. So he doesnt care that we are hot and cant sleep and doesnt even try to offer a free stay another time. We had to go to WalMart at midnight and get two box fans just so we could try to get some sleep. It was actually cooler outside than it was in our room.

The room smelled strongly of a floral cover-up of some type. It was especially strong on the bed. The smell hindered both my wife's and my sleep for the night.

There were problems with the air conditioner and the carpet was very dirty. However, the rest of the room was clean and the shower was wonderful. The staff at check-in and check-out were awesome.

The Master's Inn in Cayce was a pretty good deal for the money. We only needed an overnight stay somewhere that wasn't too expensive. This hotel met our needs. The staff was very helpful and even printed off directions for us. It is an older hotel, but was fairly clean. It is convenient to Interstate.
