The hotel tried to double bill me, they said it was because I made the orbitz reservation the same day .They resolved the problem quickly once I pointed it out to them, the previous stay's double bill is still pending, I didn't notice until I got my statement. The room was so noisy because of a neighboring bar, and the noise didn't stop until 230am. On the up side the staff are excellent and very helpful and the food at the hotel is excellent.

Very upscale hotel & clientele. Could only be better by being on the consierge floor! Upscale hotel & clientele. Professional, friendly service/employees. Great location.

I decided to take my grandchildren to Tarpon Springs to visit relatives for a couple of days between Christmas and New Years. Since they had never visited Florida in December I decided to treat them as my 6 year old grandaughter said "a fancy hotel." It was beautiful they had a big Christmas tree in the lobby, which she took plenty of pictures with her new camera. We got there late and was very tired. The lady at the front desk greeted us, checked us in and seemed to notice that I needed to feed the kids. She pointed to a resturant that was on the other side of the lobby and told me that I could take the kids over there, a sportbar type resturant for something quick to eat. They loved the big screen TV and the fact that they could go inside a grown up looking resturant and I was glad too because I didn't have to go somewhere else to feed them. We went to our room to put our things down and the room was very nice and the view was breath taking. After a quick snack we sat out on the balcony for at least an hour taking in the view and everyday while we were there. The beds were great and so comfortable. Also we left our bag with toothpaste and brushes at home I called the front desk and they brought some up instantly, I was so thankful. I loved the fact that they had a Starbuck inside the hotel also. I will send all my clients to this hotel when they are staying in the Tampa Bay area.

The location and facilities were great. The hotel is next to Channelside (lots of places to eat and movies) and Ybor (food, shopping and movies. The night life here is fun and off-beat. There is also a dinner theater and improv club in Ybor).It's about a fifteen minute drive to Busch Gardens. At the hotel,the staff did not know where to locate a Chinese restaurant and the housekeeping was slow and only mediocre. Because there was a huge conference at our hotel, at times, it took over half an hour to get our car, and the elevators (all six of them) were almost always filled.

This hotel is supposed to be one of the nicer hotels in the Tampa area, but had a conference that ruined our stay. Very poor judgment on the Marriott. The narcotics anonymous convention that the hotel decided to host on 4th of July weekend. Terrible. Will never stay there again because of the lack of consideration of the hotel management. The guests at the convention being held there were not those that I wanted my young kids to be around. So disappointing.

This hotel has the best location if you are going to an event at the St. Pete Forum. It is maybe a 2 min walk! Our room overlooked the forum so we could sit out on our balcony and see everyone arrive and then after the concernt no fighting the traffic could watch everyone sit in thier cars for an hour waitng to get out of parking lot. Hotel had great pool area and fitness center. The woman who checked us in was very nice

I always stay at the marriott waterside when I am in town for a concert at the st pete fourm, I have stayed there at least 10 times in the last 6 years and have always enjoyed my stay with them, it is the only place I would stay when in tampa....

Overall, very enjoyable. The price wasn't too bad when we booked our stay through Orbitz's package deal. $20/day for on-site parking was a surprise, but was easier than dealing with a local parking garage (since you can come and go as many times as you need for the $20). The beds were very comfortable.

I attended a conference and stayed at this hotel. It is beautiful, well maintained, very clean, and has great customer service. The room was large and comfortable with adequate desk and working space for business travelers. The fitness center has a variety of updated equipment and machines, and there is no additional cost (unlike many hotels of this caliber). There are a few restaurants as well as room service, so dining is convenient if you choose not to leave the hotel. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend this hotel to travelers on vacation or business travel.

[...] was the best waiter and host that could have been hoped for. Charming, knowledgeable, attentive and got us exactly what our palates desired. Later, my wife had a fainting spell, and [...] was most solicitous and helpful. Do what you can to make him part of your permanent staff.Sadly, it was all wiped out the next morning as we left. We waited over twenty minutes for our car. Instead of moving the cars through, the staff was fawning over the flashy sports cars. The coup de grace was a showboating driver of an Italian sports car who showed up, abandoned his car in the midst of a traffic jam, and waltzed into the hotel. Naturally, he neglected to tell the staff how to start his car or engage the transmission. With my car in sight, as five of your staff futzed around with the car for seven minutes (by my watch), while chosing not to chase after the showboater, the chaos grew. Finally, they got the car started and drove off. Now, after waiting twenty minutes with my car in view for ten minutes, and letting everyone load and unload directly in front of the doors, the entrance was momentarily vacated. The driver of my car hit the gas and took it as far away from me as possible, despite my yelling and waving my arms. (I am visibly disabled; there was a disabled sticker in my car; and, I did wish to chase my car down the driveway!) I asked one of the valet drivers to have them back up my car to where I was standing (there was no other car in the way). Instead, he curtly demanded that I get out of way and "get down the driveway" to claim my car. What a perfect way to ruin a weekend! I stood my ground, and demanded that the car be returned. With a chirp of the tires in reverse to show irritation, it was returned. And, my wife and I loaded without assistance (as opposed to every other guest) and we drove away. Beautiful hotel and great views. The hotel bars needed more staffing, long waits for service. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was attentive and very helpful with whatever we needed. The location was perfect for us since we were attending a concert at the St. Pete forum. It's a two minute walk from the hotel. I thought it was a great value for the cost and will certainly stay there again.

I thought the hotel was great. The valet service was efficient. When you first walk in you are greeted and directed to the check-in. The room was clean with the exception of one spot on the white comforter. However, having white comforters is nice because you can really tell they are clean. The elevators move pretty fast, which is nice. The pool, bar and spa are all kept beautifully.

Very nice in common areas. The room looked like any other hotel room for the money we spent it should have been bigger and nicer. The parking is valet for the hotel. With a 17 dollar fee per night. There was parking across the street, but you had to pay 10 dollars and a fee every time you came in.

Wake up call came about 10 minutes late. Parking is about $21 a day. Otherwise all was good.

Clean, fancy, elegant, gorgeous. Bartender in attached sports bar was rude. Loved the hotel and how clean and elegant it was. Truly felt like a 5 star hotel but was able to pay 3 star price! Location was excellent and when in Tampa again, I will definitely stay here. The only strange part was when I went to get dinner and a drink at the attached sports bar -- I ordered a hot tea and the bartender looked so annoyed that I would waste his time on that but I was going to order appetizer and dinner and I¿m a really good tipper. Well, I was enjoying watching the game and waited over 20 minutes for him to bring my drink and he didn't, nor did he come back to take my dinner order. So I left and walked down to the new restaurant complex which ended up being a lot more fun. So I recommend the hotel to the fullest but spend your time exploring the local restaurants instead of the attached sports bar.
