Other than the location, the hotel had the feel of an old historic building preserved. The rooms has odd orientation. Overall an okay place to stay in Manchester. There were a lot more hotels with more to offer in the area but it was a decent stay.

Pure Luxury! We chose this hotel as we had previously stayed at another Marriott hotel earlier in the year & had been impressed by the comfort & luxury it provided... we weren't dissappointed!!As we arrived our car was taken to the secure car park by the concierge who was v.friendly & helpful as we asked about the best way to get back following a concert we were going to.When checking in there were no Non-Smoking rooms available & as we had already popped in once to see if we could check in the receptionist kindly put us in a suite which was gorgeous!!! The room was very well finished and the bed was sooo comfy- I didn't want to get up to go to breakfast the next morning.Breakfast was very enjoyable and as you had so much choice it would be easy to please most people.Overall I thought the hotel was fantastic- the finishing touches, comfort and Customer Service were excellent. I would stay here again should I need to visit Manchester in future.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was on the extreme edge of the city centre. Great top quality hotel. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Within walking distance to all of Manchester City Centre. Though on the extreme edge so can be a 15-20 minute walk wherever you are going. However, the hotel is also right on the free Metro Shuttle to get you to public transport anywhere in the city/region. Definitely would consider this hotel again for a future trip!

Excellence at its very best! From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were treated like royalty. The service from reception was outstanding! Every member of staff we spoke to was excellent and could not do enough for us. The room was fantastic, the beds were the most comfortable ever, the shower was so powerful! The food was delicious and fresh.I condider myself well travelled and this is certainly one of the best experiences I have encountered from a hotel stay.I cannot wait to go back and would recommend this to anyone!Well done Marriott - you have a gem in the Victoria and Albert!!

Comfortable Beds. Room a little crampted. Very nice hotel. Combines an older building with an updated look. Rooms are small, but you're in Europe and that's the way it is everywhere. At least it was a queen sized bed.

a stay over in manchesterhotel was great we had to wait a little longer than stated for the room to be ready but we were given a great quality room with a king sized bed to make up for it.Breakfast could have been a little better for the price but really I have no complaints, the hotel was excellant and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in so much so I found myself searching through the hotel details to read up on their glorious mattress which was unfortunately out of my league. All in all a great stayover would use the hotel again without hesitation.

Great facilities in an historic structure. This hotel is actually closer to the City Center than shown on the online map services. The staff was great and the room was SPOTLESS. I would definitely enjoy staying at this hotel again.

We had the most fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was great, the valet parking was a really good option although the car park next door had very reasonable charges. Our room was beautiful, very clean & had everything you could possibly need. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. On the second night the weather was awful so we decided to eat in the restaurant. The food was delicious & the waiter was very pleasant. After eating we had planned to go into the town centre but we were so comfortable in the bar that we stayed in the hotel. My husband & I will be staying here again & every time we visit Manchester.

Great quality hotel quite close to city centre. Luxury hotel set next to the ship canal beside Granada studios. Ideal for weekends away. Great leisure facilities and rooms tastefully decorated to reflect period listed building. Ten minutes walk to busy city centre.

One to Choose.Clean modern hotel. Exemplary service and quality of rooms. In my 10 years experience of travelling, you'll be hard pushed to find a hotel of this quality for the room rate.

Not excellent location, but good. We've put the sign don't disturb and they entered to clean the room! The hotel was good and clean, but the weird thing was that I put the sign of don't disturb and the house keeping entered and clean the room! It wasn't a big problem but weird! The location was fine we walked for all places we want to go to.

Had a fantastic one night stay with my sister at the beginning of June, found the hotel really easy to get to and a short walk from Deansgate and the shops! The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful, as was the concierge. The room was spotless and spacious. Would recommend to friends and would definitely go back again. Thank you!
