I accidentally booked this hotel instead of the Hyatt Suites in Oak Brook but was not disappointed. The thing that stands out is that every member of the hotel staff was extremely helpful & courteous. The front desk clerks were cheerful and welcoming. During breakfast the wait staff could not do enough and when a tip was given he made sure that we knew breakfast was comped with the room. Service like this makes a hotel stand out from the rest. The room was fine. It had all the appointments you'd expect, and was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. And I would stay there again. Good service is what sets things apart for me these days. I will not go anywhere a second time if I am not treated well initially. Breakfast was standard fare. The fresh fruit was welcome. The only thing for me is I wish American hotels would carry good quality yogurt in the restaurants. It's always the tiny containers of highly processed, no-fat sort. It's not real yogurt in my opinion. But as I mentioned that seems to be the norm in the U.S. Otherwise, a good stay in a perfectly nice hotel. Thank you Marriott Suites in Downers Grove!

It was very relaxing and it was quiet. The rooms were bright and the decor was soothing. I enjoyed the suite atmosphere and how the bedroom was separate from the sitting area.

Overall experience at Marriott Downers Grove was great. The staff were pleasant, friendly and eager to help. It has a quite calming atomsphere which very relaxing - home away from home.

Chicago Marriott Suites Downers Grove was a big surprise and the made my entire trip even better. The room was large and laid out very well. The bedroom was separate from the living room area which gave the room a more home-like feel. As for the bedroom itself, the bed was incredibly comfortable and complete with a feather bed and down comforter. After a great night on the town to see the Phantom of the Opera and have a great dinner, coming back to my room and climbing into that bed made an incredible night complete.

Very friendly staff, super comfy rooms, but the cleanliness is questionable. Used bottle of lotion left from previous stay, used Kleenex's under the bed! I have stayed in this hotel before and love the comfort. I was terribly disappointed with the cleaning or lack there off.

The Marriott was great! The staff was so helpful and pleasant. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable and clean. The food was delicious and the lobby area was clean. It was one of the best experiences we have had at a hotel and would definately stay there again and recommend this hotel to others. It was so close to eveything and very convenient.

It's location near a wide variety of restaurants and shopping choices. The parking in relation to entrances and exits could be more convenient. Comfortable rooms and good amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff and management. Good variety of shopping and dining choices are within walking distance if one so chooses.

We liked the room & separation it provided. We liked the adjoining bathroom doors and the cleanliness of the pool. Kids roaming in the halls looking for open doors. No complimentary breakfast. Expensive Wi-Fi. We were impressed with the entry way and the lobby. The rooms were enough space for a family of five (all kids under 11). The bathrooms were nicely presented (nice lotions & shampoo/conditioner). The pool was nice, a tad small, but did provide an outdoor wall to swim through for the summer time (closed off in the fall & winter). Good workout facility and close to highway for easy access to Chicago our outlying suburbs.

The atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Five dollar bottle water in the room. We stayed at this hotel just to have a short relaxing getaway and that's exactly what we got! Clean well decorated friendly staff easy check in. NA. This is a great place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of money for hotels directly in Chicago. The hotel is centered amongst several corporate type businesses. There is shopping in the vicinity as well as several eating establishments and this location puts you about 20 mins out of downtown Chicago(40 minutes if there is traffic) which we did encounter. The rooms are cozy, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. You will not be disappointed.
