Hotel sponsored activities for Children. Ocean View left a lot to be desired. While overall, the hotel and amenities were very good, our Ocean View room, while it did have an ocean views (if you stood at the window and looked to the left), and it primarily had an excellent view of the roof of another part of the hotel. Complete with a baby diaper and some other trash that previous guests obviously seemed fit to share with future guests. Needless to say, we changed rooms to a non-ocean view room (no big loss anyway), and saved some money.

The three pools, two hot tubs, water slide, and short walk to the beach sold my kids on this hotel. The room was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room safe didn't lock and the TV remote didn't work upon arriving. Staff resolved these issues quickly by swapping out the safe and bringing a new TV remote within 10 minutes of our reporting the problem and then they left chocolate golf balls for the kids as a "sorry for your troubles". We didn't like that the fridge was very small and there was no microwave, breakfast was not included, and that you have to pay for internet access. We were told we could try to bring our laptop into the lobby to see if we could find free wire-less access but we didn't bother to try.

Beautiful- views, pools, beach. Loved it! Holiday weekend- lots of people and children. Nothing wrong with hotel though. Wonderful stay- hotel is beautiful with wonderful beach, pools, public areas. Good location- near everything, but far enough away to be quiet. Oceanfront rooms are nice, clean with small balcony. Employees are very helpful and pleasant.

Clean, professional, comfortable. Can't think of anything I didn't like. Hotel stay was fine. However, I had to check out earlier than I had expected. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again, but only when the hotel to keeps my schedule flexible.

Most beautiful hotel - the friendliest service - the lobby smelled like coconuts. The is the most luxurious hotel you'll find in Myrtle Beach! Book it and come back again and again, it's worth it.

My husband and I went to Myrtle Beach in May. We stayed at teh Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort.We absolutely loved it!! The pool was great!!! The beach was awesome!! We liked that the hotel was away from most of the other hotels along the beach. This made it quieter. The room was beautiful. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view when we checked in. We didn't even have to ask!! The staff was very friendly. The price of this holel wasn't too high. We would definitely go back!

my wife and i drove down for the weekend for our anniversary. the room was exactly what we had requested, very nicely furnished and clean. they had taken the trouble to leave a small bottle of champagne and a chocolate dessert for us in the room with a note of congratulations. a nice touch that we had not expected or asked for. the staff was very friendly as well. it was too cool to use the outdoor pool complex but it looks amazing. this property is quite new (they are still building some parts of it; including a waterpark for summer '08 that looks fun).

"I have been to coming to M yrtle Beach for close to 30 years now and this was the best experience I have had. The resort was so beautiful that I felt as if I was on a tropical island. The service was impeccable!! We had a problem with noise from an ajoining room and it was addressed immediately resulting in a better view. In addition, the staff handled our entire move while we sunned at the pool. The pools are beautiful with full food and bar service that is second to none. I highly recommend a visit to this resort."

My stay was really nice. The comforter and curtains are a little outdated; needs upgrading. However, the hotel and the location was really nice. I truly love their landscaping and pool area. It's outstanding!! The security there isn't great when I discovered that my digital camera was stolen by the housekeeper. But I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Very clean well maintained faciltiy. Curtious staff. Can spend a week here without leaving for anything. Resturant was good but a little pricey as is the case with all resturants in this area. Drinks pricey as well. Free internet in lobby but costs $10 in your room. Cushions on lounge chairs around pool should be cleaned more often. Think it's well worth a few extra dollars to stay here to avoid moldy alternative. Will stay here again.

Was charged for a bar tab that I have not purchased to my room ... told the staff and they took care of the problem quickly. They are very professional and friendly staff. My family really enjoyed this hotel.

Standard room but clean. Balcony only 8 inches (faux). Long lines to gset in the restaurant and to get an omelet) with unfriendly staff for breakfast buffet and restaurant too small to accomodate guest. Outside is fabulous! Grilled burgers. Hammocks on grass under palms by the sea. Loved that part.
