| Beautiful views from the rooms. Staff are superb and very welcoming. This appears to be a converted condominium and looks quite shabby in parts. The rooms are nice but we found a roach in our room which is never a good sign. The bathroom was extremely tiny. The walkways to the rooms are indeed slippery when wet. Hotel was packed with British tourists who are nice but boisterous.
Overall a pleasant experience but hotel could do with some serious renovations. |

Thought the location was great with gulf view on balcony and ocean view from front entrance balcony. You can watch schools of fish swim in bay areas and beautiful yachts at night. Staff was helpful and friendly. Micro and fridge are great asset. Clean and roomy. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough.Only complaint is pool hours (only until 10pm) and poor internet.A little on the pricey side but willing to pay for clean room.

Very pleasant stay. Room was close to exit and pool. It was noisy at night. Staff was exceptionally pleasant.

Observations about this location:- The name may suggest to some that it is on the beach but it is not and the suite is not exactly what I would call a suite.- TV has limited channels, especially for kid e.g. does not offer Nicklodeon.- They charged us for high speed internet access but this was not clear on the website (talked about some special business package that included phone and wireless internet but did not specify that youu cannot get free high speed access which is something even budget hotels now offer as standard amenity).- The front desk was not verry friendly when talking about high speed internet and did not inform us of any kid programs at check-in either (something that our check-out person was surprised to find out).- The pool is great and the staff around the pool was friendly. If you are looking for a Beach Resort - I would say for the price, not exactly.

My husband and I would stay here again and recommend it to others we know. We were "upgraded" to the premier level because they did not have any king beds left and while it had a great view, turn down service and a free newspaper, the floor lamp stand finish was pitted and rusty and the bathroom needed a good grout cleaning. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Despite the asthetics, I would definately recommend this hotel.

The first room given to us did not have a balcony and the window was broke and would not open or close. The repairman did not fix the window correctly, but did open it (then it would not close all the way). Anyway we switched rooms the 2nd day and the room was nice and had a balcony (bay side). Friendly staff here and you can take the buggy to the beach (gulf side). Maggie Mae's next to the hotel has affordable and good food. Hotel food and drinks are a little pricey, but we did that a couple of times. Stayed 6 nights, overall a nice trip.

Staff was wonderful, beautiful pool area, loved the boardwalk. Rooms were nice, had fridge/sink. Don't waste your money eating at the hotel, there is a dunkin donuts on the boardwalk, as well as restaurants, ice cream shop, a grocery store and gift shops. Beach access is thru a hotel across the street. Would stay again!

Very nice hotel. Good view of Clearwater Bay, good restaurants off of site. Wanted King or Queen beds and got two doubles. Overall a great stay but a bit pricey (maybe due to holiday weekend.).

Overall my stay was good, I would go back to Watercolor the restaurant, the food was out of this world. The front desk was okay on check in they could have been a little more friendly.

The view of the gulf and intercostals water ways is breathtaking, and you can see both from your suite. Getting to the beach on the beach buggy is fun and really easy. I had a problem in the poolside cafe, the food took forever and it was not a good value for what you pay.

The bed bugs made this stay horrible and intolerable! My niece, nephew and I all woke up with bug bites all over our bodies! Big welts!

Excellent location on quiet sand key. All rooms are suites with a view of the bay on one side and a view of the beach on the entrance side. Beautiful pool with waterfall and Tiki bar (excellent blackened grouper sandwich!). Excellent breakfast buffet. Hotel parking is free. A trolley is available for $1.25/person for transportation to Clearwater beach and other local points of interest.

There were three things that made for an unpleasant feeling by staying at this hotel: (1) front desk staff was not accommodating (2) early check-in, room preference was the lowest (worst?) Floor (3) late check-out. This was for a hotel that was not at capacity (according to the night auditor when I called for info). Second-class treatment is not acceptable.

This hotel is great for families. Lots of great things for them to do and also a babysitting service in the evening for parents to go out. Traveling alone, I thought the pool was very crowded and definitely bombarded with kids. There is a great pool and a great view, but no access to the beach. I have stayed at the Sheraton across the street and they have access to sand key. Overall a really nice hotel with excellent staff.
