My husband and I decided at the last minute to go to the CMA fan fest so hotel rooms were scarce. I can't believe how lucky we got. The hotel was great and our room was spotless. I'm very picky about clean rooms and I could find nothing wrong. The hotel offers a free shuttle as well which made getting downtown a breeze. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful as well.

Very friendly staff and great location. Parking. Very nice place to stay. Fit our family well. Helpful and friendly staff.

I had a room near the elevator, but it was quiet! The room was clean, housekeeping was great! And the front desk staff was efficient and polite. BUT: Staying at the hotel will have additional costs: - Parking is addit. for valet or park yourself - Internet is addit. per day if you want that. Wireless or wired. - Water is addit. $ in your room. It has been my experience that services such as internet are now included, so I was disappointed that it was still charged. ...GREAT LOCATION THOUGH!

This hotel's location is convenient to downtown. However, it's not within walking distance. The hotel advertises a free shuttle, but they only have 1 SUV to transport all 11 floors of people to the downtown area. I feel like this was a "come on", and wouldn't have booked here if I knew that I would have to take a cab every day back and forth to downtown for the CMA Festival. On the first day we spent 80.00 on cabs. In 4 days we were only able to use the "free shuttle" two times. We had to wait 45 minutes each time and get in line with the other people for the same SUV to return. Also, it didn't take you very far into downtown. It dropped us off on the outskirts, and we had to walk 8 blocks to get to the waterfront park for certain concerts. The hotel was HOT! We believe there was a lock on the thermostat, and I don't think our room ever dropped below 75 degrees. The temperatures outside were from 95 to 100 degrees, so it was frustrating not to cool down. Also, the 3 "imitation" pillows on the king bed were worthless. They were so soft and flat that even with 2, it was still like using nothing.

The hotel was very clean and met all my my needs. I wished that the font desk was more knowledgeable of the Vanderbilt Campus and events. Shuttle service gave us a ride to the country music district, but did not answer for the return ride. Cabs were inexpensive and readily available. We at at Jackson's down the street and food was really good. If you are visiting Vanderbilt for any reason, I would recommend this place. They charged $.250 for a drink in machines and $4.00 for a bottle water. This was a negative and I would suggest bringing your own if you plan on drinking more than the one provided in the room. I did purchase because of the convenience but would be more prepared if returning again.

Whole family enjoyed this stay...View of the Vanderbilt Stadium was awesome... the Vanderbilt campus was within walking distance for our daughter to tour....the construction at front entrance a little inconvenient..but staff very helpful.

Centrally located and easy ride from Airport. Room was quite nice and very clean. Only criticism would be narrow room service menu and exhorbitant pricing. We ended up going down to lobby to get coffee in the morning.

The hotel is beautiful! I loved everything about it except the room I had ordered. I had paid over * for a room on one of the upper levels. I told them I needed two beds since it was three of us staying there (three adults). When we checked in, we were told we had one king bed in our room. We again told the person at the desk we needed two beds, and he said he'd do what he could. Without saying anything more, he handed us our card to the room. Upon arriving in the room, we had one king bed. They did nothing to change the room situation nor did they seem to care. So the three of us slept cramped all night in the bed. The hotel was very pretty though.

The Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University is very convenient for those conducting business at the school or medical center. The room was clean and spacious and room service prompt. The only on-premise restaurant was closed, although the hours of operation suggested it ought to have been open. Dinner available at the bar was typical 'pub' food.

Small room, old bed, non-working shower, andinconvenient parking location. Our room was very small and as a result, we had to practically move every piece of furniture, other than the bed, around to make room for a roll-away. Our bed (a king size bed) was old and not comfortable at all. The water pressure was very low and as a result, I was not able to take a full shower.

Best location for visiting Vanderbilt. The rooms are new - great beds and bathrooms. Nice hotel bar.

The Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University was very nice. The rooms have modern furnishings including a flat screen TV with lots of cable TV selections. Our room overlooked Vanderbilt Stadium which was nice. The only complaint about the room is that it was quite small. The only other complaint is parking. The self-park lot is not connected to the hotel, so a walk outside was required to retrieve our car.

The best part of the hotel was the location, just 2 miles away from the heart of Nashville. The room itself was okay - servicable, but nothing extraordinary. The TV was great. . .when it worked. I showed up and the remote was broken. After it was fixed, the TV would randomly turn off every once in a while. The staff was friendly and the brunch was good. Bottom line, you pay for location. You're a 30 minute walk from the center of the action.

The Shuttle. Having to pay for WiFi. I would expect a 4 star hotel to have free WiFi. Also one of the staff members screamed out his window across the parking lot at our cab driver for making a u-turn and it was so embarrassing.

The hotel was close to the University Campus. Eating and shopping were nearby. The rooms were comfortable and modern. Computer access was easily obtained. The exercise facilities were nice- a little small when more than 4 people present but there was variety and it was very clean. The next weekend following my stay in Nashville, I was at the Sheraton in Dallas, Tx and it was more expensive and not as clean, comfortable or accomodating.

The access and convenience to other amenities around the hotels and the area was very nice.

"I reserved a deluxe room that stated it had a King bed AND 2 double beds for $*. When I arrived our room had a king bed only. When I asked for the room as stated on our reservation, I was told it would be $300/night. The ""deluxe room"" they offered was tiny. Even after seeing the manager I could not get an upgrade for the price I was promised. I showed them my reservation and they were indifferent. "
