There were three of us and we reserved a room with two double beds - but apparently they only had King beds left, and they were sold out for the whole weekend. The only thing they did to help was offer us a rollaway bed "for free". I was pretty annoyed. Then they gave us the handicapped room, which meant that the shower was all but useless. After this we complained more, and they merely transferred us to another king room with (again) the "free" rollaway bed. Also: they are really different from other Marriotts in terms of how they charged for every little thing. They charge for internet (which is common), but they ALSO charge for any chair on the beach (each one separately), as well as the umbrellas. If that isn't enough, like other hotels that also charge for such items, they don't mark your seat/umbrellas as "taken" for the day once you've paid for it. This means that if you leave your post for any reason (like going to lunch for example) and you don't leave somebody there to guard your chairs and umbrella, they might give it to somebody else b/c its now "empty"!! Ridiculous. The only good thing for us was that it was away from the noise from the main part of Ocean Drive, so it wasn't full of college kids and a constant party all the time like other hotels on the beach. But the South part of Ocean drive was still walkable from the hotel, or a short cab ride.

Staff is awesome! So nice and did everything to make my stay absolutely wonderful! they put me in an ocean view room when i only had a quality guest room. Would definitely stay here again! Marriott hotels are the best!

although i was dissappointed by s. beach in general,the marriott was a shining star.the staff was curtious and helpful,the location couldn't be better.if i go back this is where i will stay...

Service, ambiance, location, and food was outstanding. The hotel looked a little small for a Marriot hotel..........but still better than everything else on ocean drive.

Location and pool. Nickle and dime you for everything, $30 for a lawn chair and umbrella!!!! No extra amenities here, paid $30 extra for lawn chairs and umbrella. No service for food or drink on the beach property have to walk up to the hotel to order yourself.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for five days at the end of last month. The hotel was unbelievable. The staff was very accommodating and informative, offering as much help as they could with any situation. The hotel itself was beautiful, pools and fitness center included. The only issue with the pool is that you must get down there early if you want a place to sit. We didn't rent a car while there but the location was right in the center of everything. If you stay here, walk around, its really the only way to see absolutely everything around the hotel. The beach was very well kept, my only complaint is that the hotel does not provide free chairs, and they must be rented for $10! No worries though, many people lay out on towels, it was not much of a problem. Overall, unbelievable. I hope to return here again next year.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and met every one of my needs. The concierge really helped me get around. It was a wonderful hotel by the beach and walking distance to the clubs and restaurants and the main strip. However, I wish the cleaning service did a better job replacing the dirty towels and bath products. The bathroom did not look like it was cleaned from the previous customer.

Hotel was empty, off season, midweek, and they still gave us a room with no view and no balcony. Every other big hotel that I've been to recently has upgraded. Pricey. Will stay somewhere else next time, tons of competition.

The rooms were clean and neat. The front desk staff were kind and professional. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach. It was a piece of heaven on earth.

The lobby of this hotel is nice. But you walk into your room and may be disapointed. Also the front desk staff was pretty rude.

Abit worn and tired. This was a hotel that was possibly very nice once upon a time, but it had aged. The room always felt humid, even when quite cool, the air conditioner rattled and rumbled. The room was quite small, but adequate. WIFI was quite expensive. Lobby areas were chopped up and unfriendly. This was listed as a four star, it did not live up to that ranking.

I was looking for somewhere in the southbeach, close distance for walking to all on the strip. The Marriott SB has a key local, close enough but still away from all the hussle of the strip.Being a marriott rewards member most of my stays are with the Marriott properties, I was a bit concerned of the overpriced room that didn't have the marriott eye appeal (the plush coziness of home...) however, I did have a oceanview... I do plan to return, I hope that they have renovated by then to the Marriott standard that I have grown to respect and love.

Everything went smooth. I noted on my reservation to make sure I have a double bed because my young adult daughter and her friend also came. The Hotel did not have any more rooms with double beds but they did give me an Ocean front room with a king size bed and a roll away bed which made up for the inconvenience. The room was comfortable and clean. The pools were wonderful. The location is great. I couldn't ask for a better vacation.

It was up to date and fancy, very nice and clean. A little expensive to park the car and no free Wi-Fi. It was a really nice hotel, was a lot fancier than I expected. Staff was really nice. The car parking was a bit expensive ($34 a day).

Excellent location, very nice overall hotel. Big fees for parking, internet and other amenities. The location was exactly what we were looking for, right on the beach. However, there seemed to be a lot of nickel and dimes for everything. We were immediately thrown back for the $32 we had to drop on parking (before tip). We were hoping that the internet was included, but it was $2.85 for 15 minutes. I'm sure that for individuals accustomed to this, it is nothing out of the ordinary, for us however it was a little shocking.

The hotel was very good. Nice situated and with a great pool overlooking the ocean. Good service, great restaurant. We travel a lot and have been in many hotels and would definitely go here again.

Location, good service. Unexpected charges ($32. per day parking), no place to sit around pool. Excellent location, comfortable room, great views, convenient to beach.
