Good location walking distance to attraction Room is clean and staffs are friendly

The staff was very friendly and the gym was great. The room we had was on the small side. The staff was extremely helpful, and there were a couple of nice restaurants on the premises, though they were a little pricey. They had the best gym I have ever seen in a hotel.

Upon arriving to the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly staff, they were kind and effecient, but did not seem to have much knowledge of the surrounding area and bars in Ottawa/Hull. (approx 11PM). We immediately took the elevator up to our room, only to find out the room we had booked (King bed, with queen pullout) was not what we had received. Upon calling the front desk they claim there was no room fo this type, and they were not willing to allow us to change to a room with 2 beds due to full occupancy. The room was very clean, the air conditioning in our room didn't work, but the rest of the room was satisfactory. We pay a hefty price for this hotel, but that could be because of the last minute booking. Also while we were here, we were informed the mini-golf, whirlpool, etc.. were all under construction, would have been nice to have been notified of this as well. Overall, the price is pretty high, but the quality is there, and the staff are friendly. We didn't get what we booked, but over all the stay was satisfactory, however I would not stay there again. oh ya, they claim nothing is wrong, but the pool is super COLD!

Location. Variety of restaurant food. Great overall experience.

Very helpful staff. I became ill and they did everything they could to help me out. Thanks Night manager! The restaurant at the top was so nice! Expensive, but an elegant place with a great view/views. Room and bed were good, typical. Room a bit smaller than other Marriotts I have stayed at. Tough to get food after 9pm in that area. We got a nice internet deal, which made the room a good value. Normally the price is a bit high.

Starbuck cafe within. No in room bar no movie felt like a sales rep on a tight expense account. Ifelt like being at a travelogue.

"Everything fine, BUT the fire alarm went off at 4am due to an ERROR that occured and not an actual emergency. We were on the 24th floor, and were informed the problem was on the lower level. This was terrifying due to our being on the 24th floor. We complained to the manager the next morning who told us he was glad the alarms work and that they wake guests up. That is what they are there for; and have a nice day. We had a 400 mile drive back home and didn't sleep from 4am until check out so we would have appreciated more from the manager since it was not an actual emergency."

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Great location and friendly service. I also appreciated the late hours of pool access.

It was clean. No free internet and at $12.00/day it was way too expensive. Clean hotel with friendly staff, the costs of things in the hotel, internet, andfood was way too expensive though.

I loved the beds, they were so comfortable. There were no movie channels, you had to go to the lobby to get a DVD player and sign movies out.

Fast elevators, quick checkin/out, clean, and nice rooms. Little far from Parliament and Byward Market. Quite a nice hotel. Safe area, all good.

I appreciated the location and the kindness of the staff. The hotel is an old building. We were very happy with this hotel and we will recommend it.

Comfortable beds. No queen size beds. No mini bars in rooms. Poor desk setup. The hotel used to be a Ramada, I believe. It's been spruced up a bit but isn't up to Marriott standards. My room had a large flaw in the wall that had simply been wallpapered over. The desk setup is extremely poor for business travelers. It would have been difficult to position the TV to be viewed from the one armchair in the room. They've installed HD LCD TVs in the rooms but only have a Standard deficiency signal. Why bother? The hotel information binder outlined an express check out feature using the TV that isn't available at this hotel. It can be done using the telephone but I still had to call down to the front desk to confirm I was checked out because there was no message on the phone process. All in all, I'm disappointed for it being a Marriott.

The large size of the beautifully appointed room. Such a fresh fragrance too. Lobby rug and general area was a little tired and needs refurbishing. Excellent location, easy check in and out, nice restaurant for breakfast, large, well appointed room and such a very comfortable bed. The only criticism I have is the silly one cup coffee maker.
