Had booked Mardi Gras well over 6 months in advanced. At that time, I requested a front room facing Canal. When we got there, the room wasn't ready, and we were put over the pool area that looked like it hadn't been used since this decade. Poor, poor staff. Won't stay here again.

This was my first trip to New Orleans. The Marriott was a perfect place to stay and had the most comfortable beds! It was 2 blocks down from Bourbon St and only 15 minutes walk away from the French Quarter. The hotel staff was quick to offer directions and suggestions on places to go. The only thing I did not like about our stay was the charge for parking. There is no where to park other than with valet and they charge $30/day for parking. Make sure that you bring money to tip the bellboy and the valet driver. BTW breakfast buffet was awesome!

View was awesome! Room was a little small. Would definitely stay here again.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to New Orleans. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the French Quarter, Garden District and beyond without the rowdiness of Burbon Street. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and helpful in any request. I suggest taking a trip to the top floor to see a great view of the city and eating dinner at Olivier's just around the corner.

Outstanding in every way. Perfect location. Beds particularly comfortable. Our first choice when in New Orleans if price reasonable.

no complaints, everything was perfect

Convenient, bright, cheery and comfortable. Parking is so expensive. Rooms are spacious for New Orleans. Extremely clean, bright, cheery and comfortable. Very convenient to the Quarter or Business District restaurants, River Walk and Harrah's.

The hotel was great. We showed up at 9am and they had a room available. The staff was the friendliest I have encountered. The concierge was very helpful in planning the sight-seeing day. Only 2 blocks from Bourbon St. and the River walk. Very convenient location. The beds were like home. The pool wasn't much to write home about. The main complaint that I heard from people is that it closed at 8pm when the web site said it was open until 10. That would have been a problem if I had my children with me. I would definitely stay there again!

Hotel was excellent. Room was clean and had a fantastic view of the Mississippi. Room service kept the room clean. Bellhop helped with sitesighting and places to go. Love the later checkout time and ability to keep the car at the hotel until later in the day after checkout. Fitness Room was clean and had the latest equipment.

Location was in walking distance to attractions. Two of the major complaints we had was the high valet parking at the hotel, which was the only option available. The curtains in the room were sheer, with no way to make the room dark at night.

fire alarm went off at 2:30 am had to evacuate 12 stories by stairs, stood outside for 30 min. then were told it was a glitch. Happened again 2 nights later. Was told it happens often. No fridge or cooler bars in rooms, no hot water for showers. Food is marginal and very over priced. Only good thing is a great location. Only a 2 star hotel, will never stay again. Staff were not polite.

The people were rude. The room was suppost to be on a private floor with an upgarde it was not!! No one was willing to help us resolve the situration. We will not being staying at this hotel or this city ever again

The front desk was curtious, the room attendant was sweet, the room was clean, free internet in lobby. My only complaint was the $33 per night on site parking fee. What ever happened to parking included, except for the valet tip.

Clean, quiet, nice river view. No free wireless internet in the room. I got a good river view. The location is great just between French quarter and financial district, so everything is within walking distance. and the service is really good. Clean, quiet, just no wireless internet in the room, you got to pay for it. Otherwise, it will be perfect.

Accommodations are clean and the decor inviting. The staff is amicable and very responsive. The restaurant is just okay, except the breakfast buffet is outstanding, although a little pricey.

To begin, the hotel itself is beautiful and very nice; it has the potential to be a great place to stay. Unfortunately, parking was full and we had to park in public parking 4 blocks away in the rain. It took us anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour to get an elevator up to our room or down to the lobby at any time of day. Getting off the elevator in the mob of people prooved dangerous as me and my children were shoved and hit by people trying to get on an elevator; basically the elevator system is a joke. Also, I did not appreciate the hotel staff talking down to me and being unwilling to help organize or correct any situation, even with the large staff of security that stood around and did nothing. We almost didn't make it out alive as we were very nearly hit by a speeding valet while walking in a pedestrian walkway in the garage when we had to walk through because they had closed off the main entrance because of the mobbing crowds. I've stayed in or have visited nearly every hotel in the French Quarter and this is by far the most ridiculous, mismanaged, and worst stay ever in New Orleans. Never again will my family and I stay there. The only up-side of our entire stay was the view, which was amazing.

We had a great stay at the NO Marriott. The hotel backs up to the French Quarter, so the location is excellent! The room was super clean and comfortable. Just be aware that you will pay upwards of $30 per night for parking that is NOT listed in the hotel charges when you book online. Still, we will stay there next time we go because of the quality of stay at such a perfect location.
